The optics are dreadful: Labour leader Chris Hipkins grinning and smirking as the press gallery tries to pin him down on actual party policy just four months out from the election. This is so insane Mike Benz literally just proved CNN worked with Democrats to cover up the steal of the 2020 election There was a plan called ‘Red Mirage Blue Shift event’ The 2020 election would appear Red on election night, but Democrats would win it the next day. BREAKING: Special Counsel Jack Smith has just asked the Supreme Court to rule on whether a President has absolute immunity for crimes he/she committed while in office. Smith is trying to circumvent Trump’s appeal, which would possibly delay the trial until after the election. Smith has asked the SCOTUS to act quickly. If they do, it would likely mean that Trump would have to face trial in the January 6th case before the 2024 election. I want to ask three questions first, which will make it very clear that the BJP is directing and using the Election Commission to damage India's democracy. ❓ Why is it that the CJI was removed from the selection panel of the Election Commissioner? What motivation could there be to remove the CJI? Do we not believe in the CJI? Of course, we believe in the CJI. Why is he not in that room? I sit in that room. It is a so-called democratic decision. On one side, PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah. On the other side, the leader of the opposition. I have no voice in that room. What they decide is what happens. So, why are the Prime Minister and Amit Shah so keen on choosing exactly who the Election Commissioner is going to be? ❓ This is a devastating one. No Prime Minister has done this in the history of India. In December 2023, this government changed the law. They changed the law to make sure that no Election Commissioner could be punished for any action they take while they are Election Commissioners. Why would the Prime Minister and Home Minister give this gift of immunity to the Election Commissioner? Why would they need to give this tremendous gift that no prime minister has ever given before to the election commissioner? ❓ Why was the law with regard to CCTVs and the data that they contain changed? Why was a law put in place that allows the Election Commission to destroy CCTV footage 45 days after the election? What is the need? The answer given is that it is a question of data. They had all the time in the world to issue an opinion or an injunction before allowing this election to happen. They did not overturn a map—they overturned an election. It is the power of the American people that should be the ultimate check on all three branches. Labour’s election policies have quickly descended into farce. Chris Hipkins has now admitted that the party’s flagship promise of “three free doctors’ visits a year” might not involve seeing a doctor at all. According to Labour’s own policy, these so-called “free doctors’ visits” can be used with nurse practitioners instead. The party openly admits this, yet it cannot even say how many of those visits will actually be with a real doctor. Meanwhile, Labour is marketing the policy as “free doctors’ visits” to win votes, only to quietly concede it’s just another primary care appointment. What doesn’t change, however, is that taxpayers will still be forced to pay for it through the party’s proposed capital gains tax.
