Make grill hot, pour oil, scrape with a charcoal brick or in this case, squeegee thing. This is how we cleaned our flattop in our restaurant.

It’s just carbon that comes from the organic compounds of food residue mixed with grease.

Its a grill brick (i believe charcoal) and cooking oil, use to clean and season, I did this when I was young short order cook! You scrub the grille until its pristine

Cooking grease However we have the thought that you may work in hospitality and are asking for the tool because it looks easy to clean the grill with. If our intuition is correct then youre asking about the squeegee and not the cooking oil.

It is leftover residue from a grill brick. Big black thing that looks like a sponge but feels like a brick in your hand. Makes short order out of degreasing your flat top.

It is the residue that is left after using a pumice like black grill brick that is abrasive and used to clean the surface back to original. scraping it like this is the most efficient way to remove it.

The handle item is a grill scraper it has a blade on it. The black stuff on the grill is most likely from a grill brick. 🧱

What else, but oil

That's called the "handle" and it's generally where one grips tools and appliances for maximum control when manipulating them

Are people generally retarded? I see a lot of posts asking what basic things are. A lot of posts. This generation is cooked.

Back in the 70s we used to squirt some stuff on the grill in McDonalds, like an acid (or base, I dunno), and cleaned the grill like shown. We’d follow with ice cubes to wash the residue off, then clean it with rags. Standard closing procedure back then

Look under grill cleaning on amazon. The rubber(?) blade is replaceable. Use it on my grill.

It’s from the brick they use to clean the grill. It’s just black pumice

It starts with a grill/griddle brick and oil. Helps remove everything off of the surface. The squeegee speeds up the process.
