What variable or variables made the defender shift as much as he did to his right which enhances the effectiveness of this crossover?

Sengun got crazy handles for a big, very underrated part of his game. Both left and right hand too

Senguns feet are quicker than most big man in the league. He doesn't posses a whole body athleticisim but he has quickness in his feet, especially lateral movement or revolving around his axis or change direction while moving. Thus bigs are flabbergasted when he does such moves.

The thing about Sengun is he can finish with both hands, which not many NBA players, let alone centers, can do well. He could've easily finished this play by going to his left, since he did it multiple times in the same game

@midrangejumpr2 Him shifting his weight left before crossing back right sells it. Also Sengun probably has the best handle of any center in the league right now and probably a top 3 driver as a center.

Segun's tendency to go left

I would probably go with the footwork truthfully. That, and the timing. His quick pivot from right to left foot in conjunction with the location of the ball mid-dribble.

It’s a slight shift of weight as he goes from tall to low, combined with the right-right-left footwork of the hesi

Sengun like to go left, and the defender Watching ball and not body

Sold it well

Gaffords brain

he jabs with his left foot + gets the ball outside of his frame + attacks his top foot (gafford's right foot)

Eyes n likes to go left

Offensive player changes pace, changes hands, shifts weight to sell change of direction, then uses both a stutter step and a cross, once defender guesses wrong and bites

In my experience, it's the step to the left AFTER the ball is hanging in in the left hand. The combo of the ball crossing Left > Slight delay > Left foot jabbing left.

This ngga not expected to move this fast he used to be slower than this

The wide cross, head fake to sell left, and close to a carry to give the idea that he was going to pull up

Sengun moving his left hip and his left foot going in

The threat of the blow-by drive left, which has cooked many in the past, was convincingly sold at an elite level, lol.

initial positioning and body angle are wrong in the first place. leaning forward and moving to the side while not being low on a defencive stance making his balance very bad. cant recover either due to all of this

It’s called a cross jab
