🇵🇸 🇺🇳 Board of Peace High Representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov hailed Hamas’s acceptance of “complete demilitarization,” while tiptoeing around Israel’s killing of Palestinians and unmet commitments before the UN Security Council. 🔹 He explained that the roadmap for decommissioning and withdrawal would be reciprocal, which undercuts Israel’s demand that Hamas disarm first and unilaterally: “Withdrawal follows verified decommissioning and proceeds in phases. It is sequenced and reciprocal. Each step rests on the successful completion of the one before it. … Progress is performance-based, not calendar-based.” 🔹 Israel is “not a signatory” to the withdrawal and weapons decommissioning roadmap, and the Board “never asked” it to be one.
