The Arctic flood gates are opening up, as a strong & warm (relatively) block grows over Greenland. That warmth will shove the frigid Polar Vortex south, with multiple cold plunges in the batters box for the next 10-15 days in the Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The chilly air will visit the Deep South and #Florida periodically too.

In the stratosphere at an altitude of around 30 km, the polar #vortex is partly distorted and split into two lobes. 🧐 Over the next 14 days, its lack of compactness is expected to prevail, as indicated by model forecasts. Such a state of the polar vortex allows cold Arctic air to penetrate into lower latitudes in some regions. This is currently affecting Europe, while warm weather prevails in America.

There is NO END IN SIGHT to this brutally Cold pattern, with multiple waves of Arctic air likely to continue pouring into the U.S. well into mid-December. The Polar Jet Stream will keep diving south again and again, dragging down round after round of frigid Canadian air. This is the kind of cold we normally see in the heart of January - seeing it this early is highly unusual. Temperatures will run 10, 20, even 30 degrees below normal, and some locations may drop below zero for a prolonged stretch. Wind chills will be even worse. Bottom line: ⬇️ The cold isn’t going anywhere. Bundle up… it’s going to be a long, frigid stretch. 🥶

People who don't know what Climate Change is have been mocking the fact that planes are frozen in Ice in Munich, Germany who were allegedly headed to the 2023 United Nations 'Global Warning' conference in Dubai. It's actually called the 'United Nations Climate Change' conference, and climate change leads to extreme weather conditions such as an abnormally cold and snowy Fall in Germany. All this does is further make the point you are all trying to fight against. Climate change from human actions is very real. That doesn't mean we have to stop producing oil or consuming oil altogether, but it does mean we should be trying to switch to cheaper energy that becomes more and more efficient and affordable each year like solar, wind and nuclear energy as well as EVs and battery storage.

SNOW-EFFECT SNOW?!? ❄️ As Arctic air surged south across deep snow cover in the Central U.S., it was able to pick up moisture, similar in concept (but weaker) to classic lake-effect processes. Once that cold airmass moved over snow-free, relatively warmer ground, low-level instability increased. That promoted rising motion and cloud formation, much like when Arctic air pours off the continent and out over the ocean. 🌨️ The end result: scattered snow showers and flurries showing up on radar across parts of MS, AL, TN, and KY.

A strong Pacific Jet will blast mild air across the nation over the next week. Temps will once again jump to 30°+F above normal - a “blowtorch” pattern through next weekend. But we are in a very changeable/ transient pattern, with both a strong Pacific jet and also strong high-latitude blocking. The combo of these two players means, strong shifts - a week to week see-saw pattern. Not just changeable, but volatile, herky-jerky weather whiplash. In about 8-10 days cold should return to the Eastern US. The real question is: can it lock in? Or will the pattern stay transient? Probably transient given the active Pacific jet, but we’ll see.

Remember what will exacerbate clean up efforts on the back side of this major snow-sleet-ice storm is the intense cold that comes in just behind it. Tuesday morning's record low in DC is 6°F which we have held onto since 1935 and we may very well break it. Bitter cold all week!

This means Sea Surface Temps reached a certain level above normal, and the ocean and atmosphere “coupled” meaning they are now working in tandem to produce impacts. Many people think that the Younger Dryas abrupt climate change and mass extinction event was caused by a meteor impact or a meteor grazing through the atmosphere, but that is not true. That is a deception. Twelve thousand years ago, the abrupt climate change, cooling, sea-level changes, and mass extinction of the megafauna coincided with the Gothenburg Geomagnetic Excursion. The legends about this are ancient, and they always point to the far North, whether it’s the Greek legends of the Hyperboreans, the Celtic legends of the northern tribe Tuatha Dé Danann, or the Tibetan stories of Shambala an advanced city where human knowledge is never destroyed by catastrophic events or corrupted, also said to be hidden within a mountain in the far North. Why did they choose the Arctic Circle? Is it safer during the Geophysical Event? Is that why Trump wants Canada and Greenland, and why the Global Seed Vault is built on a Norwegian island in the Arctic?
