@metofficeUK Clouds, Jimmy. They’re clouds.

@metofficeUK Explanation: clouds. ☁️ Have you alll gone mad? Clouds can take many shapes.

@metofficeUK That’s the sky, it’s been there a while. In the sky there are clouds, there are many types of cloud formations, and in this day you don’t have to bother with books because there is lots of information on the internet. Try typing in “cloud formations”.

@metofficeUK A mackerel sky is a term for clouds made up of rows of cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds displaying an undulating, rippling pattern. Often an indication of rain on the way.

@metofficeUK Is this the first time you’ve ever looked up ?

@metofficeUK This was E Yorkshire this morning! Then it got really windy and it dispersed. We now have a lot of blue sky and proper clouds.

@metofficeUK Somehow.. we must stop this madness!

@metofficeUK It’s a mackerel sky…. It’s got that name, any name because they’ve been around longer than we have

@metofficeUK Clouds. Here is a picture I took on a dog walk ond hour ago. Lovely day.
