@metofficeUK That’s the sky, it’s been there a while. In the sky there are clouds, there are many types of cloud formations, and in this day you don’t have to bother with books because there is lots of information on the internet. Try typing in “cloud formations”.

@metofficeUK A mackerel sky is a term for clouds made up of rows of cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds displaying an undulating, rippling pattern. Often an indication of rain on the way.

@metofficeUK This was E Yorkshire this morning! Then it got really windy and it dispersed. We now have a lot of blue sky and proper clouds.
