Bruh, never played a Sword Art Online game before till recently. I finally opened SAO Fractured Daydream for the XBOX Series X not too long ago and can't put the game down. Most anime games are usually milked slop with little effort. But this game is pretty competent. It has an arcade-like feel to it, and scoring rewards you with weapons, accessories, and costume drops when hitting high ranks at the end of each mission. I've only watched Season 1 of SAO, so I don't know most of the characters. This game combines all of the SAO series of characters into one game. What I love about it is that every character feels unique. The GGO characters have 3rd-person shooter mechanics, which is dope! It's 20 players divided into 5 parties of 4 online, and crossplay too! Review coming soon!

In the pitch document for it, it mentions some Splatoon references for the fact that you can customize your characters and your gun (yeah it has some kind of gun), and the fact that it's a team based online game.
