When I spoke about how this bill could be used to target trans people, Republican Leadership objected multiple times, stating that "the bill had nothing to do with the transgender community." They'll use every procedural tool to silence the communities holding them accountable.

Further, Majority Leader Vinton's claim that the bill wouldn't impact trans people doesn't hold up when the bill's sponsor equated drag with being trans in his email to legislative services when drafting the legislation. They know what the legislative intent of these bills are.
