When it comes to luxury, nothing tops Tesla Self-Driving imo. Ridiculously expensive cars from Rolls-Royce, Bentley, etc. have fancy materials, but if the car can’t drive itself, what’s the point? This is the new luxury.

Every single Tesla comes standard with Sentry Mode. When parked, the Tesla uses its Self-Driving cameras to provide surveillance whenever a threat or motion is detected. Tesla pioneered this. I can’t imagine having a car without this capability.

Tesla Self-Driving 14.3 threw up a camera blinded warning, and then threw up the red hands. But the camera wasn't actually blinded at all. The funny thing is, when I pressed the accelerator the car continued to follow the driving path. It was still very much able to drive, but refused to recover from the red hands on its own. Strange.

I think everyone should listen to this. Tesla FSD has gotten so incredibly good that people are now getting so hung up on the lingering issues and completely dismissing the fact that we literally have self-driving cars. When I grew up the idea of a self-driving car was something out of science fiction. Ten year old Devin could have never guessed that later in life his car would be driven by electricity and drive itself. The future is cool, appreciate it for what it is and don't get too hungup on the imperfections along the way. Tesla is actively putting out new updates as fast as they possibly can to continue to make FSD better - let them cook, and enjoy the ride.

One issue for the Tesla Tesla Robotaxi team when it comes to vehicle arrival & communicating with the passenger, especially if the passenger is blind, is where the car eventually stops. In this case, the car had to drive further than the original pickup point because of parked cars along the roadway, but this meant a much farther walk for the passenger & this was not immediately obvious to Konnie, who is blind & cannot see the displayed information on the app. There is an opportunity to make improvements, perhaps with xAI Grok integration to use verbal communication to help mitigate issues like this. I trust Tesla FSD to drive more than I do myself at this point. Elon Musk says that in 10 years, 90% of the distance driven will be driven by AI in self-driving cars. I believe it. We’ll reach a point where manually driving is universally seen as dangerous.

When I’m in the US I have to try Tesla Full Self Driving - it’s bloody awesome. This is Glendale, AZ in a new Model Y - although it did park itself in a handicap bay (to be fair, that’s where it started!). When can we get this in the UK? It’ll keep older drivers driving longer
