When will atheists stop making this terrible argument?

I was preaching last Saturday,and an atheist asked me if God is Good why would he kill millions of people in the Bible? I answered back,if there is no God why does it matter? He walked off😅 Atheist arguments are very weak.

Atheists keep using bad arguments because they are suppressing the truth. But Peterson cannot be the answer either. Morality without Christ is still lost. We need the gospel, not just good logic.

I watched the entire event and not a single one of the atheists displayed any modicum of critical thinking, cognitive ability, theology, philosophy of metaphysics. Many of them were rude and disrespectful, many of them became insulting, and all of them made terrible arguments.

I would just add that the claims of Christianity stand on their own--independently of any other "religion", and if that's the case and Christianity is true--then I can take all other "gods" and "religions" and throw them in the trashcan. I don't know or care about Lono.

It's easy, Jesus says "No one comes to the Father except through me". Translation: All other Gods are fake. If Jesus rose from the dead, it's checkmate. All other religions are false.

To be fair, this wasn’t an argument for or against theism, it was an argument for why “atheists reject God but don’t know what they’re rejecting” isn’t a problem.

Being ignorant of a god is not the same thing as being ignorant of the concept of god. Atheists are aware of the concept of a god, even by their own admission. This disqualifies them from claiming that they "just lack a belief" in god.
