This is exactly what not to do if you get cauliflower ear from wrestling or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It’s always best to go to the Dr and they usually use a needle to release some of the pressure. This looks very painful!! It is a right of passage for some of these fighters and a lot of them “want” to get it.

My ear hasn’t been feeling too good, so I got an injection before today’s match, and I felt a little dizzy afterward. It’s disappointing that I wasn’t able to perform very well today because of that, but I’ll make sure to play better starting from the next match. Coach Homme: I’m sorry that we’ve shown some disappointing performances in Rounds 3 and 4. We still have three matches left, so we’ll prepare well and do our best.

Watching Taehyung’s live with JK yesterday and hearing him talk about losing hearing in one ear made me pause the video for a moment. It hit me harder than I expected. I’ve been living with hearing loss since grade school, but I only recently had it properly checked. My test showed normal hearing in my right ear but profound hearing loss in my left. Being in my 30s and having to accept something like that has honestly been difficult. People often think that if you can still hear with one ear, you’re okay. But there are so many little things you suddenly have to think about. I always make sure I’m seated with people on my right. I can only comfortably answer the phone with my right ear. Regular earphones can be frustrating because I need the vocals or important sounds to reach my right ear. I can’t properly tell where a sound is coming from because everything feels like it’s coming from my right. And these are things I never used to think about. Now they’re just part of everyday life. That’s why when Taehyung casually mentioned his hearing during the live, my heart sank a little. He may have talked about it so nonchalantly but hearing loss can be really difficult to accept and adjust to. I know that because I’m going through it myself. I would never assume that what I experience is exactly what Taehyung is going through. I just hope he knows that there are people who understand how scary and frustrating it can be when something you’ve always taken for granted suddenly changes. My doctor hasn’t recommended a hearing aid for me yet, and I’m hoping my right ear stays healthy for a very, very long time. But hearing Taehyung talk about his own hearing made me realize all over again how much I want him to get the care and support he needs. Taehyung, I hope this is something treatable and that your hearing improves. More than anything, I hope you’re getting the care you need and that things get better for you. Please take care of yourself. We’re all hoping and praying for you.

My sweet baby boy 💙 smiling ear to ear and chanting “no more petitions!” as we left SOS dropoff. He’s only ever known this accidental activist life. When he was just an infant, our local school hurt his big sister… and that lit a fire in this mama bear. I weaned him, went back to work nights & weekends so he and his siblings could attend private school. I saved my girl—and then dove in headfirst to protect others. The last 6 months? A whirlwind of petitions. Every doorbell = “Ohhh, more petitions?!” Some weeks he barely saw me—but look at that proud, ear to ear smile sitting atop a mountain of petition boxes. It melts me. This wasn’t the childhood I planned for him. >>> But it’s the one God planned for us. Our whole family sacrificed for this —and so did so many of you and your families!! I’m so proud of our incredible ProtectKidsColorado team, relieved we made it through, and so grateful to soak up WAY more moments with my babies for a minute. They’re my why. Always have been. It’s like looking in a mirror. 🪞 Check out the joint attention between this little one (10 weeks) and her big brother - who’s teaching an absolute master class in how to stimulate baby’s brain. I mean, are these two locked in or what? Brother is at baby’s level, up close, face-to-face and grinning from ear to ear. Their eye contact is unbroken. No distractions… just them. 🐯I’ve never told ARMYs this before~ has it been about two and a half years?~ My hearing has started to get worse~ 🐰but since you've been going to the hospital recently, has it gotten better? or has it gone back to how it was?~ 🐯yes~ after a month, it went back to how it was~ right now, if my this ear (left ear) is 100 means, this side (right ear) is not more than 30. 🐰this kind of things, you need to take care of them well~ 🐯so I’ve been taking medication consistently~ 🐯honestly, this too~ what was it~ after i got this condition, during the military it actually got much worse~ the others *servicemen* really~ it was a place where people who really worked out gathered and they were really intense~ and they said it was a mental strength/willpower issue~ and following that I sort of hypnotized myself into believing that it was a willpower issue~~~ 🐰you can't do that~ 🐯I've been diligently going to the hospital~ +
