"What matters isn't BIP 110 ... what people really care about isn't spam ... it's can the Bitcoin network get its shit together to defend against quantum" Dave on what people are really worried about beyond the BIP 110 debate "Where is the value, where are people looking? The new narrative on Ethereum is it's a safer network and it'll be quantum resistant and faster" "The narrative on Bitcoin is there's a BIP 110 debate. At the end of the day, and I'm oversimplifying, what matters isn't BIP 110, what matters is the process" "Can the Bitcoin network get its shit together to defend against quantum, and can they defend against theoretical attacks like the one that Duke professor you quoted [51% attack with short perps position] last week talked about"

BIP-110 mandatory signaling has begun! Congratulations to all involved! I hope everyone learned something about consensus and how forks work. Now we can go back to productive discussions about Bitcoin software development.

A change to consensus rules with no consensus. The BIP-110 debate is not about spam, it is about the dangerously low bar now set for pushing consensus changes into Bitcoin.

Matt Hill on BIP-110: "Bitcoin is not a democracy. Bitcoin doesn't care about people's opinions. Bitcoin is code, code is law. The code that you run is your opinion and your influence on the network."

Why is everyone hating on Bitcoin rn? Why is the Bitcoin price crashing? Is it because of Epstein? Or is it because of quantum computing? What if we are actually wrong about Bitcoin?

Hodlonaut on why Big Bitcoin is suddenly posting about BIP-110: "This movement is massive right now. There's a reason Michael Saylor is posting all these posts about BIP-110. He's worried. This is our shot. The movement is here, the energy is here. The people have stood up and put their skin in the game. So I don't agree at all with 'we must not burn the capital.' Shall we burn all the capital that has manifested and is now surging, reigniting the very idea of being a sovereign Bitcoiner? No. We shall join it, and we shall make a stand." hodlonaut #BIP-110 on The The Bitcoin Matrix Podcast ⚡️ #286.
