I spoke with Nima Alkhorshid Dialogue works on Trump’s TARIFF WAR: “Trump just used a questionable law to impose new 10-12% tariffs on over 60 countries. Tariffs are weapons of war. If you impose tariffs on somebody, they will turn against you. Tariffs just make enemies.”

🇺🇸 President Trump says he solved a war today by using tariff threats: "Just today, I stopped a war. I won't go into which one, but you'll be able to figure it out. I stopped a war by the use of tariffs. Oftentimes, I'm able to do that. I stopped a war just today through the use of tariffs, the threat of tariffs. If we didn't have that, other countries would use tariffs on us, and we would have no fair means of fighting back." Anyone know which war ended today?

Challenging few weeks in respect of Greenland but I welcome the announcement by President Trump that force will not be used and that the threat of tariffs were to be lifted. Important now that we de-escalate tensions and focus on Ukraine.

I'm partnering with Thomas Massie & Joaquin Castro to introduce a major new War Powers Resolution that will force a vote in Congress to block Trump’s insane escalations against Venezuela. No one except the president and his crazy billionaire backers want this war—so I’m going to use every tool I have to stop him.
