It slowed and then stopped for this little guy flawlessly! I 100% did not see it until after FSD had begun slowing down. Has anyone else had FSD slow for animals like this before? When you mount a camera to your car and run it every time you FSD in your Tesla, you’re bound to catch those little moments of pure magic that give you chills. This might be my favorite I’ve ever captured. Here’s a very awkward edge case. I am approaching a railroad crossing from an adjacent road. At the very moment I approach the stop sign, the lights begin to flash, and the bell begins to ring. FSD V14.2 does its NHTSA stop, and is at the point when it would normally proceed (BEFORE the gate arms begin to fall). FSD is able to gather context from the flashing red lights and the sound of the bell. From an adjacent road. Without any gate arm movement as additional cue. I really wasn’t sure here, and thought I might need to take over because of our awkward positioning, and because the arms weren’t going to drop before FSD would typically go. But nope. No problem for the sentient AI. As a cherry on top… when the gate lifts, the silver car waves me on and FSD begins to engage the right turn, but it stops before executing the turn…. Wtf?… oh lol. Forgot my robot car has eyes on the side of its head. Unbelievable technology. This company is at the very beginning of something incredible. Sustainable abundance or die trying. ❤️

This is an incredible video I was just sent from a follower who was using Tesla FSD V14.1.4 today. His car was going around a construction crew, but then a bus started driving head-on toward the car. It had no time to go around, so FSD reversed & got out of the way. h/t Dylan Womack

Here is a scenario he shared where FSD waited behind a car by the garage ticket dispenser and then FSD decided to back out and switched to the empty lane on the right to pick up a parking ticket before the access control arm was lifted up. This example shows the strong situational awareness of FSD and quick execution. No other systems can do this other than FSD.

How to switch from FSD to AP to FSD while driving without having to stop the car. I love FSD but sometimes I prefer AP for highway driving. Mainly because FSD does not yet understand HOV lanes, so I find myself switching to AP when I will be on the highway for an extended period of time. The issue with this is you can easilly go DOWN while driving (FSD to AP) but you cannot come up UP without stopping the car (AP to FSD). My fix for this is create two identical profiles for yourself, but one of them has FSD enabled and the other has AP enabled. This video showcases me using that, and shows a kind of funny bug that I didn't notice until later. When you switch from FSD to AP by changing profiles you get the FSD visuals while in AP (until you disable and re-enable it). It would be really nice to be able to do this without swapping profiles, again I love FSD but sometimes AP just suits the situation better. Ashok Elluswamy Tesla AI

We’re all human. It only takes a split second of checking the screen to miss a hazard. In this clip, I’m looking down at the screen and would have missed these pedestrians crossing. FSD saw it instantly and slowed down perfectly. This is the safety net that matters. FSD doesn't get distracted.

FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

FSD V14.1 is ready for Banish! Although not quite perfect, V14 is INCREDIBLY good in parking lots. This video showcases how close we are to banish becoming an actual usable feature in our cars. The idea is to have the car route to a curbside drop off and then immediately route to a parking lot destination. That simulates being dropped off at the front of the store and then getting out of the car and the car going to park on its own.

First real pucker moment on FSD 14.3.3 during our Canadian coast to coast autonomous drive 👀 An automated construction stop sign was in the upright position and FSD read it as an actual stop sign, so the car stopped.
