He never got his due as an actor. Consider Wonder Boys, Traffic, and Falling Down.

And I am still blown away by his attempted seduction of Will in Will & Grace, grooving to Missy Elliott's Get Ur Freak On.

Acting is the most mysterious art form. It's the most ineffable and weirdly good talent. A strange ability I respect more because I still don't understand it well.

Michael Douglas won the Oscar for Best Actor for his iconic performance as Gordon Gekko in Oliver Stone’s 1987 film Wall Street, a commentary on the unhinged financial system taking over America. Douglas is so unbelievable in this movie & I always return to this because of his performance. I don’t think Douglas gets the credit he deserves for his raw talent as an actor. He also has an upcoming memoir that I intend to read & review on this here app.

Michael Douglas won the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street. This performance spawned a hundred wanna-be imitators, but nothing really touches Douglas here. That includes this film’s disappointing 2010 sequel, Money Never Sleeps. This was peak

Oliver Stone asked Michael Douglas if he'd ever acted before during the filming of "Wall Street." Stone was dead wrong. Douglas didn't just "act" he created Gordon Gekko, won the Best Actor Oscar, and delivered the most iconic performance of the 1980's.

In MICHAEL DOUGLAS' memoir he tells how this scene was filmed and how dangerous it actually was and how it formed a 40+ year friendship with KATHLEEN TURNER (+2 more movies and a TV series) that continues today. One Helluva Ride is out Oct 6.

Michael Douglas flashed his Oscar, proving that you don't need to stick to the plan for things to turn out well 🏆 The iconic actor, 82, is sharing all his untold stories with the world, opening up about not being first choice for one of his most famous roles: Gordon Gekko in Wall Street. "How did it turn out? Not bad!' he said with a grin, showing off his trophy 😆✨ 📽️ : #michaeldouglas #oscars

Did you know Michael Caine was considered for James Bond around 1967, after Sean Connery stepped away from the role? He reportedly turned it down because he did not want to be typecast in spy roles. At the 61st Annual Academy Awards in 1989, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Michael Caine presented the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, two official Bonds and one actor once considered for 007.

Michael B. Jordan doing a roll call when he won best actor to honor fellow black talent that paved the way in the way Halle Berry did way back in 2002 for her historic best actress win was powerful. I was happy he mentioned Halle Berry in his speech! #Oscars #oscar

Matthew McConaughey beat Leonardo DiCaprio for the Oscar for Best Actor over a decade ago when McConaughey won for Dallas Buyers Club. Matt didn’t just win the Oscar, he also stole Wolf of Wall Street with this scene. Tough timing for Leo, who otherwise deserved the Oscar in ‘14.

Ciarán Hinds earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Belfast & I’m glad he did- he earned this nomination. Hinds makes everything he touches better. He’s just an all-time great actor in my book who I adore. He’s also great in the new film Is This Thing On?

Michael Douglas' memoir ONE HELLUVA RIDE tells harrowing personal stories BEHIND and often while he was making those iconic films. Here...with his son Cameron...who went to prison for seven years. The pain every parent with a child struggling with addictions knows all too well.

Michael B. Jordan was able to name every Black person who has won an Oscar for Best Actor/Actress for 2 reasons: 1) He is a beautifully humble man who shows genuine reverence and gratitude for those who came b4 him. 2) There have only been 6 Black winners. He is #7… in 98 yrs.

John Cassavetes earned 3 #Oscar noms in his life. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor (The Dirty Dozen), Best Original Screenplay (Faces), and Best Director (A Woman Under the Influence). In other words, Cassavetes could do literally everything. He was the truest artist.

Frank Sinatra could sing, dance, write…and he could act. This man won the #Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in From Here to Eternity. That’s right, Ol’ Blue Eyes could hold the screen as well as he could hold the mic. This is an excellent film if you’ve never seen it.

Remember Trump saying he was such an amazing baseball player and that he could have played for the Major League well that’s all bs! He only hit a .138 in High School and that was his best! All the stories he tells have been debunked in an article! How did he play with bone spurs!
