I had a good meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen Statsministeriet. We discussed the continuation of military support and direct investments in Ukraine’s defense industry. Denmark is one of the leaders in supporting our state and is preparing the 26th package of military aid for Ukraine. This support helps save lives, and we deeply appreciate it. We also talked about the negotiations in Istanbul and the coordination of diplomatic efforts with the U.S. and European partners. We share the view that pressure on Russia is crucial if they refuse to agree to a ceasefire. In July this year, Denmark will begin its Presidency of the EU Council. We are counting on their support for Ukraine’s European integration, which we discussed during the meeting. I thank the Government and all the people of Denmark for every form of assistance to our state and for their unwavering support of our people.

This collaboration has demonstrated what is possible when we work together to confront challenges that affect us all. Any attack on the President is an attack on the millions of Zimbabweans who entrusted him with the responsibility to lead our nation in accordance with the Constitution of Zimbabwe. Leadership in a democracy is derived from the will of the people, and President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa was elected to serve and advance the interests of the nation. Those of us who believe in peace, stability, national unity, and progressive development will continue to stand firmly behind him. As Zimbabweans, we have a collective responsibility to support initiatives that promote economic growth, infrastructure development, investment, job creation, and the overall prosperity of our country. I will continue to stand with our Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, First Secretary of ZANU-PF, and President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
