Yes, kids should be allowed to be kids, but he has to caution them not disturb the neighbors and bark at people. Teach them some gaddamn manners.

Both sides have a point. She was being very cordial and wasn’t nasty at all. The father got salty and really could have handled it without the “it’s 9:15 and after 10” reply. He could have said, i’ll ask them to relax. Instead he endorsed their bad behavior. THAT is what’s wrong.

The kids are at least 14-15 years old, they are old enough to understand community rules regarding noise at night. The father should sit down with his kids and teach them about self control and respect for others. It will prepare them well for the future.
