A question of responsibility before God, before humanity, and before the world entrusted to us. China is eating our lunch on AI power. Period. You can dream about data centers in space and cities on Mars, and I love the vision, Elon executes, no question. But here on Earth, right now, we have a brutal reality problem. The grid is tapped out, demand for AI data centers is exploding, and we are nowhere close to keeping up. China added roughly 500 gigawatts of power last year. We added excuses. Nuclear matters, but it's 10 to 15 years away and AI does not wait. That is why my money is going into stranded natural gas, combined cycle turbines, and massive land tied directly to permits, power, fiber, water, and air rights all in one place. Whoever controls reliable, scalable power wins, and if we don't fix the grid fast, we lose.

Some things we can all do: 🌿 Refuse single-use plastics and avoid unnecessary plastic consumption. 🌿 Segregate and manage waste at source. 🌿 Waste less. Consume mindfully. 🌿 Protect forests, trees, wetlands and natural ecosystems. 🌿 Support organisations working for wildlife conservation and environmental protection. 🌿 Work with local authorities and communities to scale solutions that restore ecosystems and build resilience. 🌿 Invest in businesses and innovations that place people and planet at the heart of progress. When it comes to data centers, Michigan should show the country how to do it right. That means: Data center companies, not Michigan families, pay for their own energy and grid upgrades – so rates don't go up. Data centers can't harm our water, air, or environment. Data centers pay their fair share in taxes to fund our schools, roads, and communities. Data centers are built with local union labor.

In Lagos, a city that lives and breathes water, it is more than a lyric, it is our reality and our guiding principle. The track released in 1975, 50 years after, is still as instructive in 2025. It carries in it, wisdom for humanity. Our true enemy is not the water that surrounds us, but the actions that turn this vital ally against us: the illegal construction on floodplains, the reckless dumping in drainage channels, and the destruction of our wetlands. The recent flooding in areas like Parkview, Banana Island, and Lekki are not natural disasters, they are man-made crises. The enforcement of our environmental laws will be relentless. At the same time, we are building a sustainable future, from the ban on single-use plastics that is allowing our drains to breathe again, to transforming waste into wealth at Olusosun.
