Imagine a life lived, where you would cry about a camping spot while navigating your way with a wide screen probably a 2026 SUV and you can clearly see that if you camped 500 feet in any direction, IT ALL LOOKS THE SAME

It’s illegal idiot. You can’t just pull up on private property or a National Forrest and camp. There’s literally game traps in there

Profilbild von Brando
Brandovor 3 Monaten

@AxaltaSteve Actually you can. 5 seconds on google will tell you that youre wrong. Im a conservationist, i know my way around the laws. Any national forest in America is public and you can use any and all land that you want. First come first serve.

Profilbild von Avori
Avorivor 3 Monaten

No that’s not how it works. In most national Forrest you can do dispersed camping but there’s rules. You cannot camp within 1 mile of private property. You would have to backpack to the location and can’t drive through. So no, you can’t just pull up and camp anywhere. Do more research, you look super dumb commenting and acting like u know stuff cuz u have access to google.

@AxaltaSteve When i drive into Mark Twain National Forest, set up camp, and the MDOC pulls up on me and ask how im doing etc, tells me what im doing is perfectly legal, wishes me good luck on my hunt, and goes on his way. Do you think he just, didnt do his research and is also an idiot?

Profilbild von Brando
Brandovor 3 Monaten

@AxaltaSteve What about the other half dozen times I've been checked for the same thing? Did all of those MDOC officers just not know how to do their job, but you know how?

Profilbild von Avori

I love that you’re spamming random national forest but it literally doesn’t matter because again each national forest is different. The particular area that we were camping in, was attached to private property and does not allow camping within 1 mile of that private property. Stop commenting like you know the rules of every single national forest in America. I’m talking about my specific situation so please just stop. You don’t know what ur talking about and the more you talk the dumber you look

That’s crazy you have to book a spot for camping. Here in New Zealand you just find a spot that ain’t council land, pull up and pitch yah tent.

Profilbild von Kristine Scream

Because people don’t read the rules of the areas or parks and they don’t check maps for private land. They see a TikTok video of someone camping, they think it looks fun and then they do the thing. No prep work, no thinking, and most of the time no proper gear. Trust me. I spend 80% of my life in the backcountry backpacking and trail running and this is completely normal unfortunately.

Get out an assert yourself. If you have to make a video about how ‘awkward’ it is, you are the problem.

Profilbild von Avori

No, I paid for it, drive 3h from home, packed all our gear and food, and there was nothing else for a solid 30mins. At 4pm that’s not enough time to “find another spot” we booked it, they’re in the wrong, they need to leave. Period.

Profilbild von Hick 🇺🇸

Is that not national forest land?

Profilbild von Avori

Nope. Private property backing a national forest.

🤦‍♂️ double booking happens online due to 3rd party apps. It’s not exclusive to human error.

Host told us they never booked but didn’t help us move them

Profilbild von Bacon

Well now that actually sucks. That would be human error right there.

@Avoristrib I Find It Hilarious That Folks Will PAY To Park Somewhere. When You Can Camp ANYWHERE Within An American National Forest That Has A Place To Park. (It's YOUR Park). I Haven't Paid To Camp In YEARS.

Scout out like 4 or 5 spots in a National Forest. Always have a camping spot 👌 👍

Profilbild von Brando
Brandovor 3 Monaten

You said in some replies that this was private property, other replies said it was a National Forest. So, what is it? Just whatever makes you feel like you win the argument? If its a national forest, youre wrong here. Just move a few hundred feet. Be a good neighbor.

Why do you video this and then post it? Boo hoo something was inconvenient for you. You and your soup sandwich need to be back in the city anyways.

This happened to me last time I was camping but I paid cash in person and the ranger never picked it up from the drop off box so it was still available online for booking. They let us pick another spot for free the rest of the trip though and the ranger was super apologetic

Profilbild von Nora Stenofrio

This happened to my husband and I once, had to get a park ranger to make them leave. We let our boxer run around while they slowly packed up and when the park ranger came to make sure they were leaving they told the ranger that our dog bit their child. Thankfully the ranger was unsympathetic but it was such a mess.
