Why do so many people on carnivore avoid chicken? 🤔

Chicken is not satisfying. I can fill my stomach with it, but not be satiated.

Chickens have only one stomach and they pass down the seed oils. Ruminant animals have four stomachs and metabolize what ever they eat little Shawn.

Birds are off my list.

There is something about the taste and texture that gives impression that there is no substance to it?

I lost my taste for chicken almost totally.

Chicken is like tofu with a pulse. Tasteless and needs tons of sauce or curry. Beef needs nothing and tastes amazing

I find I'm hungry much sooner if I'm eating something low fat. I'd rather eat some 73/27 ground beef than chicken. 4 patties with a pat of butter on each one.

Chicken is just too boring! I can eat beef every day, occasionally lamb chops, and I never get bored of it. Chicken is as bad as eating salad to me..

Mankind didn't claw it's way to the top of the food chain by achieving thermonuclear weapons to eat chicken.

I stick with ruminant meat for the most part…beef and lamb are the best imo. Chicken is okay occasionally and prefer thighs because of the higher fat content 🤷🏼♀️

We feel much better running on beef

Because its gay. Beef and pork is better.

How many people that hate on chicken eat eggs?

Its gross and halal is gay @SBakerMD . Halal makes the chicken terrible and its not kosher. @GadSaad stay kosher

I just find chicken tasteless and it doesn’t do anything to me Beef 🥩 just instantly feels good in my body 💪🏻

And we love fat!!

Chicken's like eating nothing unless it's coated in flour and fried

Add butter. Lots of butter.

Chicken is too lean but also, for me highly inflammatory.. not wings so much, but the thighs.. after 9 months on the diet I tried thighs which prior to carnivore was my go to meat.. I could hardly walk for the next 3 days.. hips and knees were killing me..

Curious about this Shawn Do you eat any poultry at all?

Only chicken I eat is thigh meat with skin on and add in some extra fat.

I love chicken wings & drumsticks (with skin), but while I am trying to burn fat I don’t eat chicken very often because it kicks me out of ketosis.

I eat chicken thighs about 1/wk dinner and leftovers for lunch. That is about 60% calories from fat at best. I spoon lat and juice back onto our plates and pour any left over fat from the cooking sheet into a ramekin for later use.

Chicken would be too healthy of an alternative

I picked up a chicken load at a Tyson plant when I first started trucking 12 years ago. I can still remember the smell. Also, I don't think eating super high omega 6 is a really great idea.

👍🏻

Not fatty enough, particularly the breasts.

Because they watched Food, Inc. on AMZN Prime. 😳🐔

my guess is half the answers will be linoleic acid. would love to see someone run chicken vs beef on carnivore with actual bloodwork instead of vibes

I have alpha gal syndrome so chicken is my go to.

Duck is sooo much better. It's got so much delicious fat. Chicken is too lean, so it's tasteless. It's full of antibiotics and sometimes smells like fish when the chickens are fed fishmeal.

Many people following a carnivore diet favor beef because of its nutrient density, particularly its vitamin B12, zinc, heme iron, and creatine content. Ruminant meat also provides a different fatty acid profile than chicken, especially compared with conventionally raised poultry. Chicken is still an excellent source of complete protein, but beef offers some nutritional advantages, particularly when it comes to micronutrients important for metabolic health, muscle function, and healthy aging. From a MitochondrialHealth perspective, the discussion should be about nutritional quality, adequate protein, and overall metabolic health rather than simply choosing one animal over another. 🥩

Smoked chicken thighs and bacon wrapped drumsticks always slap.

Eat skin on add butter. Problem solved
