In Toowoomba tonight for our first branch meeting in Groom and the eastern end of Maranoa. The idea of branches is get people from a certain area with similar values together to engage with each other. From that engagement we need to coordinate our activities to deliver our solutions to the community. If we could get the 200,000 plus people that marched last weekend to deliver 50 flyers with our policies we can get our message out to 10 million homes reducing our need on the mainstream media. Our members will also get to preselect our candidates. Preselection is incredibly important as it is the most direct way to hold politicians to account. One of the reasons why politicians no longer listen to the people is that they are selected by the party not elected. That is a key point of difference with People First - we will give members a say about candidates and policy.
