I’m holding one of the parts inside our KARNO Power Module... This was 3D printed, just like many of the components inside KARNO. Why does that matter? Because additive manufacturing lets us completely rethink how we build heat exchangers. Inside this part, inlet air moves through one set of passageways while exhaust gas moves the other way, allowing us to reach efficiencies that weren’t possible before. All thanks to 3D printing!

Ishowspeed was genuinely confused and surprised after finding out it took humans 20 years to build a pyramid in Egypt and had to ask his tour guide how humans were able to achieve such due to the fact that presently, with the use of technology it takes the same time to build a bridge sometimes 🫩🥀 “How did humans even build this, yeah but this is a lot for 20 years though, ain’t no way they built this in 20 years, we got a better technology and it takes sometimes 29 years to build a bridge”

France invented two things that made history: The strike, and the Renault Espace F1. In 1994, Renault decided that the best way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Renault Espace was to put an 800 horsepower engine derived directly from F1 in it. The result? A Renault Espace equipped with a Williams V10 engine capable of reaching 200 km/h in 7 seconds and taking its four occupants to the nearest demonstration at a top speed of 312 km/h.

I've kept a pretty low (online) profile of what I'm building, but word's getting out. My company Astro Mechanica has invented a new kind of jet engine. Unlike any existing engine, it's efficient at every speed. Because it's efficient at every speed, we can use it in a new way: as the first stage of an orbital launch vehicle. The resulting platform will get payloads to orbit dramatically cheaper than all-rocket systems - among many possible applications. The key insight is to use electric motors to drive a compressor. That way we can make it spin at any speed, allowing it to "adapt" to it's airspeed and combustion cycle. One of the coolest parts: the video below is of a demonstrator my team and I built last year. We already have a new engine with 10x the thrust that will be complete next month.

This Scorpio N driver was on his way to an urgent destination where it was important for him to reach, but in the rush, he forgot to check the fuel level in his car. Halfway through the journey, the fuel ran out, causing the car to stop in the middle of the road. He became worried because reaching his destination was important, and no one was helping him. Then a young man arrived on a bike. The driver explained his problem to him. The biker started his Splendor, sat on the bike, and used one of his legs to push the nearly 2,000 kg Scorpio N all the way to a fuel station, helping the driver reach it. After refueling, the driver was able to continue his journey and complete his urgent work. A salute to the strength of the biker. Using only one leg while riding his bike, he managed to push such a big and heavy car all the way to the fuel station

ollie was asked who of the veterans on the grid would be a good mentor to rookies and the host suggested carlos ollie: “i rate him very, very highly. i mean, when i was a reserve driver with ferrari and i was listening in on all the debriefs and the detail and the way he's able to describe what he feels in the car is incredible. because it's one thing feeling it and often i was finding, okay, i'm feeling the same thing as this guy or esteban, for example, but carlos was able to describe it to the engineers in a way that they could improve the car. i think that's such an important quality to have.”
