My personal observation when taking metformin 850 every night. No change on vo2max or testosterone. I did test every 3 months.

Believe that the human data on metformin is overwhelmingly more positive than these handful of trials promoted. Also, jury is somewhat out on this until @NirBarzilaiMD finishes the TAME trial. Agree on the exercise impact data though, but that can be offset w/other things (NAD)

Wasn't the average age in the study about 63 years old??? At that age their testosterone level is naturally dropping.

Great info Brad. How about dementia risk reduction? Study was w/ diabetics, but this stood out. "The gene expression of SPP1 and APOE, two gene products associated with AD pathology, were both uniquely and significantly reduced by exposure to metformin"

You're the expert, but this seems just a tad fear-mongering? Surely AMPK has other benefits - One review in Nature mentions anti-cancer benefits? I remember reading it also has immunomodulatory properties - Initially it was thought to be anti-viral?
