The assumptions are doing a lot of work there. Many people don't do 30 min workouts 3 times a week. If you're a serious weightlifter / bodybuilding you're doing 90 mins 3 times a week or more.

Nah I agree on this with @GuruAnaerobic the key is on hard things so your body adapts to them, you are not getting adaptions from 15k steps a day

Huberman needs to have a word with his employee managing this account. First sentence should include "...arent enough for OPTIMAL health". Clickbait trash.

"15,000 steps covers most of it" Bollocks. Even 10k steps a day is plenty. And you can't outwalk a poor diet. Eat healthy, and you won't have to exercise so much to stay that way.

Hard training and daily movement are different jobs. Three lifts build muscle. The other 23 hours decide fat loss. Incline walk or stair climber for 20 to 30 min on off days does more than most people expect.

Alongside daily strength training and walking, I practise 35 minutes of breathwork, which I consider an important form of exercise in its own right.

the real insight is that your body doesnt care how many hours you logged in the gym if the other 23 are spent motionless. the nurse example says it all thats the whole argument.

exercise snacks (VILPA) may partly close that gap—15–20 min/week of short vigorous bouts is linked to lower mortality risk. But you still need to break up the sitting.
