Will Astra kill us in the future? 😱 Maybe Maybe not. But it absolutely killed this by recreating Barcelona’s Camp Nou in 3D with 86,964 individually selectable seats ❤️‍🔥 You can literally pick any seat and see what your view would look like from that exact position inside the... stadium. You can also switch between daylight, golden hour, and floodlit night modes to get a much more realistic feel. I very much loved how it optimized the website’s performance by reducing the overview seat geometry from 2,087,136 triangles to 695,712, which is around a 67% reduction, without reducing the number of seats. The stadium itself is built using procedural geometry and custom BufferGeometry, while Astra used InstancedMesh, spatial batching, and custom distance based LOD to efficiently render and manage nearly 87K selectable seats without creating tens of thousands of separate scene objects. For interaction and realism, it also uses optimized raycasting with broad phase batch rejection, TSL and WebGPU materials, shader driven surface detail, and proper seat level camera transitions. A month ago, I built an imaginary stadium using Claude Fable 5. It was great too, but this feels much more realistic. Astra went further by adding proper doorways, staircases, concourses, tier structures, tunnels, railings, and other architectural details you would expect in an actual stadium. Really classy. We should do this for more stadiums and eventually rethink the ticketing experience altogether. Live:show more

Astra did thorough research using all the available resources related to the stadium, so the result should be quite close to the real thing. If any ticketing company or that stadium provides accurate seat data and detailed stadium information, Astra should be able to replicate it almost perfectly :)

A prototype for a more immersive movie ticket booking experience where you can explore the entire theatre in 3D, switch between seats, and preview the movie from your exact view!! Built entirely with Three.js using Claude Fable 5 + Opus 4.8 (had to save some tokens so). Probably I vibe coded a lil startup here? 😭 It has been such a loooong wish of mine to build some kind of 3D experience where I could customize a T-shirt in literally any way possible and it’s finally here. Built with Three.js using GPT 6 Astra, this is a full 3D T-shirt customization studio where you can visualize and customize a realistic shirt directly in the browser. That T-shirt itself was modeled by Astra using Tripo right inside Codex through Tripo Plugin. And you can pretty much do anything with it. You can paint directly on any side of the shirt using different brushes and colors, or even spray paint it in real time just like you would spray on a wall. There are also stickers generated using GPT Image 2.5 that you can place anywhere on the T-shirt, resize, reposition, recolor, layer, and customize however you want. On top of that, there’s support for things like fabric customization, sizing, layers, colors, and even wind simulation to push the realism a little further. Once you’re done, you can export the entire design as a 3D view or export individual images of the T-shirt so you could technically take the design, print it, and maybe even sell it. One of my favorite parts is how the spray painting effect works directly on the 3D T-shirt in real time. I also loved seeing how Astra managed to keep the whole experience performant across devices using a custom BVH implementation along with several CPU side optimizations. And the process of building it was super simple. I generated the initial studio design using GPT Image 2.5, gave that image to Astra with the Tripo Plugin enabled, and it basically handled everything from there. I didn’t have to separately generate a 3D reference, upload it to Tripo, download the asset, give it back to Astra, or manually coordinate any of that. Astra handled the entire flow on its own without needing any additional input from me. Really happy with both the process and how the final result turned out. Live:

I've vibe coded a lot of things, but this is the freaking best BEAST I've built using Claude Fable 5 ❤️‍🔥 A 3D realistic chalkboard built with Three.js. Like Excalidraw, but with "chalk." I never, ever thought this would be possible, but Fable did it. It prototyped the whole thing in ONE prompt. Then I just kept adding more and more features without even knowing how it was building everything. I was flying. It's developed using complex 3D graphics concepts like ray casting, fog, 2D affine transformations, state machines, typographic clustering, and much more. I've always loved drawing on blackboards and chalkboards since school and college, and I used to miss that feeling whenever I typed or brainstormed on a whiteboard. Now, I DON'T. It already has all the features you'd expect from a whiteboard like Excalidraw, and I'm planning to add even more over the coming days. Maybe I'll even launch it as a proper product. What you see in 1st video was after a couple of hours of Astra porting. This is what it looks like now. Blender optimized assets, car physics, police pursuits, missions, cutscenes, audio dialogue and more behaviors. Still very imperfect, but way better than v1. Keep in mind this is not building it from existing source code. People pointed out the PC source code is online, which I wasn't aware of and kind of takes the fun out of seeing Astra pick the game apart and attempt to rebuild it for web. There are still more things missing from the game. But you're looking at in total, around 7-8 hours of Astra picking apart the PS2 game files and attempting to rebuild in an environment this game was never intended to run in. Would the result have been better and taken less time if I used the leaked PC source code? For sure. But it wouldn't have been nearly as fun seeing Astra dig in and try piecing things together from scratch without the source.

This soldiering training is the most impressive and immersive I've ever tried. It is 10x better than a YouTube tutorial video. It really allowed me to see the procedure from all the points of view, and even get super close to get the details. It is a collaboration between @gracia_vr and Imperial College London: they recorded a soldering session with Gaussian Splatting Videos (4DGS), so that you can enjoy it from your VR headset. You can see the action happening in front of you; you can pause and re-watch what you need, change the point of view, get closer, get more distant. And the quality with which it has been shot is impressive: I enjoyed this experience with my DELL Pro Max Tower T2 with NVIDIA Pro RTX 6000, and I could really see all the small details of the PCB that was being soldered! I was really impressed by it. But I also noticed some drawbacks. First of all, some scenes have artifacts that make seeing the details of the PCB hard. I think when it comes to training involving small details, the capture and reproduction of the splat should be flawless. Then, as much as I loved it as a passive experience, I would have liked to have also some sort of practice session in VR. The power of VR is to let you learn by doing in full safety, and this kind of training does not exploit it. But maybe the best way to enjoy it would be in MR, where you have this training video close to a real workbench where you do the actual soldering while following the tutorial. Gaussian Splat can really revolutionize training: this kind of recording is much better than any flatscreen experience, and more accurate than any 3D CGI recostruction. It took one more prompt to give it a polished UI inspired by a reference design that I created with GPT Image. What surprised me most was not how it looked. It was how it worked. Fable built a complete Verlet rope physics system with 46 particles in every thread. It handled gravity, damping, distance constraints and all other features of file upload, text and everything. The threads/ropes even lift naturally with pinned evidence instead of clipping through it. I never asked it to implement any of that. I only described the experience I wanted. Maybe that's how we should work with AI. Instead of writing long long specs, we should explain what we want as an experience and let AI do its thing. How many of you actually know how "what you eat" grows? 🤔 I never learned crop science in school. I learned it by walking around our farm with my father, who showed me different crops and explained how they grow. But not everyone has access to a farm, so I built a 3D Crop Science application in Three.js using Claude Opus 5 to make that learning experience more visual and interactive. It is an exploration of different types of seeds where each seed has three different stages. The first stage shows the whole seed. The second stage is a cross section that shows what is inside the seed and how it grows. The third stage shows the germination phase through a 3D model. There are 24 models in total. The original models were 1,349.6 MB, which Claude optimized down to just 11.6 MB in total. All of the 3D models were generated using Tripo. Claude also created visual information for each seed showing details like seed type, storage tissue and germination phase. Each seed also has a YouTube video that shows how it actually grows in the real world. There is also a section showing where each seed is commonly grown using both a 3D globe and a flat map. You can explore different regions and click on specific areas to see more information about where that seed is grown. The entire experience is fully responsive and also includes quizzes that you can take in both normal and 3D formats. The second stage is a cross section that shows what is inside the seed and how it grows. The third stage shows the germination phase through a 3D model. There are 24 models in total. The original models were 1,349.6 MB, which Claude optimized down to just 11.6 MB in total. All of the 3D models were generated using Tripo. Claude also created visual information for each seed showing details like seed type, storage tissue and germination phase. Each seed also has a YouTube video that shows how it actually grows in the real world. There is also a section showing where each seed is commonly grown using both a 3D globe and a flat map. You can explore different regions and click on specific areas to see more information about where that seed is grown. The entire experience is fully responsive and also includes quizzes that you can take in both normal and 3D formats. Something feels seriously off with Claude Fable 5.1 🙄 I recreated the exact same 3D stadium I had built with Fable 5 just to see how much better 5.1 would be. Instead, Fable 5.1 took more than > 1 hour and hit the max limit 2 or 3 times on a single prompt. Fable 5 basically had the whole website ready in one shot and its output was actually much better. Fable 5.1 felt good with metal but added these weird black things that look like basket wings... genuinely have no idea what those are. Not good. And this observation isn’t just for one website. I saw similar behavior with a much simpler hero page where Fable 5.1 maxed out on a single prompt, something I never really experienced with Fable 5 for similar other websites Also, 3D models and animations of that other website also looked noticeably worse compared to what Fable 5 used to produce. In fact, they were even worse than what I’ve seen Opus 5 do. I’ll keep testing it, but so far Fable 5.1 feels less like an upgrade and more like a regression to me, tbh.

🕹️ As the #vibejam organizer, I sadly can't participate But I still really really really wanted to make an FPV drone sim 😊 So I started to make it today, it has the real movement like a real drone, swerving left and right fast (with your mouse) and steering with keys WASD and Space to go up and Shift to go down, it's just a draft but you can try it here: 🚁 I love that typical VHS-ey analog video signal noise, so i tried to emulate it and of course it gets noisier the further you fly away and you lose radio signal I want to improve the look more to make it look really realistic this time, last year the plane game was fun but it didn't look realistic, this year we can try to go for more photorealistic as AI might finally be able to do it And of course I added an onboard gun and grenades you can throw off the drone Next I wanna add like more stuff to fly through like buildings and maybe some moving tanks and real enemies to shoot too A challenge is to get it to look realistic with just AI generated trees and scenery etc. I will follow the 90% AI rule and try to generate assets instead of importing them Anyway first impression is that there's been a lot of progress in AI models, they're much smarter than when we did the Vibe Jam a year ago, they still make mistakes but much less and it's easier to get your point across what you want them to build, very cool!

Everyone is using Fable 5 to build funny little demos so I decided to build something better. Vibe coded a 3D keyboard ecom platform in Three.js and GSAP. Every key. Every switch. Every color. Customizable in real time in 3D. It's really amusing that whole keyboard is built at runtime using Procedural geometry. To achieve that kind of realistic lighting on keyboard, it used a studio environment (gradient sky + softbox panels) rendered into a PMREM cubemap for realistic reflections. Opus helped a bit more here (as Fable was failing in loop in Claude chat) There is also custom GLSL shaders for RGB underflow/skirt and as well sRGB output encoding + explicit convertSRGBToLinear() on every material color so caps render at their exact swatch value. I don't know any of these techniques and concepts but I have had been reading how both Fable and Opus were trying to approach this by digging into their "thinking" phase. It was great to see Lex Fridman learn and chant the Gayatri Mantra so well and PM Narendra Modi too recite it encouraging everyone to do so daily. Gayatri Mantra indeed is a very powerful mantra for expanding our awareness. I would like to humbly talk about it based on my own experience: The Gayatri mantra, like other Vedic mantras, reveals itself to the practitioner over time as they regularly chant and meditate on it. The Sanskrit words (or basically the sounds) reveal their true meanings in our experience as we chant them. For example, "Savitr" in the mantra though is said to be invoking the Sun, has presented itself in my experience, after much Sadhana, as the bright illuminating force of our own consciousness. Bhur, Buvah, and Svah revealed themselves as my own states of awareness from this waking 'reality', to the world constructed by my mind, to just pure consciousness, respectively. Dhi, is the limited power of consciousness. It's our limited awareness in day to day life. Right now as you read this, my words and may be a little more is in your Dhi. Not what you ate for lunch. But now, that lunch is in your Dhi. So what are we asking for while chanting Gayatri Mantra? We are asking the bright illuminating force that illuminates the waking reality, the mental world, and all of our consciousness to present itself in our Dhi - our limited awareness now. By becoming aware of it, we can wield it. And use it to illuminate, or bring into our awareness, much more than what is possible normally. For example, we can become a Ramanujan if we want by turning our Dhi to math problems, and the expanded power of awareness we have developed will bring to us solutions and equations that others may not see. You get it. As you regularly chant Gayatri mantra, you will realize you are much more aware of the world around you as a sort of a play, an illusion. You will also become much more intuitive. And you will see things others may not. For example, you may be able to see much more to events in the world. And while seeing that, your expanded intuition will help you see a lot more in your mental world about those events - like the factors behind them, and what's connecting them. Then you may also see "the future." You may intuitively see how those events will develop. It all depends on what you choose to focus on with your Dhi and how focussed you are about it. This is my personal experience. Of course, I'm not a realized soul, but that's the end goal. I sincerely believe by chanting and meditating on the Gayatri Mantra we can expand our awareness so much that we are aware of our own consciousness. Which is nothing but realization of the self. Enlightenment! Now, the Gayatri Mantra needs to be chanted as an incantation as prescribed in our scriptures with all its tones as per the Gayatri Meter. This is very important I believe. This too came into my realization one day while chanting the Gayatri Mantra: The Vedic mantras are designed like training data for LLMs. Here the LLM is your brain. These mantras when chanted the right way help mould the brain and fine tune the mind in certain ways to experience the world differently. They alter our conscious experience of the world. The sounds (or even mental chanting) probably reshape our brain's neural networks to achieve this expanded awareness (as in the case of Gayatri Mantra). May be one day neuroscience will find out. So if you do plan to start chanting the Gayatri Mantra and meditate on it, make sure you use a proper version chanted in the Gayatri meter the right way. This is of course my suggestion based on my own experience and what I have realized from my practice.

A closer look on the GSAP powered animations in Webflow. Just from my perspective. In short, it’s way more powerful than I first thought. The more I use it, the more I like it. Of course, there are some parts missing. But it's the first version. There's still a lot to come. For example, custom ease would already make a huge difference. Breakpoints. Maybe a way to add custom functions as sometimes you need to calculate stuff in JavaScript to get complex animations. The biggest part for me is that you can just build the animation inside a timeline. This makes it so much easier than writing it as code. You can fine tune it so much more. When there would be a way to export the tween as code to add some more functionality would be awesome. You can also add custom classes with the timeline, which can then be used in custom CSS to add more functionality. With a bit of custom code you can also use breakpoints for your animations. By using the custom event the animation can be used in custom code which can also be pretty powerful. Didn’t test it so much yet, but would be cool if you could just take the event and use for example the onComplete() from GSAP or other stuff.
