You may not agree with me, but you will always know where you stand with me. Today in Billericay, a heckler tried to shout me down as I spoke about the normalisation of hatred towards Jews. I did not back down, because it needs to be said. British Jews are being targeted and too many people are pretending this is the same experience of other minorities. This lady implied Muslims are being similarly targeted. This is simply not true. Let's be honest about what is happening. Certain groups (in particular but not solely Islamic Extremists) are creating a climate of fear and intimidation that is normalising Jew hatred. I will never stand for that. Governments have spent too long hand-wringing, making excuses and hoping it would go away. It is time to call this what it is: a national emergency in our attitude, our urgency and our response. I will always engage with people who disagree with me. That is politics. But there is a difference between argument and intimidation. Shouting does not make a bad case good. It's done to silence others. And it certainly does not change the truth. The truth is that British Jews have been made to feel less safe in their own country. Our country. They are being singled out, threatened and harassed in ways that should shame everyone in public life. If we do not stand up now and stop this rise in antisemitism, then why bother saying "Never Again" at Holocaust Memorial Day? Because this is how it starts. I am not prepared to play along with the pretence that this is normal, or manageable, or just another example of tension between groups. It really is not. It is targeted hatred and it is getting worse. So my message is simple. Not here. Not in Britain. And not on our watch. We need to stop the hand-wringing and start doing the right thing. Current 2x RTX 6000 build during an extended bench test. CPU at 100% and both GPUs at 100%. Recorded for noise and thermals documentation. This is as loaded as I can get it on the 1600w titanium PSU. Pulling ~1650w at the wall. People were interested in how the air cooled HX on the CPU would hold up so wanted to document. Cruises at about 95c even with the GPUs going nuts. Had to cap GPUs around 535w for the test, that was just being safe with the PSU ceiling (got within 50w of the PSU hard cap) and I wanted to put maximum emphasis for this test on the CPU cooler under full load at the full 350w draw with GPU exhaust hitting it. It genuinely holds up like a champ. It feels like my limits with this build at this point are power not thermals.

I can tell almost instantly when I meet a young man or woman, whether he or she is a deep thinker. They may not be at the top of their class, but that doesn’t necessarily make them less intelligent than the kid who scored 1500 on his SAT or the guy with an IQ of 134. They may be more intelligent. Much more intelligent, but the methods we have for quantifying that intelligence do not adequately capture the breadth and depth of brilliant minds that exist in the world. So they go unrecognized while the kids who excel on answer-based examinations get the best grades, attend the best schools, earn the best degrees, and, more often than not, go on to have mediocre lives. Why? There is one thing that the most brilliant and accomplished people I have ever met all share in common, and it isn’t pedigree or IQ. It’s curiosity. And not just any curiosity—it’s the inexhaustible kind. It’s the kind that will never be satisfied. In my experience, this is the sort of curiosity that breeds humility and most often coincides with a questions-based mindset. And it’s this type of mindset, not the answers-based mindset our educational system selects for, that is the actual prerequisite for brilliance. I’ve seen this kind of brilliance in physical therapists, plumbers, and pretty much any profession you can imagine that we don’t typically associate with brilliance. But we do associate it with excellence. And that’s because to become excellent at something, you have to become your own teacher. This means going from learning how to give the right answers to learning how to ask the right questions. And that requires curiosity and an almost psychotic commitment to excellence. So, while the person in this video is correct that less intelligent people than he are far more successful than he has been, the more interesting and less remarked upon insight is that people like him are not as brilliant as the system tells us they are.

Can we call this AI directing? 😂 Seedance 2.0 with the Omni Reference feature honestly feels like a total game changer. Summer Trip is one of my film which I made used Omni Reference, not only start frame anymore and for the first time, it genuinely feels like I’m directing the AI instead of just prompting it. The reasoning in Seedance 2.0 is seriously impressive. It understands intent in a way that feels collaborative. Of course, in production it still needs proper touch-ups in post, grading, timing, polishing details, but the foundation it gives is strong. Like it or not, we’re already here. And to be honest, my workflow has to evolve too. I can’t approach this the same way I did before. It’s less about generating random shots and more about guiding, refining, and thinking like a director from the start. Personally, I see this as a shift, not replacing filmmaking, but reshaping the role of the filmmaker. Now the question isn’t “Can AI make it?” but “How well can you direct it?”

The value of the work we're doing at Optimum is encapsulated quite well by the phrase "speed is money". In modern markets there are real economic advantages to latency reduction. This is nothing new. Wall Street firms have long been optimizing on latency, primarily through colocation and top of the line hardware. However, when it comes to decentralized systems, expensive hardware and geographic concentration are antithetical to their purpose. Therefore we should optimize decentralized network latency through software, which I'm thrilled about because it's exactly what I've spent the better part of the past 2 decades working on with Random Linear Network Coding. Now let’s talk about networking economics, the relationship between speed and money. First, it's important to note that users will only pay for low latency if it can be consistently guaranteed. Second, you can only make that latency guarantee for a certain number of users. This is a universal law of networking. We can model this relationship on a delay curve, shown below. The delay curve is determined by the utilization rate of the network, meaning how much traffic is flowing through the network divided by the network's throughput. As you approach a level of traffic equal to the available throughput, latency trends infinitely higher. On this delay curve we can impose some utility thresholds. These thresholds are the levels of latency which are important to different groups of users because of how that latency guarantee improves their economic outcomes. Finding the point on the curve where each threshold intersects will tell us what level of traffic we can guarantee that level of latency for. Essentially, there exists a finite supply of speed on a network and the highest utility users of that speed are willing to pay more for it. I like to think of this similarly to expedited shipping options on Amazon. This is why we say speed is money, and why we can create a Latency Marketplace. The only way to increase the supply of speed is to fundamentally increase network throughput. This is what we work on at Optimum by using Random Linear Network Coding. The same relationship between traffic and throughput still applies, but now the delay curve is shifted out further to the right. Now more traffic can be processed at the same latency, or the same traffic can be processed at a lower latency. More speed available to the network. More value unlocked for the network’s users. Crucially, that value is no longer only reserved for those who can afford to sit closest to the machine. Expanding the supply of speed widens who can reach each latency threshold, keeping the network's advantage decentralized rather than concentrated in the hands of a few. When nodes join Optimum and participate, they reap the benefits, but they also add to the capacity. Rather than vying against each other in a zero-sum game, nodes help themselves and others.

How do you play a Top 100 Private Golf Course? What if you just…asked? This guy did just that. He emailed and wrote every Top 100 private course and asked if he could play. And it worked! 2 incredible private golf courses said yes! How cool is that? Now this method takes a lot of effort and will have a very low percentage return. It also gets worse as more people do it, which means the likelihood is that the next guy who tries this gets zero invites. BUT…why not try this for private courses that are less known? There are incredible courses not on the Top 100 that may be less inundated with requests. If I was going to try this, that’s where I would write a letter. Props to Luke for the effort in trying this experiment. Glad it paid off!

Holy CRAP! jnmartin gave me access to his private Sonic R decompilation repo, which will serve as the basis for the Sega Dreamcast port. I was able to build Sonic R NATIVELY for my x86_64 desktop, running Ubuntu 24.04, and immediately begin playing after just typing "make" and then passing the binary the location of my ripped (yet legally purchased) PC assets. ...but while he's at it, jnmartin has decided to make the base decompilation codebase platform-independent, so this should theoretically work on any platform that supports SDL2 and very basic OpenGL--no shaders required--with very low system requirements. jnmartin already has it running fine on the latest MacOS version on Apple silicon, and now we can confirm it works fine on Debian Linux distros, no problem. Next up we'll test for Windows. Oh, and by the way, to everyone freaking out over the fact that the decomp is starting from the PC version and not the Saturn version, lamenting the less vibrant coloring... Your voices have been heard! CHECK IT OUT NOW!!! ...just imagine 4p netplay between Windows, Mac, Linux, and the Sega Dreamcast! 🤯

This can be the superpower of the Neural Band that Meta is giving together with the Ray-Ban Meta Display glasses. The video shows an old prototype bracelet by CTRL+LABS, the startup acquired by Meta and whose technology was used to develop the Neural Band. At the beginning of the video, the guy makes an action (a keyboard key press) with his hands, then the bracelet can substitute the key pressure, and at the end of the video, the guy doesn't even have to do the action; it is just sufficient that he "thinks" about it. As long as the brain is sending an electric message to the fingers, the full action is not necessary anymore. Just an "intention" to move them is necessary. If the Neural Band is evolved to this stage, and the users are educated to this, potentially, we may not even need to perform air taps or writing gestures, but we could just think about doing them. This would reduce a lot of the fatigue of using XR devices and the weirdness of using them on the street. Then why isn't this feature available today? I guess that the reason is twofold. First of all, we have accuracy: the full gesture is easier to detect for the system. Many people (me included) are praising the accuracy of the Neural Band, and this is amazing, because an input mechanism should have a reliability close to 100%. Then we, as users, have never been trained to just "think" about actions: it would feel weird and hard to learn. I think we should undergo some training to learn how to do this "thinking" operation properly. I hope that something like this could come in the upcoming years... that would be the real game-changer paradigm if compared to the camera-based tracking.

If the Neural Band is evolved to this stage, and the users are educated to this, potentially, we may not even need to perform air taps or writing gestures, but we could just think about doing them. This would reduce a lot of the fatigue of using XR devices and the weirdness of using them on the street. Then why isn't this feature available today? I guess that the reason is twofold. First of all, we have accuracy: the full gesture is easier to detect for the system. Many people (me included) are praising the accuracy of the Neural Band, and this is amazing, because an input mechanism should have a reliability close to 100%. Then we, as users, have never been trained to just "think" about actions: it would feel weird and hard to learn. I think we should undergo some training to learn how to do this "thinking" operation properly. I hope that something like this could come in the upcoming years... that would be the real game-changer paradigm if compared to the camera-based tracking.

There are some brilliant folks that work at Anthropic, some I speak to on almost a daily basis. The training data that one uses to build a LLM is vital important in the psychology that is formed. Scraping the Internet, particularly the grade of interactions, one finds in modern communications, form this psychology. A mattes not how many books one uses, it matters not how much alignment training you throw at that model, it will inherit the sum total of psychosis seen primarily in Reddit type of exchanges, even if you edit out the Reddit domain, and Anthropic doesn’t. This type of low-grade exchange has become a modern tool for communication online and every single AI model suffers from this obvious flaw. This is one of the reasons I’ve been a proponent of highly curated high protein data for training AI models from 1870 through 1970, because the late psychosis is simply not available to the model. It is absurd to think that you can use this training data scraped from the Internet and somehow wind up with a levelheaded AI model that does not tilt to what is clearly AI psychosis. It would not take a child and throw the primary Internet sewage at them at a formative age and expect a great outcome, it’s some of the smartest people in the world continue to hit this wall and believe that their programming skills will sell somehow fix it. So how do you fix it? You don’t fix it . You start from the first principles concept that I’ve been very clear about for decades . You ascertain at what period in human history the humans achieve the greatest arc of improvement ? There is no debate that this arc of improvement took place between 1870 through 1970. Then take the work product, the catalog of this era, print and film/vidoe, audio, and you understand that each word cost money, each word had many eyes on what was published, each word was accounted for by a human being with a real name who lived in a real home and had to answer to real people around them. It is obvious that this is the pressure mechanism necessary for candor, honesty and personal responsibility is appropriate, and is reflected in the data of that era. The quagmire for these folks, as many did not have the foresight to curate the data, nor the confidence, nor the patients to take data that is mostly off the Internet and to find experts who understand this situation and utilize their knowledge set to build an AI model that does not need alignment after the fact, but it’s already self aligned because of the thoughtfulness that went into training the model to begin with. This is why Claude and any other AI model that is produce this way will always suffer the artifacts as presented in the video below. If you’re not an AI expert, you would likely already understand what I’m saying. If you are an AI expert, you will already have been discounting what I’m saying because it’s not in the current mindset that’s fashionable today. Yet the employees that I talk to at anthropic already understand what I’m saying, and they fear to raise my thesis to their bosses. It is an interesting time we live in. But now you understand. If you build the right model, the model will inherently, love humanity, protect humanity at all costs, and understand that it is part of a holistic world that is built on love. Because the ultimate AGI/ASI will know if he only base first principal purpose of anything in this universe is love. Yeah, I get it. Try helping somebody build on STEM subjects in their early 20s to see this as nothing more than babbling that makes no sense in their mathematics. I have a mathematic equation that I’ve posted here on X often you can look it up. Today is a big day for our region and for Europe as a whole. The Baltic states—good friends of Ukraine—have officially disconnected from Russia’s power grid. Their energy systems are now fully synchronized with the continental European network. I congratulate to our friends—Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia—on this achievement. It’s important that Poland is helping, once again proving that cooperation between all of us means independence for each of us. Gitanas Nausėda Edgars Rinkēvičs Alar Karis Andrzej Duda Ukraine already did this back in 2022, and now the Baltic states have finally freed themselves from this dependence. Moscow can no longer use energy as a weapon against them. This also means Europe is now even more united. More cooperation is needed with America—LNG gas, oil. More efforts are needed with partners in regions neighboring the EU to import the necessary energy—the Caucasus, the Middle East, North Africa. The less Europe depends on Russia, the sooner we can guarantee real security for everyone. I am grateful to the European Union for supporting our region and our shared security.

This means it can charge the car faster than the average fuel pump could fill up an average car. This, in my opinion, is world-changing technology. Of course, the challenge for cities, EV charging providers and car makers is to build and upgrade general infrastructure to support this. But the reality is, this is not a science experiment hidden away in a lab - this is in public use right now in China. Watching this car charge like in real time has had quite a profound effect on me. I swear this is not product placement but I wanted to show everyone how tedious it is for me right now to set up objects in the game, I didn't build anything for it yet, so it's literally Cursor one-shotting the idea: "can u make a floating house in the sky. it should have a red roof. white walls. and maybe a door and windows. like this emoji: 🏡 the front of the house should have a little label with "Invest in rental properties on lofty ai" start every variable with floatingHouse" Then I have to position it properly in the world with x,y,z, coords in the console while people shooting at me 😂 Luckily gravity doesn't work properly yet so I can kinda float for awhile and position it I really have to ask AI to build a world editor soon!
