Most C Programmers don't have a clue as to how the CPU works. Here is a lecture from my course on the C Language that introduces how to visualise the CPU as a C (or general software) Programmer.... More Details are at: Being able to model the behaviour of CPU provides a solid base to reason about your code. The summary is - - The CPU is a state machine which maintains it's states in registers. - It has busses to memory for requesting data/instruction read/writes. - Interrupts to attend to events. A really insane thing happened to me while I was streaming on Twitch last night. I had over 130 viewers at the time, and suddenly it dropped to 10. I did a test as shown below to tell viewers to type 1 in the chat, and there was WAY more than 10 people there. The WEIRD part about this is that usually the viewer count goes back up once people type, but it STAYED at 10 viewers for OVER AN HOUR. Eventually as time went on it dropped to 3 viewers, and eventually to 1 viewer. I raided out with 1 viewer, but the persons viewer count went up by over 100. It was not a visual bug though, my Twitch Tracker showed that I drastically fell to 10 to 3 to 1 viewer. I've seen lurkers not counted before, but now actual viewers were not being counted even after interacting. I did this test MULTIPLE TIMES, one while I was recording my stats and the other test was done before that with the chat being shown on screen. I am so confused and I can only hope this is a temporary problem.

I think we’ll see the full creative vision of GTA 6 once the PC/PS6/Xbox Helix version comes out. As stunning as Grand Theft Auto VI currently looks, its hard to believe that the game will cut some corners to optimize for the current gen hardware. But looking back at Grand Theft Auto V releasing at the end of a console lifecycle then getting the next-gen version was a night and day difference; it showed how much corners Rockstar Games had to cut in order to optimize this game and run well for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. I believe it is the same situation with the current gen consoles, the GPUs may be powerful, especially on the PS5 Pro; there are going to be some CPU limitations with the Zen 2 architecture.

I learned how to use the GPU Profiler, and I was able to optimize the game enough that even I can play it at 100% resolution and around 60fps now! And that's with the screen recorder going too. Turns out there was a render target eating up about 20fps this whole time!

mingyu teaching the members how to drive and even going with them to get their license 👤 who did you teach? 🐶 hoshi hyung, woozi hyung… 🍒 dino! 🐶 i think i even went with them for their written test? as you know, you get your license at the testing place. and from my experience of it the first time, you take the written test then the driving course test. but within that time, it’s too late when you get a ticket for the driving course test right after coming out from the written test. so i thought about it, “the members are going to take it tomorrow, but the timing won’t be too bad if someone gets the ticket for them in the middle of their test. so they can probably do the driving course test as soon as they come out from the written test”… i’m not sure why i did but i went to the testing place with them 🍒 he said he’d do it for them! 🐶 i did, i told them i’d do it so that they can do their driving course test on the same day too. so after they went to take the written test, it was about an hour long, i got the ticket about 40 minutes in. once they got out, i gave both of them their tickets and said they could take the driving course test right away and they were able to 👤 how reliable! 🐶 why was i like that then... but woozi hyung still doesn't have his driver's license! he only took up to the driving course test 👤 really? but if you fail once then you just think “i’ll do it next time!” and it ends up getting pushed back 🐶 its so funny, why did i do that? what did i do for an hour just sitting there?! and it’s meaningless if they failed! 🍒 mingyu has a lot of those sides to him~

Ceramic Coating test 1 result ⚠️: We ran this test at mild 50% power with gas only and no afterburner ❌... At this level, It's not as loud & powerful as kero so I didn't really need the earmuffs 🙏🏻 1. The ceramic Coating failed completely at the elbow joint from the combustion chamber to the turbine section❌ 2. The ceramic coating held up very well on the combustion chamber and turbo housing✅ 3. The ceramic Coating Partially held up on the exhaust liner, forming a hard crusty layer, although this may peel off in Afterburner mode as temperatures rise to over 1000 degrees⚠️ Tomorrow, we will be running the engine at full power with kerosene and afterburner 🔥.. I also noticed that the ignition coil when activated generates electromagnetic pulses that cause glitches in the brainbox 🥲, this will be looked into asap so it doesn't affect communication on a runway. Summary : The ceramic Coating is not really ideal for the exhaust liner, but can work well in regions having temperatures less than 500 degrees Celsius✅, anything above that and it will stark chalking and peeling off❌. We'll explore more materials for coating the exhaust liner after test 2 results⚡️ #Zedora

The greatest test video so far🔥: Guys Make sure you retweet this 🙏🏻 The engine sent the test bed flying & I had to stop it b4 it crashes into the fence😂, subsequently brushing me down, imagine the force it took to brush me, fully loaded with fuel, the test bed weighs about 48KG⚠️. The control systems are yet to arrive, soon we will control the test bed remotely 😅. This was not even full power, imagine I activated the afterburner, this thing might do up to 200+ km per hour o👀👀👀. We need a runway for a full power test🤧. I will be applying to the government of Ebonyi State for permission to use a runway at the state airport for full power tests on the project, it has grown beyond my compound 🙏🏻. matthew's thoughts about zb1's last concert as 9... 🦊 how was it during makcon (encore con d3)? it was fascinating really... i... on the 2nd day it felt like everything hit me at once, like "wah... this is really the last concert" so i was really sad on the 2nd day and on the last day i was sad but it was kinda... i looked at this (view on stage/overall surroundings?) for the last time and just took in the beauty of it. i was so thankful and i think i kinda just looked at it prettily “one last time”

*** SEGA GENESIS/MEGADRIVE - SCALING PART 2 *** Whats better on a Friday than seeing some scaling effects on the Megadrive ? .. nothing, so read on ... In the previous part we were software scaling in either axis by a given factor, but I couldn't change the scale factor per scanline on the same frame, so I couldn't skew the base image for tilting into screen eg Mode 7 type effects. - One issue was it was scaling column by column which got wrecked for performance trying per scanline adjustments. So I converted to a row scaler rather than column, this allowed expansions and contractions on a per scanline basis. - Speed up the code significantly , now running a sprite load + music + scaling on cpu with ~50% cpu free. Relied heavily on Python scripts I wrote to generate the 68k assembly for this as it was mind numbing labourious. In doing so I got the scripts competing with each other to come up with the fastest method for each scale , I'm starting to like python ;-) - Tried all sorts to speed up the horizontal interupt - handles vertical scaling, exotic methods eg unsafe interupts / racing the beam & updating the vertical scroll every X cpu cycles, in the end the Z80 cpu (audio) stealing the 68k cpu bus intermittendly just killed these ideas as it would only be 95% stable, ended up just doing smarter interupts that saved a lot of cpu instead. - The good and the bad, spent too long on this is the bad, the good is we will need it in Lufthoheit in a few places to make up for that !! AMD CEO Lisa Su just doubled her own CPU forecast in 6 months and the reason is one word, agents (Save this). In November, she told investors the CPU market would grow 18-20% per year through 2030. she just revised that number : "That rate is doubling. The CPU market may be over $120 billion by 2030, growing at over 35%." And here's what changed, six months ago AMD modeled 1 CPU for every 4 to 8 GPUs in an AI data center and now the new ratio is closer to 1 to 1. Because agents aren't passive and they don't wait for a question. They work constantly on behalf of every employee, every customer, every process running inside an enterprise. Each of us could have 2, 3, even 5 or 10 agents running at the same time and that's not just more GPU compute but rather a completely different CPU demand curve that nobody had modeled at this scale. And the earnings backed it up. AMD posted $10.3 billion in revenue for Q1, up 38% year over year. Data center revenue hit $5.8 billion, up 57%, free cash flow tripled to a record $2.6 billion and Q2 guidance came in at $11.2 billion, 46% growth year-over-year. The Milk Road Pro portfolio was built around exactly this thesis, that agentic AI would create a massive, underappreciated CPU demand cycle that the market was sleeping on. I tried my best. I wasn’t thinking at all about whether it would make waves. What mattered to me was simply getting this story onto the screen. I mean at that moment, that was everything. I wanted to make their dream come true for them to see. At the very least, even if this series didn’t gain much attention, everyone I made a promise to gets to see it on screen and can come up to me and say, “Today I finally got to be an actor, just like I dreamed of”. They’ve achieved the dream they were hoping for.

Jet engine Thrust test✅🔥🚀: Finally we have the data we need, at 100% throttle alone, the engine generated thrust of 7.2KG to 7.8KG (76.5 Newtons) At 100% throttle plus Afterburner it soared to 14KG to 16KG, I saw it peak at 18KG, but we'll take the average at 16KG thrust (157 Newtons) For this scale & build, I am a bit satisfied with the performance, although if I ditch the cooling design on the exhaust the thrust will increase significantly, but the exhaust will glow red hot, so we had to trade some thrust for better cooling for the engine. All the same, I am satisfied with the engine performance at this scale. I look forward to our runway tests⚡️ #Zedora #madeinEbonyi #madeinNigeria 🇳🇬

As one of their trusted testers, Google Deepmind flew me out to London and gave me a Pixel phone with the new Project Astra preinstalled on it. They let me test it, explore with it, and try to break it. They even had a mini-bar setup so we could test its ability to make mocktails. Here are some snippets of what Project Astra is capable of. It feels more like a personal assistant in my pocket than anything that's come before it. I got to see even more than this at DeepMind but I'll have to wait on sharing that stuff. Look out for more details soon. :) Note: In this video, I sped up the gaps between me asking questions but I did NOT speed up the gap between the question and Astra's response. The responses are in real-time.
