You can use the Rotator node to spirally distort texture UVs. Adding or multiplying it with a sphere mask and a time parameter will allow you to have full control over the speed, center, and edges of the texture #gamedev #VFX #realtimeVFX #UnrealEngine5 #UnrealEngine

If you don't have $50k to buy a full-blown 3D mocap setup, it's nice to remind you that XR Animator is a FREE alternative which can do full body mocap, prop tracking, musical instrument mocap and more, all with just a simple webcam📷

The first Airbus A330 landed on Wolf's Fang Runway in Antarctica operated by Hi Fly this week. It’s a private runway that is 9,840 feet long. It’s constructed on the glacial blue ice and referred to as a “Blue Ice Runway”. They have a private GPS approach to the runway but it can only be flown in rather good conditions as a non-precision approach. 📷 Hi Fly

New Start: There is a wind driven fire burning in Tecate, Mexico, just south of the U.S. border. U.S. resources are monitoring its movement. There is no indication that it will threaten or cross into the United States, but Mexico has a fast moving fire that might be a rough one to corral. The same winds affecting Southern California are pushing this fire just south of the border. Mexico sent a large contingent of firefighters to help in Pacific Palisades, now they have a swift moving wildfire to deal with themselves. 📷: SoCalFlyer97

Every great dream begins long before the world believes. Luka was once the little boy who tripped over the foul line, wasn't the fastest, couldn't jump the highest, and was told the NBA wasn't a realistic dream. He chose not to believe the limits others placed on him. Instead, he fueled his dream with relentless work, unwavering discipline, and an unshakable belief in who he could become. He stayed loyal to his future, not his present or his past. Today, youth have the opportunity to stand beside someone who didn't just dream...he lived the process. There may be no greater gift you can give your daughter or son this summer than a day with someone who proves that greatness isn't reserved for the most gifted; it's earned by those who refuse to quit. Whether it's basketball, the chess club, physics, drama, volleyball, football, track, or any other pursuit, all can benefit from learning from Luka. You are invited. Grateful to be named 2025 Journalist of the Year by #NABJ Headquarters ✊🏾🖊️🎙️💻 📷 🎥 📝 🔈 — an organization that has so shaped my life and career. I have many people to thank. But I also want to dedicate this award to every journalist who focuses their reporting on those political systems would rather ignore. And in particular the journalists in Gaza, who have persisted amid a violent campaign to silence their work. To spell it out: The Run-Up was not a show about who’s going to win. But how an antiquated electoral system flattens a changing, diverse country — and deepens polarization among an electorate that’s often more alike than it knows. Below are my remarks in full:

Google just announced the biggest upgrade to Search in over 25 years. For brands the opportunity here is pretty enormous. Here is what the new Search actually looks like and how you should take advantage: The search box now accepts text, images, files, videos, and open Chrome tabs. It expands dynamically as you type. It also anticipates your intent before you finish asking. This is the version of Search that SEO Stuff has been helping customers build for. The biggest opportunity here is what happens after the search. Google's new information agents run 24/7 in the background on behalf of your buyer. And that's why it has never been more important to understand how Google, ChatGPT, Claude and every other AI platform sees your brand. (If you want to see where your site stands across Google and AI search, start here: Here is exactly how Google's new information agents work: Step 1: The buyer does a total brain dump of what they want to stay updated on. Essentially a full description of their problem, their category, their needs. Step 2: The agent breaks down that question and maps out a plan across every relevant sub-topic. Step 3: It determines urgency and what kind of intel the buyer needs right now versus later. Step 4: It sets triggers and monitors the web continuously, scanning blogs, news sites, and social posts for relevant information as it changes. Step 5: It sends the buyer an intelligent synthesized update with links and the ability to take action. Here is why this is a massive opportunity: AI Mode already has 1 billion monthly users. Queries are more than doubling every quarter. And multiple studies have shown that users arriving via AI search are more likely to convert. With information agents running continuously for over a billion users, the brands in that cited source pool are being recommended around the clock, automatically, to buyers who are actively monitoring their category. The brands that build content depth and editorial authority now are building a presence that buildings on itself 24 hours a day. This is what SEO Stuff builds for every customer. Content that covers every sub-question a buyer in your category asks, so the agent finds you at every step of its plan. Authority building from trusted websites that signal credibility to every retrieval system Google has ever built. One investment. Continuous recommendations. Around the clock. Check it out: Our most popular done-for-you package: Our done-for-you "content only" package: There is a reason more than 80 percent of SEO Stuff customers reorder. The results continue long after the work is done. #GoogleIO📷📷📷 #Google📷📷📷

Hi👋🏼 Sorry, I’m going to need everyone back in the Erika Kirk double-major folder for a minute. Because this somehow seems to have been filed under “interesting” rather than LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE. Baron Coleman has already documnted this extensively, including ASU’s records from the time. I’d like to add two more ASU documents to the evidence — and these pretty much close the loop. So let me just reduce this to the part no amount of creative interpretation can fix: Erika says she graduated from Arizona State University in 2012 with a double major in Political Science and International Relations. Except she couldn’t have. ASU’s own records show the International Relations degree wasn’t established until 2024 — TWELVE YEARS after Erika says she graduated with it. And just to remove any remaining wiggle room, ASU announced it that year as a NEW(!) program, available starting that fall. Take that in. ASU University Senate — Motion 2024-56: ASU News — May 30, 2024: daisy 🌼

DEADLINE: And I feel like anytime there’s a big queer project like this, it seems inevitable that people are going to be speculating about your sexuality. Or just accusing you of gay baiting. How does it feel having to separate your personal from the professional? STORRIE: I think there’s so much energy that is coming at us with the rise of this show, and for me, at least, I think it’s important for me to have a little bit of separation from the character in the show. All I can really say is that I love Ilya, I love the community that this is a part of and that this caters to. I think that’s so much more interesting and valuable than doing just another run-of-the-mill, straight story. Who I date, who I sleep with, who this, that, whatever, I’m gonna keep that to myself. But regardless, I think this is super important, and I think also on top of that, it’s just really cool. 🔗 Read more here:

I trained Adobe Firefly on my images and it changed how I work. Custom Models learns your visual style. Your light, your tones, your grain. Not from a reference image, not from a prompt but from your actual work. The result? Consistent, on-brand outputs that feel like yours. Every time. Here's how it works 👇 🔹 Upload 10–30 of your images 🔹 Firefly analyzes and trains your model 🔹 Generate new work that stays true to your style And it's not just photography. Custom Models works across creative disciplines: 🎨 Illustration to maintain stroke weight, color palette, and shape consistency across icons and graphics ✏️ Character design to recreate your illustrated character across poses, expressions, and scenes without redrawing from scratch 📷 Photography to expand a photo set with matching light, color grade, and composition No complex workflows. No technical expertise. Just your creative vision, at scale. If you've ever spent hours trying to maintain visual consistency across a project, this is the solution. Adobe Firefly Custom Models: your style, your model, your work. Faster. ✨ I've been using #Unity3D for 12 years. ✨ I'm using Blender's GeoNodes for a procedural mesh that's realtime-animated with a custom shader in Unity. ---(reminiscing, reflection follows)-- At some point, you realize it's 'all' states, relationships, and data/information. What is, isn't, and how they relate, subject to laws, principles. 🌌 Define some latent space -> atomics, data -> simulation/form -> information. Like a grid-texture of pixels that are to mean something, represent something. And they are processed/simulated in some way by some measure. So that you get some transformed, meaningful result. What is possible, here? -- in that space. (by the parameters, and features *defined*). 🧊 Likewise, a 3D field-volume in which things exist, being and not being. It may sound mystical, but I mean it literally: the definition of what things are, and are not, and what that means as a relationship (to something[s]). Take, for example a sphere, or box collider primitive. 🪩 Sphere's and circles are the most simple colliders, involving only a point (where they are) and radius (distance from that point, as a center) to define. 💥 The equations to calculate collisions against and between spheres is also relatively straightforward. Implementation of that is a part of building primitive relationships and definitions for simulations. 🎇 It follows, that for a particle system, the data structure of a single element/particle is (about) some point that simulates in some way. Boids and fluid sims have this in common. It seems this year (so far) has been ~about realizing that (with greater lucidity, at least), and learning it all relates to the nature of the universe. Involving simulations, and data flow-control... Ultimately, all these things are objective to us, in that we learned and were taught about how things work. And all the same, *I'm* still learning, too. 👀 #blender #b3d #geometrynodes #gamedev
