Woo! I got ray-marched water depth discolouring to work. I'll be including it in Turbulent v2.0 Coming soon to my Gumroad page. #b3d #blender #blender3d #blendercommunity

Couldn't the depth buffer be used instead of raymarching?

That would definitely be handier but the depth buffer is only available in the Compositor and I'd prefer to keep this as shader-based as possible.

😊 It could be so ultimately innovative if the IOR was 1.33 (or anything), not 1.00, somehow. It's perfect here, I don't know how, there must be a clever optimisation trick:

While I haven't introduced direct control of it, there is refraction. As the grazing angle becomes sharper, you can see the discolouring seem to move upwards and slightly out of sync with the ground.

That looks amazing...but is that water drinkable?

Hmm. You may want to filter it first. Then boil it. Then filter it again. Then throw it away and have a beer instead.

Looks awesome!

Thank you.🙏

Do buyers of turbulent v1 get v2 for free or would you have to rebuy? Same thing for pbr layers

Upgrades are free to existing users. Even if I increase the price due to the upgrade, if you already own it, you won't have to pay anything extra.
