We have substantially completed the reconstruction of Tam Balogun Road in Ijebu-Ode, with all major asphalt works now finished under our administration’s ongoing drive to strengthen road infrastructure across Ogun State. The project is currently at about 98% completion, with only lane markings left to be carried out. With both the binder and final wearing courses in place, the road is fully motorable and already improving movement, safety, and travel time for residents and road users. This is one of several strategic road projects we are delivering to ease transportation, support local economic activities, and make daily commuting smoother for our people, as we continue to build a better and more connected Ogun State. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #RoadInfrastructure #DapoAbiodun

The NPP government took a $750m loan from Afrexim Bank to construct about 4 roads including the Nsawam- Ofankor road which constituted about $300m+ but the NPP government after paying $100m to the contractor of the road, the money vanished so this government has to find another cash to continue. Truly the government has paid the contractor and that's why you see work ongoing on the road. The NPP should rather be telling Ghanaians where the rest of the money went and stop the Anase story trying to rebut what President John Mahama said about the road.

This 5.3-kilometre strategic road, which links Iperu to Ilishan and serves as a critical connection to the Gateway International Airport and the Sagamu–Benin Expressway, has progressed beyond earthworks, extensive drainage construction, and stone-base layers. With active asphalt works ongoing, the road is visibly taking its final shape. We note the steady pace of work delivered so far, including completed drainage systems and stabilised base courses that provide a strong foundation for long-term durability. Upon completion, this road will significantly improve mobility, enhance safety, reduce travel time, and stimulate commercial activities for communities along the corridor and airport-bound commuters. With the completion of this road and the Sagamu–Sapade Road, the Gateway International Airport will become one of the most easily accessible airports in Nigeria, seamlessly connected from the North, South, East, and West. UPDATE ON ODE–SAPADE ROAD PHASE 3 PROJECT We are pleased to inform our people that steady progress continues on the reconstruction of the Ode–Sapade Road, which has now entered its final phase under our administration. From our latest assessment, binder-asphalt laying is moving smoothly from chainage 3+600 up to the Sapade Junction on both carriageways. On the other side of the corridor, our engineers are regrading and compacting the stone base in readiness for priming ahead of asphalt placement. We have successfully completed Phases One and Two of the project, covering Sagamu to Iperu, and both sections are already in full use by motorists. Phase Three, which is currently in full execution, includes the dualisation of the existing road, milling of the old asphalt, installation of essential highway furniture, and the wearing-course overlay from chainage 0+00 (Ode Remo) to kilometre 5+500 (Sapade). This phase also covers an additional 200-metre link connecting the Ibadan Expressway to the Sapade–Ode corridor, bringing the entire stretch to a total of 5.5 kilometres. By God’s grace, we remain on course to complete and hand over this entire section before Christmas 2025. UPDATE ON SOKOTO-BADAGRY (LAGOS) ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Work is actively ongoing on the Sokoto–Badagry road project, with visible progress recorded on the Katami axis in Silami Local Government Area, extending toward the Kebbi State border. As part of the continuation of construction activities, contractors are currently placing Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP), marking a significant stage in the delivery of this strategic highway. The ongoing CRCP works demonstrate steady advancement from preparatory stages to permanent pavement construction, reflecting the commitment to delivering a durable and high-quality road that can withstand heavy traffic over time. This section remains busy with construction activities as the project continues to move forward. The Sokoto–Badagry road, when completed, will enhance connectivity, improve safety, and support economic growth by easing the movement of people and goods across states. The contractor handling the Abeokuta-Ota-Lagos Road project has almost completed the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the section between Abeokuta and Papalanto, making the journey along this axis smooth and stress-free. Work is also progressing steadily between Papalanto, Ifo, and Sango, where construction activities are ongoing to deliver a durable and motorable road for the benefit of all. This project, though a federal road, was formally handed over to us after several years of failed interventions, and we took it upon ourselves to ensure it is fixed once and for all. Our administration remains resolute in its commitment to providing quality infrastructure that enhances economic growth, facilitates ease of movement, and improves the daily lives of our people.
