i wonder why those rungs arent L shaped

Been there done that couple times. Gets cold up there.

I put these there in 1999.

He forgot the light bulb

Not till the steps are like that! Those shackles are doing nothing in case he slips and swings! They need to make those atleast L shaped to catch the shackle effectively!

Bullshit. It pays like $25hr.

I'd take the job and have a parachute as part of my safety gear and I would try to line up a new one every week for the next few years and then retire.

no... there is a movie about that

Ay, just send me the contract

The only thing that would make this video better is a slick AI edit slip and fall at the last second 😅 My hands are legit sweaty

Everybody laughed at Gilbert grapes brother, but he was born for this

Nope, I'm good.

140,000.00? what we did that shit for 10 bucks an hour.

Easy. Silence and nobody to bother you.

However, it actually does not pay that! If you get $30/hour, that is considered great for this job, usually it is much less than that!

They make around $70,000 a year.

That job pays better every time I see it posted each week.

99% won’t even have the power to get up there.

90% of world population would be physically unable to climb a 610m scale

Man that would suck if some drunk dude in an airplane smacked into the pole while you're at the top

Besides the fact he’s on the stack, (top) the rest of the tower below the stack has a regular ladder. And a 2000’ tower is an inside climb besides the stack. Some newer ones like one in Houston Texas has a clunky elevator. Canadas limit is 1000’ but no elevator just an inside climb. 300’ towers have the ladder built on the outside. Google some images folks.

@The_Judge_222 I use to do it for 100 dollars a day

610 meters? Is that like 30 or 40 feet?

Hells No!

Absolutely! If it’s humanly possible, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Not to mention $140,000 reasons to focus. Not saying I’d make it- but I sure would try like hell. Besides, what’s the worst that could happen?

Only if I could get a parachute to make my descent quicker!

Yes, but the getting down bit would be harder as on the way up you’re looking up & moving your harness up. I’d want £140000 for the up bit & £1m for the down bit.

I’ve done this 6-7 times in Peetz Colorado back in 2001. Only a 140m met mast though.

Not a chance

In the US, the average hourly wage for a tower climber is about $25, starting around $21 per hour. Overall, the average annual salary is approximately $52,357, while the top earners can make around $70,000 annually.

I started building several hundred foot communication towers in 1996 for $10/hr 🤣 Height doesn’t matter, you fall 40/50/60 feet let alone hundreds of feet, you’re a goner! Them dollars 💵 don’t add up to this industry!

As long as I can parachute down instead of climb down. But then I would have to climb up with the extra weight of the parachute. And that might suck after a while. So I don’t know.

I work with this man. He is not paid per climb. He is paid hourly, and no where near 140k per day. Don't believe everything you see on here.

Too bad he dropped the bulb while screwin it in 😠
