U.S. Special Forces carried out a raid earlier today in the Idlib Governorate of Northwestern Syria, coordinated with both the Turkish and Syrian Governments, which resulted in the elimination of two senior ISIS officials, one of whom is reported to be Abu Hafs al-Hashimi al-Qurashi, who was projected to become the next Caliph of ISIS in Syria. No injuries were sustained by U.S. or Partner Forces during the raid, according to an official with U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

On that note - The USA is silently withdrawing from Syria, something we have announced but did not follow up due to the sensitivity of the matter. ISIS prisoners are being transported to Syria and the USA has to supply its forces stationed outside of their bases with airdrops. The discrepancy between the US military and US government couldn’t be further - the US military does not trust the new Syrian Government to a degree where the USA needs several air assets in the sky whenever a convoy leaves to Iraq; but the US Government throws it’s entire weight behind the STG under Jolani. Raises the question what will happen should things go sideways in Syria - CAS will need forces on the ground.

Biden admin has bombed Syria in response, it says, to attacks on US forces. What Biden or US media won't explain is why US forces are really in Syria -- even though a senior US official has done so very clearly. According to the Pentagon's Dana Stroul, the US military is there so that the US can "own" Syria’s "resource-rich" northeast -- where the oil and wheat is -- to give the US "leverage" over Syria's political future, i.e. regime change. This is why Biden has put US troops in harm's way in Syria, and this is why he's bombing it.
