He’s exactly right. Canadian government & institutions want more control every day. If we don’t resist, they won’t stop until they own you completely.

@barrie_bon30191 Went in to withdraw 5000$ from my bank, the teller wouldn’t process the transaction because I wouldn’t explain why I wanted my money. Took a 20 minute conversation with the manager to withdraw my own money.

I have been blocked many times for my pensions are deposited in TD and two minutes after they go in I withdraw it all from a Central America country . I was just blocked yesterday . Getting emails every month asking why I take my own money out . They now cut my daily withdraw . Unreal they are .

For $3000? SMH. Meanwhile these same banks launder $Millions for shady orgs and cartels.

I think the banks are a little gun shy after TD faced a massive US$3.09 billion settlement in 2024 with U.S. authorities after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act violations.

We need a national strike!! Our government is tyrannical and treasonous!! I no longer recognize the Canadian government’s authority! We need a revolution

The Mark-xist Globalist wants control of your money. They are all connected.

Interesting, we are getting just enough about how Canada are choking with their ongoing tax increase. Life is too expensive here in Canada. Show us the steps...

Am soooo Glad I made the decision to tell my CIBC bank (Simplii Financial - a Subsidudary), to go Fk themselves. Alberta Treasury Branch is where I now do my Banking.!

You can't fully appreciate the ineptitude of Scotiabank until you deal with their financial planners. The mistakes they made with seg fund paperwork has taken me years to unravel. They admit it was their mistake -- a mistake of several hundred thousand dollars -- but have gone MIA, leaving me to clean up the mess.

Because our government wants to implement a digital currency so they don't want excess cash available for an underground trading once they switch. This is why Trump is putting his face & signature on cash. To keep cash alive

@saltyfletch Not a free country anymore

It’s total freedom in the USA. Americans don’t get how lucky they are.

Same as my experience with TD trying to make transfers from/to my own TD USA accounts. Nightmare to deal with. I have been with them for 30+ years since Canada Trust days

They did this to me, and I told them it was for Drugs and Hookers. The reply was "Oh have fun". Fuck those banks.

Yet the TD can launder billions and the USA has to catch them.

@Staycat23098138 They have banned me from dealing with the tellers in our bank because I told them that where I spend my money is none of their business !! And I stood my ground on the point. If I need a bank teller I will pay the service fee at a different bank that isn’t going to grill me.

yeah, Canadians forget that the money they've earned and banked isn't theirs, it's their government's and they'll dole you out a pittance at a time.

@ShareawareCdn Blame he government. They force this upon the financial institutions

and just another thing to add to a long long list of reasons why anyone living in canada needs to GTFO ASAP !

@Observ0123 It’s not the banks damn business to police Canadian bank accounts!

Sounds like.... you this guy needs to keep his money out of Canada. Which I'm sure is the MO for many successful Canadian business owners. Sad, really.

not surprised at all they could also freeze your account indefinitely; keep voting liebturds enjoy the silence

@Nuni_Sas_Yu I would change banks

My son is on ODSP in Ont he used to have a credit card paid it all the time then he went to the bank to find they closed his account because he only gets to a ODSP cheques. So now he’s not privileged enough to have a bank account. Nothing like stripping you of your rights.!!!

@geoffcronk4276 Albertans need to get their money out of the big Canadian banks and into the ATB and Alberta based Credit Unions

Scotiabank is the worst among 5 banks

The last time I was put through this nonsense, I actually asked "Isn't this also wasting your time and costing you money?" and they finally admitted the reason: it's over money laundering. And what that really means: it's the hordes of "newcomers" laundering money causing this.

I always refuse those questions.

@Victoria59L It’s called communism

@f_willy2 It’s because Canada is a hotbed for money laundering. So instead of going after the big guys, we all suffer when the transaction is more than $10k. I had the same experience with my American and Canadian bank transfers. I use RBC which had a US bank merger back in 2009.

@54DonnaMc I've been looking to bank with other non conventional institutions. Especially, since the pandemic when they decided to freeze people's bank accounts.

Wow

Just withdrawing 1000$ cash from your personal bank account results in questioning. The DEMAND to know what you need the money for. Commy Canada.

Close your acount. They do not deserve your business
