Stop saying that Opus 4.6 is better than Opus 4.8. I just tested Claude Opus 4.8 (Right) and Claude Opus 4.6 (Left) on the same exact prompt. Claude Opus 4.8 completed it in less than 2 minutes. Claude Opus 4.6 "Garnished" for over 7 minutes. Stop using Opus 4.6.

Opus 4.8 just dropped and I ran it through our CAD tasks. 4.6 → 4.7 → 4.8 side by side. The results are unexpected!

Kernel CLI has native computer-use commands (i.e. no Playwright). It’s intuitive enough that OpenCode + Opus 4.5 can just drive a browser and read the HN front page. (cc Rhys)

we asked GLM 5.2 and Claude Opus 4.8 to find and fix the bugs in two different scripts while Opus 4.8 finished a few seconds faster in both tests, GLM 5.2 burned roughly 17k–38k fewer tokens and absolutely crushed it on cost, coming in 15x to 22x cheaper! Test 1: GLM 5.2 ($0.068) vs. Opus 4.8 ($1.06) Test 2: GLM 5.2 ($0.045) vs. Opus 4.8 ($1.02)

Grok 4.5 is a "Wow!" moment. 🤯 > Opus 4.8 & GPT-5.5 level on benchmarks > Costs less than Sonnet 5 Is that real? Hard to believe. Added Grok 4.5 as an implementer agent in fable-advisor. It replaces Sonnet 5. Use Fable as the orchestrator and a combo of: 1. Grok 4.5 2. Opus 4.8 3. GPT-5.5 As implementer agents. Uses the Grok Build CLI so if you log in with an X premium account you don't have to pay API fees.

Day 3 of getting back to building my gamified workout tracker. (have some AI features) I just tested both Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.5 for the multilingual feature, and Opus 4.8 is still slightly better. It only needed one prompt to solve it. My apps always supports multiple languages because I target multiple markets and don’t want to depend on just one market. Powered by Opus 4.8, Rork, Cursor

Do we really need Fable? All made using Opus 4.8 with looping, including audio, 3d gun models, lighting, etc.

Hey Claude Opus 4.8 let's build a fully procedural spider in Three.js🕷️ …so we did. Feet-driven IK + a Cruse-rule gait = it walks any terrain. Then we built a 42-scenario test harness and drove the locomotion to 100%.

CLAUDE SONNET 5 vs. CLAUDE OPUS 4.8 RESULTS Prompt: "build a single html landing page about claude sonnet 5, the new AI model that just dropped from Anthropic." Claude Sonnet 5: - Tokens Used: 20.9k input, 14.2k output - Total Cost: $3.36 - Time elapsed: 2m 11s Claude Opus 4.8 Ultracode: - Tokens Used: 96.3k input, 73.8k output - Total cost: $20.66 - Time Elapsed: 20m 15s I ran both of them in UltraCode mode via the CLI. I think in terms of quality of output, Opus won. In terms of model speed and cost, Sonnet 5 won. What are your thoughts? Comment down below who you think won!

We've got Opus 4.8 at home! Running DeepSeek V4 Flash Vision-Exp on 2 x DGX Spark with OMP. This is a mini-benchmark firmware analysis task I've been using to test out different models/harnesses. Opus 4.8 didn't find anything in this firmware that DeepSeek didn't. Thanks Mia

Claude Opus 4.8 in Open Design absolutely cooked. We asked it to recreate a beautiful Three.js hover-card experiment. It captured the interaction, lighting, materials, and complex cube geometry with wild precision. Inspired by Zsolt Kacso original, which was built with Cursor Composer 2.5. Open Design now works with Claude Opus 4.8.

Claude Opus 4.8 beats Opus 4.7, GPT-5.5, and Gemini 3.1 Pro !! We ran a multimodal gaming comparison across these four closed source models. Opus 4.8 took the longest to generate, but it came out ahead, capturing the most elements from the prompt and successfully hitting the rival cars. GPT 5.5 is still good, but Gemini is no longer the best multimodal model now
