Was a heavy drinker for years, and suffered from high anxiety. When I quit, I thought it would get worse but it got better.

How long sober?

Erm. The French, Spanish, Italians all drink wine on a daily basis and live healthier longer lives than most!

Alcoholism is tough, sneaks up on you. Alot of anxiety and other mental issues that stem from the terrible damage alcohol does to your gut. If you need help walking away from the bottle. DM me

I am 2.5 years sober. Most of the anxiety has gone away and my sleep has improved exponentially. Best decision of my life. Good info about what it does to your body and mind are so important. Annie Grace's @ThisNakedMind book lays it all out. Highly recommended. It is a huge rock in my foundation.

That explains a lot. But what can beat a freezing cold beer sometimes?

@hblodget Yeah but it also makes you cool AF

Tell me how UNstressed the non-drinkers are. 🙄

We're sure of the direction of this increase in cortisol? People who are stressed have higher cortisol and then drink more in the attempt to relieve that stress. Without taking baseline cortisol levels before these people started drinking, it isn't possible to know.

100 days sober. 👍🚀

Keep going G
