Your Cirrus jet is not a seaplane 😂✈️

A Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet experienced a taxiway excursion and came to rest in the water of the sea lane at David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport in Texas on Tuesday.

The pilot and two passengers with their two dogs were not injured in the incident. The pilot reported a loss of braking.

Must have been texting and taxiing...

Loss of braking has nothing to do with steering off the taxiway. You can still steer straight ahead if brakes are lost. If I’m going to speculate, I think his head was down trying to program the Garmin.

The Cirrus seems to disagree :)
