Was that your answer? It was mine! And we are both wrong! It turned out to be metastatic melanoma. But the lesson here is that just because you were wrong by pathology, doesn’t mean you were wrong on the imaging If I saw a case like this again, I would still say lymphoma! You won’t be right every time—there will be weird cases. But you are making a bet on the imaging appearance and you should always bet the odds—with the risk that every now and then you might be wrong! So don’t remember from this case that metastases can look like lymphoma—remember that sometimes it’s ok to be wrong as long as you read the case right

But the lesson here is that just because you were wrong by pathology, doesn’t mean you were wrong on the imaging If I saw a case like this again, I would still say lymphoma! You won’t be right every time—there will be weird cases. But you are making a bet on the imaging appearance and you should always bet the odds—with the risk that every now and then you might be wrong! So don’t remember from this case that metastases can look like lymphoma—remember that sometimes it’s ok to be wrong as long as you read the case right

Hills I will die on as an elementary school teacher, who just wrapped up my 32nd year teaching! 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to teach, this profession is not for you. 2. Our students are not “ours”. They are their families, and we need to understand the magnitude of the calling, and responsibility we have to meet them where they are, and to help them to get to a place that they never thought possible. 3. As important as the curriculum is (and it IS important), the children in our classroom are what matter most. It’s our JOB to teach the curriculum to SERVE our students, NOT to use our students to push any sort of agenda. 4. Just as we teach our students to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our students better than they were when they first entered into our classroom. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every child. 5. We should not teach our children WHAT to think, but HOW to think, and how to use that knowledge to bless and serve not only themselves, but the world around them. 6. Our words carry little (or NO value), if we do not practice what we preach. 7. If we don’t make learning fun, children will view learning as a chore, and we we will be creating a generation of children who grow up to be young adults who don’t see the joy in learning new things. 8. The child that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Never tell a child they “can’t” do something. God has blessed each of them with far more strengths and talents than we may know, and it’s not our job to tell them what they can’t do, but to help them to realize all the things they CAN do. 10. The legacy you leave as a teacher will never be determined by your student’s test scores, but by the human beings you helped them become throughout their lives.

(TW). Tomorrow (September 10th) is World Suicide Prevention Day. On the 16th, it will be 7 years since I was admitted to hospital for the first time. I was 16, had just started sixth form, and the years of anxiety and OCD became too much. I didn’t think I had a future. I was wrong. Some things I would like you reading this to know: ⭐️ the future holds an infinite number of possibilities. it might seem terrifying, but so many good memories are waiting to be made. ⭐️ you won’t feel like this forever. our emotions fluctuate. our perspective on situations shift. our thoughts come and go. no matter how long you feel you have been ‘stuck’, there is always hope, as long as you are here. ⭐️ you are not a failure. everyone is on their own timeline in life, with their own end goals. comparing yourself to others doesn’t help, because everyone’s lives are too different to compare and we only see a portion of other people’s lives. ⭐️ you WILL be okay. you can cope with far more than you think you can. ⭐️ i know the pain is hard. if I could take it away in a heartbeat, i would. it won’t be there forever. it might come back for a little while, but it will go away again. just as the sun always rises again after night. ⭐️ future you is grateful you keep fighting and is rooting for you. Everyone explains “As above, so below” incorrectly and that is why they miss its true power. They reduce it to a pleasant formula of manifestation: think positively, visualize what you desire, and the Universe will reproduce it. But this is merely the surface. The true principle is far more profound and far more demanding. “Above” is not the sky, and “below” is not the earth. Above is the archetype: the invisible order, the cause before the event, the intelligence before the form. Below is that same intelligence condensed into the body, matter, relationships, circumstances and time. “As within, so without” does not mean that every passing thought immediately creates your life. It means that whatever remains enthroned within you will eventually seek a body outside of you. A hidden fear becomes a pattern. An unhealed wound becomes a choice. A divided will creates a divided path. An embodied truth becomes presence, magnetism and direction. Through years of ritual work, energetic reading and confronting my own inner worlds, I have learned one undeniable truth: the visible almost never begins in the visible. You may change the person, the city, the altar, the business or the method—but if the unseen architecture remains untouched, the same lesson will return wearing another face. The world is a mirror, but not a shallow mirror. It does not merely reflect what you desire. It reveals what you serve, what you tolerate, what you secretly fear, what you have made sacred and what you are finally ready to transform. The natural world is the Mental made visible. The seed carries its invisible design before becoming a tree. In the same way, every material form is preceded by a subtler order. Ritual is the conscious bridge between these two worlds. The essence was never: control reality with your thoughts. The essence is this: become so internally ordered that your outer life can no longer remain loyal to your former chaos.
