Truly love your jiu-jitsu Professor!

Appreciate it.

He did far better than I did!

🔥🔥🔥

Love this. I don’t train or follow as much as I used to. But always loved the simplicity if Roger and Rickson. Other than spider guard I liked to keep things simple.

No it isn’t 😂

I’ll take word.

I’m too old to make it complicated. 🤷♂️

I have no idea who gave this guy a 4 or6th degree black belt. But there retarded. 😂

True. Most people collect techniques like pokemon cards then freeze under pressure.

The faster the exchange, the less we can remember consciously. I often find it best to have 1-2 clear goals in mind for each scenario.

Nice battle!

My favorite sensei always says that, guy can get an armbar from anything.

Why are BJJ practitioners so eager to sit down? I never saw anything like that in Judo and JJJ randori.

I hear this often. Simple answer is you have more options when your sitting/laying vs standing/kneeling. In Jiu Jitsu/grappling there are only 4 options. Go behind, tip over, pass the legs, or submit. From sitting/lay you’ve got access to 3 options. From standing/kneel vs sit/lay you’re effectively reduced to threatening 1 option (pass the legs) to create any openings for go behind or submission. And you can’t tip over someone who’s already tipped over. Thats my quick answer

You're closing down the number of options for attack as well as defense, and sometimes attack is the best defense.

@drewlock You have way more options to attack from the bottom

@drewlock Only if your opponent maneuvers him/herself into a specific position. As a judoka I would simply stand and laugh at you.

They are both bad. TBH. Just sayin.
