Thinking of different ways to poison the RF field in order to create "privacy waves" or some other form of interference that is non-disruptive to FCC legal devices, while wrecking any legitimate ESP32 tracking. I'm also working on the opposite of that, would love a cohort in either side.

I do not know if this applies to wifi frequencies but taking your antenna off while it is running (changing the impedance seen by the Tx) would essentially damage the Tx.

Cool. I have set up a bunch of sensors and microcontrollers using espnow which is a great layer 2, low power protocol, but terrible for going through obstacles. How expensive is the HaLow card?

they are diirt cheap, there is a xiao hat that bring halow to the pi for like $10. The MCU implementation is still far keds mature than full fledge linux/openwrt but it’s doable. I have an mcu/halow example up on my github streaming rtsp video from an fpv ciao hat with said halow hat. For low data frames tho Id consider lora same penetration but better range.
