@wesley_bytegrad Well I did it, I needed an api for my app, but via nextjs + vercel it was impossible to do, I even tried self hosting the entire app on railway just to be able to use the api for ffmpeg for export from my compose feature for avocado storyboard. Motia is the answer

@wesley_bytegrad Wesley - is there a way to get onto your discord from your website? I don't think I received one when I registered for your course and I cannot find one.

@wesley_bytegrad Excellent! This is one of the first posts I’ve seen on X talking about backend-for-frontend. It’s the architecture I used for my Dopamine stack. I wrote an article on the topic with code examples, in case it helps anyone

@wesley_bytegrad If you need a separate backend, why not skip NextJS altogether and stick to traditional single server-client? This is not good advice for 99% of people building small apps out there.

@wesley_bytegrad So funny people nowadays need a specific tutorial to know that their frontend app should actually use a separate backend.

@wesley_bytegrad I am running a full e-commerce platform where backend is Laravel & frontend is Nextjs, they’re seamlessly integrated and performing just right.
