Posture matters Hold your angles throughout the swing: ✅Butt behind your heels ✅Chest over the plate Get INTO good posture and STAY THERE as you rotate. Your posture helps determine how your barrel works. Stay in posture → barrel can stay through the hitting zone. Come out of posture → barrel comes out of the hitting zone. It isn't about rotating as fast as possible. It’s how fast can you rotate while maintaining great posture and staying over the plate. Turn fast. Hold your angles. Keep the barrel working through the zone.

Luis Arráez has some of the best bat to ball skills in the game. Here is a look at how he makes pitch height adjustments. The higher the pitch, the flatter the shoulders and barrel. The lower the pitch, the more he stays over the plate with his torso. If you struggle with the low pitch, think about “sticking your nose on it”.

An Oldie but a Goldie. Approach ➜ Power V One of the biggest keys to a consistent swing is what happens from approach to Power V. As the knob turns toward the pitcher and into the path of the pitch, the barrel naturally falls behind your hands. We don’t need to flick it back to have it fall behind..DUH From there, don’t throw the barrel at the ball. Release it in the most direct line along the path of the pitch. Some pitches require a slightly steeper path. Others require a flatter one. But the goal stays the same: ✔️ Keep the barrel below your hands through extension. Approach = The barrel works to the side of the shoulder as the body turns toward the pitcher. Power V = The release of the lag and extension of the barrel through the baseball. Master that section of the swing, and you’ll give yourself a much better chance to create consistent contact, adjust to different pitch planes, and produce real power. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

Each hitter naturally has a bat path that is unique to them. Some are flatter, while others are more vertical. A flatter path will usually handle pitches that are higher in the zone or farther away better, while a more vertical path will typically handle pitches that are lower in the zone or farther inside better. Hitters can train beyond their natural path tendencies by learning how to adjust their body and barrel to handle pitches in different locations. This has to be trained. You can’t just tell hitters to cover the entire zone and expect it to show up in games. Hitters need reps learning how to move their body differently to handle different locations. Higher / Away = Flatter Path Lower / In = More Vertical Path

This is what elite extension looks like. 🔥 Power hitters stay through the softball with extension, direction, and complete energy transfer through contact. Watch how long these hitters keep the barrel through the zone. #Softball #SoftballHitting #Hitting

🔥 Drive your hips up and feel your glutes take over. Strong glutes support your lower back, improve posture, and restore hip mobility through controlled extension.

Winter work! Baseball - don’t wrap your barrel, get to 0 plane, hit your slot, stay behind the baseball, go through 3-6-9 with your barrel….. results!! Football - sequence while throwing, get your foot in the ground, rotate while keeping front side firm…..results!!

If I only had 10 minutes for mobility, I'd start here. A lot of people approach mobility by looking for the tightest part of their body and trying to stretch it. I've found it works better when you look at movement as a whole. Your hips influence your spine. Your spine influences your shoulders. Your ability to rotate, bend, squat and reach all work together. This flow moves through the hips, adductors, spine and hamstrings while building awareness and control through a variety of positions. 1) Side Lunge Hip + Side Body Flow Open the inner thigh and create length through the side body.

A powerful hook doesn’t just come from arm strength, it starts from the feet, transfers through the hips, and explodes through rotational power. 💥🥊 If you want to build maximum power, rotational velocity, and precision in your hooks, try adding these 3 key drills to your training split: ● Kettlebell Rotational Swings Purpose: Develops explosive core rotation and hip drive required to transfer ground force directly into your punch. Focus:Pivot your back foot and drive through your hips, keeping your core tight and under control. ● Heavy Aqua Bag Work Purpose: Builds impact resistance and allows you to practice transferring maximum power at the point of contact. Focus:Maintain a solid wrist position, stay balanced, and snap the shot through the bag instead of pushing it. ●Resistance Band Hook Rotations Purpose:Builds speed-strength and conditions the kinetic chain under constant tension. Focus: Keep the elbow at a 90-degree angle, engage your lat, and drive through the full rotational path against resistance. Pro Tip: Always prioritize form and hip alignment over heavy weight to protect your lower back and shoulders. ■Save this post & practice these in your next session!**

Your posture may have less to do with “standing straighter” than with how freely your shoulders can move. These movements challenge shoulder rotation and scapular control through different ranges. The key is not forcing the deepest position. It’s building comfortable control across more range. More mobility + more control = more movement options

To find the inner light, you must descend into the deepest darkness and confront the demons that guard your hidden self. That journey is inward, through the labyrinth of your own shadow, and only by passing through it does the soul awaken. The path out is the path through, the alchemical fire that transforms the seeker into what they were always meant to become.
