I was 16, had just started sixth form, and the years of anxiety and OCD became too much. I didn’t think I had a future. I was wrong. Throwback to my Karmagawa birthday fundraiser that succeeded in rescuing 2 elephants, Boon Lom and Som Pond, who had both been abused in terribly cruel and unethical riding camps for over 3 decades — these magnificent animals had been beaten, starved and even had their babies stolen from them…just an all-around terrible existence that should embarrass us all as human beings so it was my honor to partner with so many great people/organizations like Elephant Nature Park and Planting Peace to coordinate here and give them the life they deserve! See my Instagram post here to see all 20 photos/videos to see how their lives have changed as they’re both now resting comfortably at ENP with Boon Lom able to stretch her legs for once and Som Pond eating freely while making friends with other rescued elephants!
