I thank everyone who remembers PURL—program that allows us to purchase American interceptors for Patriots. We understand risks created by Iranian strikes and the resulting need for air defense in the Middle East. It is important the protection of life is ensured in Ukraine too.

ZELENSKYY ON IRAN: The situation in the Middle East shows how difficult it is to provide 100% protection against missiles and "Shahed" drones. Everyone can now see that our experience in defense is, in many respects, irreplaceable. We are ready to share this experience and help those nations that helped Ukraine this winter and throughout this war. We are now closely monitoring every change in the situation around Iran. The Iranian people have long effectively been alone against violence — against the Iranian regime. This regime, which has killed tens of thousands of its own citizens just in recent months, which has always fueled and organized wars in the region, which provided Russia with "Shaheds" and the technology for their production — this regime has brought this attitude upon itself.

Zelenskyy: Partners told us the Patriot missile shortage came from the Middle East war. The U.S. and Europe used to fill our Patriots and other air-defense systems. Maybe that is not the only reason. Maybe some also want Ukraine to be more accommodating. 1/

PETRAEUS: When Gulf states had challenges in countering Shahed drones, who did they call? Kyiv. Why is that? Because Kyiv demonstrated best ability in the world to conduct counter-drone operations. It was masterstroke, genius move by Zelenskyy to go to the Middle East when these countries were under attack, just as Ukraine is every night, and bring expertise and drone interceptors to help these countries defend themselves. Defend against the same kind of drones that were given to Russia and that have caused so much damage to Ukraine. So, this move provides the whole world with validation of what Ukraine has achieved.

We are engaging with countries in the Middle East and the Gulf, which now show a strong interest in Ukraine’s experience in defending against drones. We already see that not only “shaheds” are being used in the region, but there is also growing evidence of the use of FPV drones. This is modern warfare, and everyone must be prepared for it. Ukraine has this expertise, and in exchange for our support we need help in areas where we face greater challenges. This includes protection against ballistic threats and financial resources for defense. Ukraine offers a mutually beneficial partnership: we can strengthen those who can strengthen us. The situation in the world now is such that only coordinated and joint actions can guarantee real results and genuine security. We are being blocked in Europe, and as long as this risk remains, we must seek out additional opportunities to strengthen ourselves. The Middle East and the Gulf are the right direction and serious opportunities to make Ukraine stronger.

❗️Ukraine is ready to share experience, but not scarce weapons — Zelenskyy on cooperation with Middle Eastern countries "If the leaders of the Middle East manage to reach an agreement with Putin — they have good economic relations, at least economic ones — and negotiate a ceasefire with them, then those guys who are currently defending our skies could go and defend or teach how to defend against Iranian attacks. But if missiles are flying at us, well, with all due respect, we are here and we will defend our state." The President suggested a potentially mutually beneficial exchange: if partners provide Ukraine with missiles for Patriot systems (PAC-3), Kyiv could transfer interceptors to them for combating drones.

US President Trump on why there are US troops in Syria: Because we're trying to make sure that there's going to be and remain peace in the Middle East, and Syria is a big part of it. The new leader is a strong person, and that's what you need. We got rid of Assad, we got rid of other people that were really bad people, and that we're in the way of peace in the Middle East. You know, we have legitimate peace in the Middle East, for the first time in 3,000 years.
