نظمت وزارة الداخلية، ممثلة بالإدارة العامة للشرطة الجنائية الاتحادية، ورشة عمل متخصصة في إمارة عجمان حول مكافحة جرائم الاحتيال الإلكتروني، بمشاركة عدد من كبار الضباط والقادة، وممثلي القيادات العامة للشرطة في الدولة، والإدارات المعنية بالوزارة، وذلك في إطار تعزيز الجهود الوطنية للتصدي لهذا النوع من الجرائم، وشهدت الورشة مناقشة الخطط الإستراتيجية الوطنية لمكافحة جرائم الاحتيال الإلكتروني بمختلف أشكالها، واستعراض آليات حوكمة جهود مكافحتها. The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Department of Federal Criminal Police, organized a specialized workshop in the Emirate of Ajman on combating cyber fraud crimes. The workshop brought together a number of senior officers, police leaders, representatives from the country’s General Police Headquarters, and officials from the Ministry’s relevant departments. IMCTC launched its military training program in the Republic of The Gambia, as part of the strategic initiative in the Military Domain “Competence,” in the presence of The Gambian Minister of Defense, HE, Mr. Baboucarr Ousmalia Joof, IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi along with a number of civilian and military officials. The program aims to train specialized counterterrorism personnel, with 25 trainees from the Ministry of Defense and 25 from the Ministry of Interior participating in a three-week course, which includes theoretical instruction, practical application, and live-fire field exercises.

The program convened leading partners and experts from across the UAE to strengthen coordination, enhance operational readiness, and advance the use of satellite data in disaster response efforts. This initiative comes as the Agency assumes the presidency of the International Charter for Space and Major Disasters for a six-month term, and is delivered in collaboration with its national partners: the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, and Space42.

After more than 25 years of dedicated service, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the retirement of Deputy Brian Harris and K9 Ava. During his career, Deputy Harris served across many divisions within our office, including Detention, House Arrest, the Training Division, and Patrol, as well as 14 years with the WCSO K9 Unit. In that time, he helped develop and guide the program through his leadership, experience, and commitment to preparing both deputies and K9 teams for the demands of the job. K9 Ava faithfully served alongside Deputy Harris for six years, helping ensure the safety of our deputies, partner agencies, and the community. BREAKING: K9 takes down the suspect who led police on a wild chase for over an hour across Southern California. Police began pursuit of the stolen white truck on the 10 freeway in Fontana before chasing the subject all the way to Compton in Los Angeles. Police were able to stop the stolen truck safely and apprehended the suspect with the assistance of a K9 officer.

#ISPR Rawalpindi, 19 January, 2026 Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, #COAS & CDF visited the National Police Academy, Islamabad, where he interacted with officers of the Police Service of #Pakistan. The Federal Minister for Interior, along with the Minister of State for Interior were also present during the visit. Upon arrival, the Field Marshal was warmly received by the Commandant National Police Academy and was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out police contingent. The Field Marshal laid a wreath at the Police Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha, paying solemn tribute to the Shuhada of the Police who laid down their lives in the line of duty while safeguarding peace, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring public safety across the country. He acknowledged the supreme sacrifices rendered by police personnel in the face of terrorism, crime and internal security challenges. During the visit, the Field Marshal was briefed on the School for High-Impact Elite Law Enforcement Development (SHIELD), as well as training programs and initiatives aimed at capacity building and modernization of the police. He also interacted with Cadet Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), where he highlighted the pivotal role of the police as the first line of defence in safeguarding the lives, property, and honour of citizens. While addressing Inspectors General of Police (IGPs), Additional IGPs, and senior police officials, he underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation, modern policing practices and fostering public trust in law enforcement agencies. He emphasized that a strong, professional, and people-centric police force is indispensable for ensuring internal security and the rule of law.
