We are focusing on developing blue and green infrastructure across Kalaburagi city to make it more sustainable and environmentally balanced. As part of this initiative, we will be redeveloping more than 10 public parks across different localities, transforming them into vibrant community spaces with better landscaping, water conservation features, walking tracks, children’s play areas and urban biodiversity zones. Our goal is to create a network of open spaces that not only enhance the city’s beauty but also improve its air quality, groundwater recharge, and overall urban resilience. Today I had the honor of commissioning the newly rehabilitated tower lights in Cowdray Park, an initiative made possible by the Mthuli Ncube Foundation. I was joined by the Deputy Mayor of Bulawayo, Councillor Edwin Ndlovu, and Ward 28 Councillor Ntandoyenkosi Ndlovu. For too long, darkness in our community has meant limited economic activity and compromised safety, especially for women, children, and workers returning home late. Restoring these lights is therefore more than just infrastructure. It is about restoring dignity, enabling opportunity, and creating safer spaces for families to live and thrive. I remain committed to standing with the people of Cowdray Park to ensure a smart city as promised. Through the Foundation, we are also assisting in the construction and capacitation of a police station to help combat crime in the area. As we push forward toward Vision 2030 under the leadership of President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, we will continue to support practical interventions that directly improve the lives of our citizens.

What began in 2018 with the inauguration of a cement plant in Salboni has now blossomed into a multi-dimensional collaboration, driving economic growth across key sectors. Today, in the august presence of Shri Sajjan Jindal, I had the honour of laying the foundation stone of a 1,600 MW thermal power plant at Salboni, developed with an investment of ₹16,000 crore. This landmark project is expected to create 15,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. We also laid the foundation stone of the JSW Industrial Park, spread across 2,000 acres, which will generate thousands of jobs. I'm proud to share that our Ma, Mati, Manush Sarkaar, from its own resources, spent ₹3,700 crore in the power sector of Medinipur alone. Together, we are building the future of Bengal. And with every passing day, that future shines even brighter.
