Students are the backbone of any nation. They carry its future skills, values, leadership, and capacity to solve problems. In a country like India—with a huge young population and persistent poverty—this is not a slogan. It is a practical requirement. Yet millions of students still lack consistent support, decent facilities, and understanding of the pressures they face. Why students matter so much A nation’s strength is not only its factories or GDP figures. It is the quality of the people who will run those factories, hospitals, farms, courts, and governments in 15–20 years. Education turns raw potential into that human capital. When students from poor families get a real chance to learn, poverty cycles can break. When they do not, talent is wasted and inequality hardens.
