Blizzard Just ENDED Private Servers (at least for 2026..) a federal court just shut down Turtle WoW permanently. blizzard filed a copyright lawsuit, won on all seven counts, and the cease and desist order bans them from ever making a successor.. is it just blizzard protecting their IP? or cynically..a money grab to get more subs before classic+? Either way, this is the strongest legal action Blizzard has EVER taken against a private server.. it sends a clear message, if you're playing on a private server in 2026, your character could vanish overnight. at least for now, the only reliable place to play Classic WoW is on the official servers What do you think, did Blizzard go too far? or is this exactly what needed to happen?

Bitcoin does not run on one company’s servers, Bitcoin runs on a distributed network of nodes spread across the world, which is exactly why it is hard to censor, shut down, or control, plus the mining system on top of it to protect it with energy. When someone frames Bitcoin like a centralized system, they are not critiquing Bitcoin as it is. They are critiquing a version of Bitcoin that exists only in their own confusion.

Visited the Garden Pumping Station which was shut down for many years & vested interests used it as a hydrant. Alhamdolillah in order to ensure better water supply to Garden, Ranchore Line, Ghanchi Para & surrounding areas, this pumping station has been revived. Blizzard is blowing a big opportunity in between TBC and retail phases, this would be the absolute best time to launch a FRESH season of discovery fresh server. (SOD FRESH SERVERS) Accelerated timelines..super fun..basically a private server..why not? (itd be seasonal) But instead of doing that, they’re just leaving us to wait for Classic+ for 8 months Why not just put out a sod 2.0 server for a few months for fun? It’d be popular surely..or maybe not? What do you guys think?

I don’t know that the state could have snuffed it out, but they would have tried much harder. WOW. Minnesota's state-run Housing Stabilization Services program has been SHUT DOWN due to the massive amount of fraud that left the program BANKRUPT. "It was estimated in 2020 that it would cost only about $2.5 million a year to fund this program, but it ended up costing almost 50 times that much. Over $104 MILLION by 2024 due to fraud." Wow, this has got to be one of the most 'saying the quiet part out loud' statements since the start of the Ukraine war. Boris Johnson: 'Mate, let's face it... We're waging a proxy war! We're waging a proxy war but we're not giving our proxies the ability to do the job. And for years and years we've been allowing them to fight with one hand tied behind their backs and it has been cruel. It has been cruel and moral...' He obviously meant to say 'morally wrong' there at the end... I still remember the time when suggesting - as John Mearsheimer or Jeffrey Sachs (or, more humbly, myself) have done since the beginning - that this was a proxy war of the West against Russia was considered 'Russian propaganda'... Johnson is saying the West has been cruel to Ukrainians. Which is absolutely correct, but not because we've only 'been allowing them to fight with one hand tied behind their backs' as he suggests, but for the very fact we've used them as proxies in a war that could a) have been prevented or, save that, b) could have been shut down early on. All resulting in hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian casualties. The only 'pro-Ukraine' position has always been and will always be that of those - like Mearsheimer or Sachs - who've always called out Western instrumentalization of Ukraine. That's what's always been cruel and morally wrong, and Johnson has a lot to answer for in this regard.
