Just over a year ago, in April 2023, the Ethiopian government falsely claimed that it was dismantling all regional forces and went on to dismantle the Amhara Regional Forces while keeping other regional forces intact. When the Amhara people rose up in mass to protest this decision, the Oromo fascist led Federal government deployed the Ethiopian army and Oromo Special Forces to the Amhara region and waged a genocidal war on the Amhara people that has continued to this day. After facing multiple humiliating defeats at the hands of Fano for a over a year, the fascist Abiy Ahmed Ali 🇪🇹 regime is now deploying thousands of newly conscripted federal forces and the Oromo Special Forces to the Amhara region for what it claims is a "final" offensive before the 10 months old state of emergency and complete communication blockade it has imposed on the Amhara region comes to an end next week.
