Jaylen Brown says he used the NBA Players Association instead of hiring an agent for the NBA Draft because they're paid to help players โ€œWhen I entered the draft, I didn't have an agent. I'm probably the highest picked selected ever that didn't enter with an agent. When I was evaluating, I went through the whole process and sat with a bunch of people, and what they was offering I ain't really need. It was kind of already slotted, so I leaned on the union a lot moreโ€ โ€œA lot of the agents came and was like, โ€˜Yeah, we'll move you to L.A. We'll get you a trainer, put some money in your pocket,โ€™ and I was like, โ€˜For what? Do I gotta give the money back?โ€™ They was like, โ€˜Nah, but standard agent fee is 4%.โ€™ I'm starting to do the math, and a house, car, and all that, whatever he was offering, is a lot less than what 4% would have beenโ€ โ€œLong story short, the math wasn't mathing for me. I ended up being the third pick. I think because I came in like that, a lot of people, I think it was the agents, they tried to slander my name a little bit, put it in the media that he's too this, he's too that. Ended up backfiring. It all worked out in the endโ€ โ€œWith the union, we pay dues. All the players in the NBA pay dues. We all pay like $10,000 out of our salary that goes to hiring lawyers, hiring staff, CEO, everything that you need to lead a company that works for us. So all of that is our resources that we all pay for, that we agree to. Once I learned that, I just started using itโ€ โ€œI'm talking about you can get private investigations done. They give referrals for financial advisors. All type of stuff. Foundation wise, health insurance, whatever you need. They have a liaison that's paid to make sure that you get it done. So I put it on their desk like, โ€˜I need you to get this done.โ€™ And they do because that's their jobโ€

Short Post: #SEBI report on trading losses in India Why is everyone trying to educate traders when 10% of them still make money? Consider this: 14 lac apply for Civil services exam in India for 800 seats, success rate of 0.05%. We see lacs of students wasting precious years in their 20s doing nothing but - prepare for #IAS . Why does the Nation celebrate such youth whoโ€™re chasing govt. jobs. Success rate for such jobs is 0.5% at best. What a waste of productive years. Who educates them? However, when it comes to the youth who is trading in F&O in stocks, the success rate is 10%. This is a good enough probability. If the trader can learn better skills, the success could improve to 30% plus. Why does the nation look at them with contempt ? In a nation with limited avenues, these young ones are chasing every opportunity they get. And unlike others, this one doesnโ€™t need degrees. Whoโ€™s the bigger gambler here? Who needs more regulation - those โ€œaspiringโ€ for Sarkari jobs OR the self-employed youth who trades on the side with their savings? Letโ€™s try to look at the market traders with some respect. They just need a fair playing field. They donโ€™t need throttling regulation which usually kills the small guy. Many interpret #SEBI report to indicate that these traders are ignorant and they need โ€œeducationโ€. The truth may be entirely the opposite. A trader is fine losing 1 lac annually as it still allows him to dream of a bigger pay day when stars collude in his favour. On the other hand, Rs 1 lac when invested grows too slow for his dreams. He knows the trade-offs. Letโ€™s stop assuming that these traders are ignorant. Finally, the action on #JaneStreetGroup was easy to predict. Most will clap this as a masterstroke. But the problem in India is a shallow, one sided cash market driven by flows & the most frothy F&O market globally, largely due to poor design. You still canโ€™t effectively short sell in India while the stocks rise to astronomical levels. Jane street could have lost big time had there been enough cash buyers or the options market was better designed. Or if short selling was permitted with full efficiency. The solution was to encourage many such bigger foreign players to create a balance and depth of trades on both sides. Also let the domestic funds play with more freedom. But thatโ€™s a solution for free markets. In a market where good regulation means more regulation, a further tightening is the only expected outcome. And thatโ€™s what we got. The value of traders in Bank Nifty options to cash market was 400:1. This is too much skew that needed regulatory design fix, within the free market principles. SEBI has done the opposite โ€“ ban the foreign player. The market now is less free & more skewed. All the basic flaws still persist. The bigger fish will still have the larger profit pool in trading , just they will all be the domestic players now. Thatโ€™s not a surprise. The small trader will still be on the losing side. And more will jump in to โ€œeducateโ€ them about the virtues of long term investing. In a long only market with an ever shrinking pool of sellers, what could go wrong? #Nifty #Nifty50 #BankNifty #India

Every company wants to get better at making money. However, collecting cash is often as hard as selling product in the first place. We lived this problem first hand working in freight, SaaS and media. All the tools we tried had horrible customer success and long implementation times. Thereโ€™s a void in what should be an ecosystem of automation. Last year we set out to build the best engineering company in the world to automate accounts receivable work. The blue-collar businesses who power the world need help collecting the money they earn in industries like manufacturing, medical devices, logistics, and distribution. We are incredibly focused every day on earning the right to fight for these too-often-ignored customers. When we met the team at a16z this summer, they felt like an extension of our team: Seema Amble, Joe Schmidt IV, and Brian Roberts immediately saw the problem and the vision we had for our business. They understood how we deliver value and help businesses thrive. We almost missed our flight back to NYC from SF finalizing the deal, and in a quick turn of events weโ€™re now opening an office in SF. Today, weโ€™re excited to announce that our company Stuut has raised a $29.5M Series A round led by a16z with participation from Activant Capital Khosla Ventures, 1984 Ventures, veseyventures,Valley Bank, pageonevc, Carya Ventures With this funding, we will double down on delivering value where our customers need it in the quickest time possible. We will also stay focused on winning and delivering on the outcomes we can control. The most impactful thing we can do is see our customers get promoted and their businesses scale faster.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Mikel Arteta has to make changes for Crystal Palace. ๐Ÿ”„ โ€œDecember is the month where players get injured more than ever. If thereโ€™s one thing Mikel Arteta struggles with. It's rotation and Arsenal are paying the price for it right now. โ€œBenjamin White playing three games in a row straight off a long-term injury. That's pretty unnecessary. Gabriel playing a friendly when he reportedly wasn't 100%, that was questionable as well. โ€œSituation with Benjamin White, he's now out, Gabriel out, soon to return. Saliba not fully fit, even Mikel said that himself. He had to rush him back. That was a risk, which breeds more injuries. It's a vicious cycle. โ€œHincapie had an injury the other day against Everton, where Calafiori sort of like went into him and he even had to have like a look like a like a deep heat or something on on him like a bit of pain relief. โ€œSo he's probably not even look hundred percent. No one seemed to pull that up at the end of the match, but he didn't look like he was moving that comfortably. He did complete the 90 minutes. Of course, Mosquera. Another one who's not available. I feel like at the moment with Arsenal there's one position just gets absolutely pummeled. So at the moment, it's the defence. At the start of the season, it was all the strikers. So now we're packed up front, we're ruined in defence. So there's not many options. โ€œI read an article the other day where it said, December is the month where players they get injured more than ever because there's so many games, the load is so high, it's just it's just too much. โ€œI mean, even Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, the most durable player in football pretty much, and he got injured from a hamstring the other night. It just goes to show what this period's like for the players. โ€œSo I think Mikel has a duty to look after the players, they just had a week off. It's the first week they've had off in since like international break and it's not going to change until February, so it's not going to stop. โ€œMikel has a duty to look after these players and make sure this doesn't derail our season. Arsenal haven't won the Carabao Cup since 1993, before I was even born. I've never seen us win it. I've always wanted us to win it, but I'm not going to get upset if we don't win it. I think Mikel's under a lot of pressure this season to bring home silverware but if it's not the Premier League or Champions League, it's going to be the same result. โ€œI think this match is a match for rotation. I think it's a match for Noni Maduweke, Ethan Wainieri. Marli Salmon, even Josh Nichols at right-back. Timber needs a rest. Saliba probably needs a rest. Hincapie may need a rest, given the extent of his injury. I think the players are on the limit at the moment. โ€œI think we're very close to being beyond the limit for Arsenal. We're in a very good position, thanks to Mikel and the players and the staff, everything right now. But let's not ruin that over a Carabao Cup. โ€œWe need to win a trophy, but a Carabao Cup isn't going to relieve the pressure on Mikel Arteta, I'm afraid. It's just not. You know what's coming if he wins it. Oh, he's not won the Champions League. He's not won the Premier League. Doesn't matter. โ€œObviously, it would be delightful to win. a trophy, like even when he won the FA Cup, he has won a trophy for Arsenal, major trophy, but that was a long time ago, and this season's the season in my opinion. โ€œHe needs to prioritise what matters for him. Here's a starting 11 I'd go with. Got Josh Nichols in there, Marli Salmon. I know Josh and that have been actually training with the first team ahead of this match, so. I wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of him in the squad. โ€œYou never know, he might start. Knowing Arteta though, he probably won't start, but I'd like to see him start. What's your opinion on it? Should Arteta rotate massively?โ€œ

Introducingโ€ฆ ๐ŸพThe Forgotten Field Project๐Ÿพ What began as a simple errand to the dollar store last week, became a desperate situation Priya Gandolfโ€™s Legacy Cat Rescue could not walk away from. Movement in the field next door caught Priyaโ€™s eye. Six abandoned 4 wk old kittens without their mother. A baby mother herself, barely six months old, with eyes clearly indicating illness, trying to care for 4 tiny two-week-old kittens. Her head sticking out of a makeshift shelter, eyes festering and a pleading look for help. She showed no fear, perhaps too unwell to run, or too weak. Cats running everywhere. Some terribly thin. Some appeared sick. Many with goopy, infected eyes. And a couple appear possibly pregnant. There are obvious signs that someone, at some point, had tried to helpโ€ฆ Old makeshift shelters. Empty food dishes long dried up by the sun. But now theyโ€™re left alone, sick, hungry and a couple appear possibly pregnant. Priya hurried to get food and water, and they ate and drank with wild desperate hunger and thirst. This is not just a handful of cats. This is an unmanaged colony of approximately 30 fur babies living beside a dollar store, in an empty lot thick with brambles. Unsafe from road traffic, a busy parking lot, predators who roam the area. Trapped in the cruel cycle of kittens having kittens. Itโ€™s not a โ€œlovely spot out in the woodsโ€. We have managed many colonies over the years, and coming upon this tragedy never, ever! gets easy. And it never comes at a time when itโ€™s financially or spatially feasible to help them. Because in rescue, perfect timing hardly ever exists. And wasting time and your breath harping about the neglect and cold hearted actions of humansโ€ฆis well, just that. You just doโ€ฆbecause turning your back would only be more of what has already been done to them! And they deserve Help. Food. Vet care. Relief. Love. Home. A Safe Soft place to land. So starting now and over this summer, with your help, we are taking this colony on as a full Rescue and TNR project. The Forgotten Field Project will focus on: โ€ข Regularly feeding every cat โ€ข Rescuing the adoptable ones/finding homes โ€ข Vet care/Treating all the sick and injured ones first! โ€ข TNRโ€™ing the feral cats. Hopefully relocating them perhaps into a barn cat program, as releasing them back to this location is not the ideal place for them to be. And/or hopefully, finding homes that are willing to house and work with the feral ones. Some are just more โ€œferalโ€ than others and can be rehabilitated. Honestly, when the fear is handled, so is the โ€œferalโ€ in so many cases. They need a chance to discover what love is! โ€ข And most importantlyโ€ฆ fixing all of them to STOP this heartbreaking vicious cycle of suffering and reproduction. This will not happen overnight. Itโ€™s a huge undertaking.๐Ÿฆพ It will take food, vetting, medication, spay/neuter appointments, recovery space, patience, and an enormous amount of community support. But we cannot turn our backs now that weโ€™ve seen them, we must do. โฃ๏ธThe six abandoned 4 wk old kittens are already safe with us and, thanks to your help, have their first vet visits on Wednesday, 5/20. Safe and loved, their lives are changed forever. Next upโ€ฆ ๐Ÿšจ Immediate priority is to get the Momma with the goopy eyes and her 4 little kittens out. Though it appears it might be just infected eyes, itโ€™s imperative that we get her out now, to get vet care. Sheโ€™s nursing 4 babies, and she needs proper care, nutrition and a proper place to nurse and raise her babies. A mosquito laden, picker weed field, filled with fleas and ticks, in the soon to be sweltering Georgia heat is not that place! Hopefully, $200-$300 might prove to be sufficient for her vet bill, but there will be food to consider. And as the kittens grow, they will need their vetting as well. We expect that this could be at least an ~ $8000 project. Possibly more, depending on illness discovered. But weโ€™ll start with one foot in front of the other. And continue. One cat at a time. One full belly at a time. One life changed at a time. If you can help us help them, we would be endlessly grateful. And THEY will be grateful to know that someone has finally come along who cares about them. Sentient beings know what love is...even if they exist in fear. Love lives hereโ€ฆ even in forgotten fields.๐Ÿซ‚ There is more in my reply that is informative.

JUST ONE DAY after the tragic National Guardsmen shooting, RADICAL GROUPS in Dearborn, Michigan, is already calling for a REVOLUTION in AMERICA. If you live in America and are NOT here to contribute in a positive way and live in harmony with Western civilization, you need to GTFO. We have enough problems here as it is and do NOT need a whole new group of people, with a whole new group of problems who want to change America into where they just fled from. You must understand that this entire situation, to flood the U.S. and other countries were entirely engineered to destroy and take over multiple countries. Look at the U.K... Completely occupied and no 2A. The U.S. will fall if we don't end thIs NOW. There are also multiple players, groups, agencies, organizations, etc., who are all involved, and George Soros is one of them who has helped millions of refugees enter countries to collapse their societies, even mastercard teamed up with Soros who has spent BILLIONS aiding migrants into America and Europe. George Soros is linked through the World Relief organization and the Evangelical Churches through USAID and other NGOs like his Open Society Foundation. The National Guardsmen shooter was brought in by the Biden administration and settled from Afghanistan to Washington State by an NGO linked through Soros. Since he did have intelligence ties to the CIA, there is no confirmation yet that this was an inside job or could have been connected to radicalism. Either way, it doesn't matter. Because if he wasn't here, this would have never happened. The terror attacks on the guardsmen yesterday are a perfect example of the outcome of what aiding these foreigners who do NOT mix with Western values, ideas, and ways of life. They want to take over and destroy us because their religion says so. There is nothing wrong with good people from foreign countries going through the proper procedures to become a U.S. citizen and contribute in a positive manner and aren't here to murder, rape, steal, or start revolutions. We have enough to worry about within our own country and our own people, and we don't need others who don't want to adapt to Western civilization. They want to destroy it. Ladies and gentlemen, it is time to call your representatives and demand that they send ALL of them back before it's too late.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT ๐Ÿšจ EXPOSED: Marc Elias, the same guy who pushed Steele Dossier, Trump Russian collusion hoax for Hillary Clinton IS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROJECT 2025 PROPAGANDA Democrats are using false made up citations to spread lies about topics not even in Project 2025, โ€œThere is an almost 50 page document put together by an organization called Democracy Forwardโ€ Democrats are saying to fabricate these lies โ€œThey're using project 2025 as their hit piece. What's funny is the last time they tried to do this, it took years to unravel who is responsible for it in 2016. Now it only took me a few hours. I hope you can help me spread this โ€Œ This is important. They're lying and gaslighting you and the American people because they know they're gonna lose the election. Do you remember back in 2016 when Hillary Clinton pushed out the Steele dossier, the Trump Russian collusion hoax? Do you remember who was behind that? An organization called Perkins Coie, who was led by a guy by the name of Marc Elias. โ€Œ Marc Elias is one of the most scandalous, disgusting, rotten Democrat operatives, an election interference specialist, really. He drove that hoax. You won't believe what I just found Marc Elias doing with project 2025. โ€Œ So it didn't make sense to me why all of a sudden project 2025 was running all over the Internet and the propaganda artists were creating an enormous amount of propaganda around it. And what was more important is I've actually read most of the documents. โ€Œ So almost everything that I was hearing about project 2025 from the left didn't make sense because it wasn't in the document. Well, I found the answer. This is an almost 50 page document put together by an organization called Democracy Forward. โ€Œ And if you're interested in who they are, you should go take a look because it's littered with some of the most far left radical propagandist that I've ever come across. And if you go through this document, you're gonna notice that every one of the politically charged talking points that you've been hearing on this platform and others come from here. โ€Œ The idea that project 2025 is gonna ban contraception comes from here. The idea that project 2025 is gonna destroy the environment comes from here. The idea that project 2025 is gonna allow slavery to be reimplemented comes from here. The problem? None of that is actually in project 2025. And here's a perfect example. This is one section where it talks about how project 2025 is gonna eliminate a concept called disparate treatment theory, which is used to fight against discrimination, and they twist it to suggest that it's gonna be used to allow us to go back to a period pre 1965. The problem, even the citation on this article is wrong. If you go to page 72 chapter 3, it doesn't talk at all about the disparate impact theory. In fact, it talks about merit pay. โ€Œ So they're lying to people. And every one of the talking points, it's here. So I decided to check who's responsible for this, and what do I find at the very top, the chair of the Democracy Forward, Marc Elias. You know, the same Marc Elias who's responsible for bankrolling the Steele dossier, the same Mark Elias that the DNC had to fire for lying to a court and to a special counsel, and the same Mark Elias that the 5th Circuit Court had to sanction for filing false motions, and, yes, the same Mark Elias who was responsible for the drop boxes and the violating of state election law all around the country in 2020, that same guy who created the Russian hoax in 2016, an election interference specialist that the Democrat party turns to when they need to interfere in election is responsible for that. And that, my friends, is what is being used to destroy the Donald Trump campaign just like they did in 2016. โ€Œ They take a lie. They put it into the media. It's called a wrap up smear, and then they say that Donald Trump is responsible for it. That's how it's done, and that's what they're doing right now.

๐ŸŒ Dear Global Pioneers โ€“ Rise! Rise! Rise! This is the unstoppable spirit of our 3rd Global GCV Conference! We are here not just to hold another event, but to ignite a movement, to send a signal across the world, and to prove that pioneers are ready for the full OM of Pi Network. --- ๐Ÿ”ฅ Why Do We Need the 3rd Conference? The question is simple but powerful: Why this 3rd Conference now? This is our communication to PCT and all major institutions that have already joined Pi Network as stakeholders. And let me remind youโ€”our communication is not through emails, not through formal channels. It is through telepathy of the heart โค๏ธ. When the Core Team makes great progress, when they need the collaboration of pioneers, we can feel it deeply. Why? Because our hearts are clean, sincere, pure, and aligned with the Pi Network White Paper. Today, the PCT has already built the infrastructure. โœ… All the tests are done. โœ… I also get a confidential report regarding the code which includes Pi Network OM progress from an independent auditor. Now the question remains: Pioneers, are you ready? --- โšก Readiness Is Not Just Words Readiness is not about waiting to convert all your Pi into fiat the moment Open Mainnet arrives. That is not readinessโ€”that is short-sightedness. Readiness is not dismissing the conference as useless. That is not readinessโ€”that is ignorance. True readiness means: Supporting our conferences. Promoting them so more pioneers can attend. Standing together as one united community. Our goal is bold and clear: 10,000 pioneers live at the conference. 1,000,000 pioneers are watching the replay. Why such numbers? Because when institutions and the Core Team see pioneers united and educated, they gain confidence in our long-term support. And that will remove their biggest fear: the mass, short-term conversion of Pi into fiat. If pioneers behave short-sightedly, the Open Mainnet (OM) date cannot be determined. But if pioneers rise together, OM becomes unstoppable. --- ๐Ÿ’ก The Mindset Shift We Need If you truly want financial freedom, you must understand this truth: Fiat currency is devaluing faster every day. Selling Pi for fiat too early is surrendering your future wealth. The real future is in utility, ecosystem, and long-term development. So why sell Pi for devaluing fiat when we are building utilities that will multiply Piโ€™s real value? This mindset barrierโ€”this lack of educationโ€”is what delays our freedom. And that is why the GCV Conference exists: to educate, unite, and empower pioneers. --- ๐Ÿš€ What Must We Do Now? Here is the action plan for every true pioneer: 1. Promote the conference video until we reach 10,000 live participants. 2. Encourage replaysโ€”help every pioneer watch and learn. 3. Invite pioneers to the International GCV Telegram group. Our goal: 1 million pioneers well-educated and united. 4. Support your countryโ€™s local GCV barter and spread the news everywhere. 5. Join Pioneerโ€™s Handbook studyโ€”online or in your local group. Knowledge is power. 6. Repost and spread all GCV news and education quickly. Donโ€™t just readโ€”share! --- ๐ŸŒ„ The Summit Awaits Pioneers, we are almost there. The summit is in sight. But before we can stand on top, we must overcome the greatest challenge of all: our own laziness and inaction. The future does not wait. Pi Network will not wait. Financial freedom will not wait. The time to act is NOW. --- โœŠ Rise! Rise! Rise! Focus on the conference. Focus on the video. Gain the power. Spread the word. We are the Global Consensus Value movement. We are the heart and voice of pioneers. We are the force that will make history. Together, we will rise. Together, we will prove we are ready. Together, we will reach the summit. Global Pioneersโ€”Rise! Rise! Rise! Please take action now! Pass this information on from now! You are not working for me! You work for yourself! Facts about FNCS disqualification! Epic Games Store Fortnite Fortnite Competitive need to reconsider their decision to disqualify the trio palochka , wed1 and relะฐ1$z. Iโ€™ll get straight to the point. This post was created to eliminate misinformation in the Fortnite community and reveal the full truth about what happened on 12/02/2025. It also aims to appeal the unfair decision to disqualify the trio Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz from their well-earned qualification for the FNCS Grand Finals. And, of course, to prevent such situations in the futureโ€”because this could happen to absolutely anyone. First of all, itโ€™s important to clarify that no one was disqualified for using cheats or any other software. The disqualification happened for a completely unclear reason, but to understand the context, we need to go back to May 2023. Rela1zz and his teammates โ€” @kontikfnx, @enrgyyyy, and ammbrat โ€” were banned for bypassing the "REGION LOCK". However, and this is a crucial point, the "REGION LOCK" RULES were only introduced nearly six months after they had already been banned and then UNBANNED.( Itโ€™s important to clarify that the ban wasnโ€™t because of bypassing the "REGION LOCK," as Iโ€™ve already saidโ€”at the time, there were no rules against bypassing it, and those rules only came about six months later. The ban actually came from a MASS REPORT that was created by katoo (proof in the video, that is attached to this post). Epic Games showed serious negligence by allowing such a MASS REPORT to happen, as their system isnโ€™t perfect, and there was no thorough investigation on their part. Fortunately, they realized the mistake and the ban was issued by the auto-ban system. After a brief review that lasted about seven days, all of them were unbannedโ€”except for Rela1zz, who was unable to verify that he was the owner of his account. As a result, he had to use his alternative account, which is not prohibited by Fortniteโ€™s rules. In the end, this alternative account became his main one, and he used it to compete in all tournaments from April 2023 to February 2025, including last FNCS Qualifiers. The fact that the account was initially banned was a mistake of Epic Games. Because their system issued an auto-ban due to the MASS REPORT. This ban was entirely unjustified. (Epic Games can 100% confirm that, they just need to do a quick investigation.) With this context in mind, itโ€™s clear that trio โ€” Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz โ€” had nothing on their way to play FNCS Qualifiers. As a result of the FNCS Group 3 Qualifiers, this trio placed top 8, which guarantees them a spot in the FNCS GRAND FINALS. However, there was 1 problem MrSavage, Mongraal and Panzer placed top 11, while qualifying for the FNCS FINALS required at least top 10. Immediately after, MrSavage began accusing the trio of Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz of using cheats, which is an absolute lie. As a result, the players faced unjustified insults from mrSavage fan's. Using his connections within Epic Games and beyond, MrSavage began pushing the narrative that Rela1zz had broken the rules in the past and was now illegally playing tournaments on a second account. He conveniently left out the fact that Epic Games had unbanned Rela1zzโ€™s alternative account, which allowed him to continue playing in tournaments. As a result of mrSavageโ€™s actions, the trio Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz were disqualified from the FNCS Grand Finals, and Rela1zz was banned for something that happened in 2023โ€”even though Epic Games had already lifted his ban and allowed him to compete. So, knowing all this, why is it that after one of the most high-profile trios in Fortnite failed to qualify for the FNCS Grand Finals, the trio of Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz ended up getting disqualified? Why now, almost 2 DAMN YEARS LATER? Why is it only after MrSavage started accusing this trio of cheating, after all the noise and dispute, that some old Twitter post from Rela1zz surfaced? A post that isnโ€™t even a valid argument for banning and disqualifying the entire trio. Itโ€™s incredibly convenient when MrSavage is a media giant with strong connections. You can get rid of anyone in the leaderboards whoโ€™s an absolute NONAME compared to you. And thatโ€™s exactly what happened with the trio of Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz. They put their life's on this, but they got unreasonably disqualified. Guys, donโ€™t let this happen in our game. Donโ€™t let corruption rise above justice and common sense. This post is meant to show the truth about whatโ€™s going on and to ensure that something like this never happens again. If we leave everything as it is, whereโ€™s the guarantee that this wonโ€™t happen again? This post isnโ€™t about trying to offend anyone, we just want to see honesty and fairness. Fortnite Competitive, Fortnite, we ask you to look into the ongoing injustice against the trio of palochka , wed1 , relะฐ1$z and against tournament rules in Fortnite. Fortnite community, we need all your support! Dropping a podcast repost today that I did with Mark Moss a few months back that is well worth a listen. Itโ€™s packed with insights on YouTube, lead gen, business building, and Markโ€™s predicted incoming inflationary crash. We talk about: - How he holds a 65% retention rate on YouTube - The upcoming market crash and how to prep - The future of the marketing and how to adapt - Tips for focused note taking Hereโ€™s what I learned: 1. Our education systems are built for analytical thinkers, but analytical thinking wonโ€™t get you ahead anymore. Sites like Upwork have commoditized technical workers globally, making them easy to access at affordable rates. To compete, you need to have a creative mind. 2. Most people are afraid of the wrong kind of market crash. Theyโ€™re expecting a deflationary crash, like what happened in 2008 when everyone sold their assets. Mark is predicting an inflationary crash, where you want to increase your assets. If youโ€™re a business owner, you should raise your prices. If youโ€™re a W2 employee, lower your expenses, negotiate your pay, and try to get more assets. 3. There are three types of assets - scarce assets (collectibles, cars, bitcoin, property), energy-intensive assets (gold, wheat, oil, uranium), and non-scarce/non-energy-intensive assets (equities, etc). Focus on the first two. 4. โ€œItโ€™s not โ€˜who you knowโ€™, itโ€™s โ€˜who knows youโ€™โ€. Creating content and becoming well-known makes deals happen that otherwise never would have been there. 5. Mark has an insane 65% retention rate on his YouTube videos. He says its because of good storytelling. 6. Mark uses a ~60s hook framework for his videos: whoโ€™s it for, whatโ€™s it for, and status change, or what the viewer will get out of the video if they watch it till the end. 7. If youโ€™re making long-form content, your videos should be at least 8 minutes long so you can have two ad slots. 8. Mark doesnโ€™t like short form content because it lacks depth and connection. He thinks long-form YouTube is the mothership for content. 9. Listening to audiobooks at the same time as you read the physical copies can help you better take in information. 10. All growth comes from long-term thinking. 11. Capture every idea and make a list of the evergreen content you want to create. 12. Mark up your books with post-it notes to make it easy to reread them (reread your books). 13. Take focused notes when youโ€™re at a conference. Draw a vertical line down your notebook page and put your notes on the left and what that note is immediately applicable to on the right. 14. At least 1-3% of your portfolio should be Bitcoin. 15. Mark thinks weโ€™re approaching a cataclysmic event where AI will create so much spam that the internet may become unusable. To differentiate, youโ€™ll need personal interaction (a personal brand). This only half scratches all we talked through. Check out the full video here:

So why we need open mainnet and when it's the good time to open and can we make it faster? I think Yes! WE build up Pi public blockchain is like we are building a highway. When the highway complete, all drivers need this highway because it can bring them benefit. And the highway can charge them fees every time when they pass. Pi is similar like a highway. The drivers are outside eco and different organization. We all know Pi WEB 3.0 blockchain has great value. This will attract outside eco come. When they come, they don't have Pi to pledge to use our blockchain. So they need to use their FIAT to buy our Pi. However, if our inner community has difference on price, it's like the highway has been controlled by different groups. These groups charge different fees. It will confuse outside eco and make them hesitate to come. That's why I believe open mainnet need united price for outside eco. Of course united price can help inner eco develop grow fast too. There are two options regarding price: 1. Let the pioneers and merchants slowly reach the agreement and we do nothing . This is let it go naturally. I do know some pioneers advocate this way. But I am sure it will take long journey because more than 45 million pioneers or maybe will never reach agreement. They will use from $0.01 to 1 million $ different price. 2. Our pioneers community advocate GCV because it has been accepted by a lot pioneers and merchants already. If all pioneers can understand this GCV price logic and if they hold Pi, they will support it. The reason is so simple. It relate to their self interest. This can be done very fast if we all united together. Another reason is based on a business accounting system. All business has tax reporting system even crypto currency. From 2019, USA IRS has the tax regulation on individual crypto currency capital gain. Currently most merchants are pioneers, they use their individual Pi Wallet. I see recently there is developer/merchant business wallet come out. Then they should use business Pi wallet. So it's easier for them to track crypto business profit and loss. As an accountant I know all capital gain or loss are calculated by using USD in USA. So accountant need a unified price. If not, the company will hesitate to join Pi eco system. Based the above reason, i call on Pi Community to support GCV price so that eco can satisfied prosperous condition to open mainnet. As for KYC and migration, the technology part has been mature or almost mature. And we believe CT and all pioneers can follow very fast. During close mainnet all merchants should do barter according to your availability. Please don't put all your products now! Close mainnet period is for cultivate the Pi Payment environment! If you have inventory and small items, you can put maybe 10% or less of your products to barter. All business owners should realize before opening mainnet there is risk of loss. Why many Chinese merchant do it? Because they are pioneers too ! They want to realize Pi GCV price so they do it volunteering to use inventory and small items with limit supply. Therefore it won't have much risk. And if open mainnet can reach GCV, they will not incur loss. So please all merchants do it wisely. Close mainnet small items and use inventory. Of course if you want to put big items, this is your choice and pioneers will be appreciated. But my suggestion is to be Rationalism. If everyone can do a little, it will create big influence. As a pioneer close mainnet it's not a time to get profit for yourself. So please don't expect cross border or big items because merchant has business risk. I see some cross border barter incur which is based on individual merchant. When open mainnet, you can realize all of it. But now it's time to help GCV price as a trend from my opinion. The above analysis is only my personal analysis. Reference only. It is not Business Advice! #WhatIDoForPi #PiGCV

#Donghae #๋™ํ•ด Fr0mm live ๐Ÿฏ: I have some work to do, so Iโ€™m about to head off now. This weekโ€™s listening party, itโ€™s my first time trying a listening party. Iโ€™m really looking forward to it. Are you looking forward to it too? The listening party is where we all gather together and take some time to listen to the music. Youโ€™ve already seen the highlight medley for this album, right? Which one do you like? Should we listen together? โ€œRocketโ€, since we performed it at the Super Show encore, it should feel familiar, right? And since itโ€™s familiar, youโ€™ll be able to sing along well, right? Iโ€™ll be looking forward to that at the concert. โ€œRaceโ€ is cool, right? Itโ€™s also a song I really like. Honestly, all the songs this time are good, right? Tell me honestly, if you donโ€™t like something, just say you donโ€™t. This is for you. Alright, letโ€™s move to the next song. At the concert, you all have to do this together, okay? This is definitely a group sing-along. I intentionally added a lot of those parts in this album. Since youโ€™re coming to the venue, I wanted to create parts where everyone can sing together. โ€œRocketโ€ is like that, โ€œHelpโ€ is like that, there are a lot of parts where youโ€™ll need to join in. So I want it to feel like weโ€™re creating the performance together. Okay? Letโ€™s listen to the next one. So that Annie wonโ€™t wither, Iโ€™ll keep watering it, so it doesnโ€™t fade. Iโ€™ll become your season, so that I can always be there for you. So you just have to become my flower. You have to sing this part too, I wonโ€™t sing here. โ€œBeautiful flowerโ€ you know it, right? Youโ€™re looking forward to the concert, right? And also the listening party right now? Alright, next song. โ€œBeautifulโ€ is also a song I really, really like. I kept thinking it would be great to include it in this album. And I made it thinking youโ€™d really love it when you hear the track. Right now, Iโ€™m reviewing the highlight medley visual film. We need moments like this too, right? And then, every October we always meet and have a birthday party, right? This will be the theme song for that. Among you today, there must be someone whose birthday it is. Happy birthday to you~ This is crazy, thereโ€™s not a single bad song. Even when I listen to it myself, it sounds so good. Iโ€™m really, really proud. And seeing you all like it this much, that means a lot. Alright, next, so we donโ€™t miss anything This really feels like Donghaeโ€™s vibe, right? This is totally his emotional style. I really remember when I was making this song. I wondered, โ€œCan I really do all of this?โ€ And it was really cold back then while filming. My body kept shaking like this, it was so cold. I really like all of them. I worked hard on every single song. And finally, the last one: The reason I made โ€œGood Dayโ€ is because I sincerely wanted to tell you to have a good day, every single day. And I made it thinking that when you listen to this song, it could be the moment you wake up each day. All of us, me included, there are times in life when we feel tired, struggle, and want to give up. Iโ€™ll talk more about it after the album is released. But whatever happens, I hope you never give up. You might feel down right now, or feel like giving up, whether itโ€™s friendships, love, or anything at all. But donโ€™t give up. Because Iโ€™m here, and you also have people around you who love you. And the sunlight will greet you again. So I hope you endure until the end. This album, really, is for you, and it contains a lot of things I wanted to say to you. So when it comes out, I hope you fully enjoy that time. Another reason I made this a full album is, these days, if you release a mini album, you canโ€™t even listen for 30 minutes. Itโ€™s like 20-something minutes, right? Songs are getting shorter too. So I wanted you to spend a longer time enjoying music with this album. Music shows? Probably next week. Dress code for the concert? Iโ€™ll tell you a bit later. Iโ€™ll prepare a bit more and then let you know. Good night

We're bringing in some fun changes to Dremica this Sunday. Come try it out and see the progress. We can't have a Web3 game without degeneracy. Lokito's gambling antics have inspired a new way to play the game. On Sunday you'll be able to try your luck with your in game gold by spinning Big Boy's Wheel in an attempt to help you top the leaderboards. Also since we've added so much to the game it's time to look at the gameplay loop and its economy. Here's the changes I've proposed and my thoughts. Economic Simplicity We need your in game achievements to feel impactful. Dremica is designed as an MMO to give players freedom of how they play the game. Whether its killing monsters, leveling up tradeskills or playing with their gold. The common denominator for everything is XP (player levels). Even gold can be used to buy XP tomes from the shop to level up your skills. Now I propose we distribute our prize pool to players based on their levels. It's future-proof and allows us to add more features without breaking the core gameplay loops. All players will receive rewards from the SAMA prize pool based on their level obtained. Currently the Carnage prize pool is 100,000 SAMA so EVERY player will get a share of it based on what level they reach during the session. Your level / Total levels from all players * Prize pool = Your rewards. Also to keep that competitive spirit we'll be adding additional prizes for the top 10 on the leaderboard. When the Dremica BETA starts it allows us to simply add in a potential new tokenomic model and also allows PVP to plug into the system with ease. TLDR: More levels = more rewards. Why add in RNG-based mechanics (with the wheel?) Seeing the same people hit top 3 of the leaderboard each week isn't exactly exciting for new players. We can't have a stagnant monotonous grind, we need something dynamic. High-risk/high-reward scenarios change everything. Starting with Big Boy's wheel, we plan more exciting game play options including the new PVP zone in the beta. Personally I can't wait to see someone get super lucky and cause absolute havoc in the community. We're in the Alpha testing phase anyway, let's see how it unfolds. How can you make this sustainable? To make a Web3 game work, it needs to absorb more tokens than what are emitted. Dremica uses a fixed prize pool per session, if we can ensure enough utility that players spend their rewards and more than are emitted it can fund the gaming sessions indefinitely. Next month we're going to be focusing on pushing out the in-game SAMA shop where players can start spending the rewards they earn. It will be the first major step for Dremica to begin adding token utility. Additional utility is planned for the future whether its cosmetic-based rewards or unannounced mechanics. We've held back on planned tokenomic/ecosystem changes to focus on building the game first. If these happen there's only one chance to get it right. I think everyone knows gaming is one of the best use cases of Web3, just need to build a fun experience and keep people engaged. We've got enough time, runway and support to get Dremica up there in the Web3 gaming echelon. What else have you got planned? Each of the past months Dremica has been pushing out some hard-hitting updates and the game is truly taking shape. The team is working tirelessly to keep adding more features and improving the experience. Now that a lot of the core functionality required for an MMORPG is in, we can start to look at expansion. As you'll see later this week we're bringing in other projects/partners to join us on the journey. The Dremica BETA is the next major milestone where the game will look vastly different and the whole world is changing. And hopefully our frens at Beam will be able to assist and make sure everyone knows about it. I originally titled the work on Dremica as the "Secret weapon" before it was announced. Work on "Secret Weapon 2.0" has started which will enhance the Dremica/Carnage experience further. For Dremica to succeed we're doubling down on the "Carnage" model where everyone comes together at the same time to play. This is how the whole Moonsama ecosystem started 3+ years ago. The new Secret Weapon aims to fill that void. How can I play? If you own an EXO join our token-gated community at If you're brand new join and the team/community will be able to help you get access to the game. The next play test is this Sunday February 9th at 4pm UTC. A 2 hour session where you play to get the highest level you can. See you in game ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Sharing My Journey Trading Memecoins on Solana (1 Year 4 Months In) Iโ€™ll also be doing a giveaway 0.5 SOL each to 3 lucky winners ( 48 hours ). The rules are simple: Repost and Share your trading experience on Solana (memecoins or utility coins) and tell me your biggest profit and biggest loss in the comment below. Alright, now itโ€™s time for us to get back to the story. I wanna share my personal experience trading memecoins (and some utility plays) on Solana over the past 1 year and 4 months. Before that, I was pretty active on Ethereum since around 2020. So what made me switch to Solana ? It started when someone from my private group pointed out the potential of Solana, the speed, the low fees, and how early the ecosystem still felt at the time. Funny thing is, I actually heard about Solana when it was already at $80, but I didnโ€™t really touch it until it hit around $100, and I started with 20 SOL as capital. It was sometime around February 2024 (donโ€™t remember the exact date), when I first tried trading memecoins on Solana. Back then, wasnโ€™t even popping yet, most devs were still launching manually. No fancy bots, no real token scanners, just pure risk. ( Correct me if Iโ€™m wrong about when first launched. ) Honestly, in the beginning, it was tough. New tokens popping up every second, rugs left and right, Solana was in hype mode, and everyone wanted to launch something. But by April, things started to click. I was finally making profits trading Solana coins, memecoins, lowcap utilities, all that. If I compare it to now, Iโ€™d say it was way easier back then to catch early entries. Not even exaggerating, 100x plays were way more common. I will put sneak peek of some of my PnL from my personal channel, Of course, itโ€™s not as simple anymore with todayโ€™s market; Bundles everywhere, token farming systems, launch metas changing fastโ€ฆ Back then? It was cleaner. Simpler. Honestly, better. Through all this, Iโ€™ve always had one dream: To help people who are truly serious about learning the game. Thatโ€™s why I started Bollish Research , a place for real ones to learn and grow in this space. From the very beginning of Bollish Academy until now, weโ€™ve built the Bollish Research team through real work and honestly, quite a few people have been cut along the way. The older I get, the more I realize the value of staying low keyโ€ฆ of building a tight circle and only letting the right people in. You can be open, honest, and real, but still know that not everyone deserves a seat at your table. Iโ€™ve come to realize this right now, all I want is to grind hard, make a lot of money, and make the people whoโ€™ve stood by me from day one proud. The ones who were there when I was nothing, all the way to who I am now. I wanna help people in need too, using the profits from my trading, because Iโ€™ve never had any intention of launching paid classes or any of that bullshit. So if youโ€™re reading this, listen. Most of the time there is no support system, it's just you and your grind. So believe in yourself. Motivate yourself. Celebrate your small wins. Pray to God that you will make it. Donโ€™t lose hope. Stay focused. Stay consistent. Be disciplined. If you wanna see my PnL, you can check it out below or you can join my Journey Channel ( ) Thanks for reading. I love you all

The Dallas Cowboys are an absolute disaster and appear to be headed into a full, tear-it-down rebuild with a freshly-minted $60M QB. How bout dem Cowboys? So many problems with this thing โ€” worst run defense in the league, AND the worst run offense too? Itโ€™s a perfectly balanced catastrophe. They now clearly need to rebuild significant parts of both lines โ€” which could take years. Along with a laundry list of other massively glaring needs โ€” including hiring a new coaching staff. But this time, the train wreck somehow feels even larger than just the enormous personnel and coaching troubles at hand. The last time the Cowboys were in the NFC championship game โ€” Iโ€™m pretty sure Jim McMahon, Art Monk and Warren Moon were still playing. Dude, Warren Moon is 67. This time, the full demoralizing weight of the entire miserable (almost 30 year) drought seems at the forefront. Oddly, while reflecting on the end of days, I somehow keep coming back to one preposterous, little story from camp. The great DeMarvion Overshown โ€” undeniably one of the Cowboys BEST players โ€” was apparently told he couldnโ€™t wear his favorite number (#0) becauseโ€ฆ umโ€ฆ wellโ€ฆ uhโ€ฆ Rowdy wears #00. Dude. ROWDY. The fvc%ing mascot??? Seriously? This has to be the dumbest shit in #DallasCowboys history. Maybe league history. Maybe Earth history. I was just thinking about the day Kevin Turner told us about this insanity on the show. I found myself wondering if it could possibly be true. Maybe I misunderstood. Maybe he was joking. Nope. Itโ€™s actually real. Hereโ€™s an interview with Overshown and the great Bill Jones where they discussed this topic back in camp on CBS11. I meanโ€ฆ. this is glorious. And also, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll ever get over it. I donโ€™t think I can ever move on. I love it so much. Feels like something right out of The Righteous Gemstones. Fvc%ing Rowdy? Are you serious? This somehow feels emblematic of everything that is wrong with the franchise. The mascot has dibs on a jersey number that a player wants? Of course. Because, ya know, the giant muppet wears a similar number while dancing around in a stupid looking oversized felt cartoon head on the sideline? Itโ€™s important work. Are you guys maybe worried about the wrong shit? Can you imagine the Mavs telling Luka he couldnโ€™t wear #77 because Mavs Man wears it during his mini-trampoline bit? The league probably shouldโ€™ve just contracted the franchise upon hearing this story. In fact, if there was ever a time for us to pack up humanity and jumpstart some Elon Super-Ark spaceship to Mars, this mightโ€™ve been it. We may not get a more-identifiable signal to go ahead and hit the reset button as a planet. Now look โ€” I admit, I might be overreacting to something that doesnโ€™t really matter. I mean, if Overshown had been wearing #0, I get it, theyโ€™d still have the exact same record. Clearly this isnโ€™t the actual reason that theyโ€™re so unbelievably cooked. But for me, it might be the hood ornament on the poop wagon. This absurd, little story is the final cherry-on-top, inescapable doom-realization moment for one of the longest, most painful, and most fruitless sports pilgrimages of my lifetime. And soโ€ฆ. here we are. Itโ€™s time to rebuild. All of it. The whole damn thing. The culture is broken. The business-first formula has had its day. I mean decade. I mean decades. Itโ€™s time for the circus to go quiet. Itโ€™s time to make football the priority again. Damnit. As I thumb-type this marathon post on my iPhone, I fully realize I mightโ€™ve faxed these exact words in letter-form to Jeff Skin Wade back in the Dave Campo era. Despite the broken record nature of this generic sportstalk manifesto, itโ€™s all remarkably still on point. Apparently, weโ€™ve all unknowingly been trapped in an endless Groundhog Day remake. Bottom lineโ€ฆ. you have to prioritize winning over all else. Then you gotta keep the main thing the main thing. And the main thing canโ€™t be your Forbes valuation.

It is time we talk about Alex Hawke and his Indian connection. The shadowy backdrop to his demanding for an apology from Jacinta Price - "to help her" - for her rather innocent and well-meaning statement. Which she has further clarified. Itโ€™s not about good politics for Alex - itโ€™s desperation. He just didnโ€™t bank on her response. Maybe it is because sheโ€™s buoyed by her spectacular performance on the voice. Or maybe it is because as a new entrant, she's not a product of a party that has been cowering to Hawkeโ€™s nonsense for almost two decades. Either way, the Liberal Party is caught in no manโ€™s land, as an often silent but sometimes public brutal factional war rages between two forces. It is far from being the principled party of Menzies. Itโ€™s not the party of Howard, of Abbott, or even of Turnbull. Not anymore. Under Ley, the party is more of a Teal apologist organisation. It is so incapable of opposition, many wonder why it still officially holds the space at all. With Ley at the helm and the NSW division in administration, Alex Hawke and the lobbyist left is firmly in charge of both the party organisation, and the parliamentary team. That is one side of the war. On the other side, the conservatives, those โ€œwe believeโ€ Liberals, those much happier in coalition with the Net Zero rejecting National party. Those that want to see a return to a party focused on small government, lower taxes, individual initiative, farmers, and small business. They're not owned by lobbyist forces, and don't genuflect to the latest identity politics driven brain fart. I personally believe the Liberals need to find their centre-right roots, and fast. I believe they need to start opposing Labor and holding them to account. That starts when they finally deal with the mess that is Alex Hawke. Hawke has always been surrounded by a cloud of controversy, from his splitting of the right of the party, to his constant messing in pre-selections, and his obsessive control over the NSW division. The Hawke faction never seemed to have any qualms doing bad things to good people. Always running toward expediency, they give way on the big important things (like Net Zero), for perceived short-term gain. It is my opinion they are the reason for the mess Australia is in right now. Too many talentless, feckless and inauthentic people have been placed into parliament by a captured organisation, and now there is little leadership, vision or talent more capable than Hawke himself. Which is not very capable at all. We can all see in, the rouge has worn thin and no amount of bullying, or breathless, terrible, virtue signalling photo-ops will draw the curtain back over the window. The Hawke left machine is filled with lobbyists, vested interests and careerists. From Green energy interests, migration agents, hired-gun lobbyists (who put corporate interests ahead of the national interest) and in Hawkes case โ€“ a conference, Mitchell, allegedly operated together with radical elements of the Indian BJP. Four Corners did a deep dive into the subject, and the evidence is more than circumstantial. They produced an episode titled โ€œInfiltrating Australia โ€“ India's secret warโ€ focused on Indiaโ€™s influence on the Australian political landscape. Of course, this does not mean all people of Indian descent are infiltrators, or that they are not welcome in this country. It does not mean that Australia should not have a sensible migration program, or any of the rest. But at this time in the midst of a housing crisis, and a slowing economy, where access to services is becoming harder and harder, surely the Liberal party must sensibly prosecute a case to curb our intake. It is in the national interest, getting somewhere to live is becoming neigh on impossible and common courtesy dictates that rapidly adding more bodies needing even more homes is just bad manners. I would suggest Hawke is less motivated by the national interest, and instead his personal and factional interest โ€“ conversely, I say Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has the national interest at heart. Worse, there is indeed a reasonable accusation that this rapid immigration tips the electoral balance in Laborโ€™s favour. A genuine opposition would surely be running this story on high rotation. Not apologising for calling it out. The Liberals have not learned anything, not from 2022, and not from this year's election. The crucial NSW party is in a worse position than ever, and the evils of the destructive factional war there have spread across the nation. They will not provide an opposition or govern โ€˜til the war is resolved, and people of principle - not vapid spivs or lobbyist aligned hacks - are back in charge of the organisation. And when they are, they must clean out the rot - root and branch. If they don't it is entirely possible, the Liberals wipe themselves off the map. Whatever happens, we desperately need an opposition in this country and fast, so we can have some hope. We need an authentic opposition to drag Australia out of the funk. Itโ€™s been a very long time. I just want Australia back.

My first two words on this particular Sunday morning were "Hallelujah!โ€ followed by, โ€œAmen!โ€ I was not in church when I uttered them. I was at my kitchen table, watching the CEO of the most valuable company in the world say precisely what mikeroweWORKS has been espousing for the last sixteen years. In other words, this is what I look like before coffee, when I find myself in violent agreement with a multi-billionaire. If you havenโ€™t already heard, a massive challenge is upon us. With regard to artificial intelligence and the energy we need to feed it, America will either change its current direction, or get left far, far behind. I know this because I run a modest foundation that has been arguing for decades that the portion of our workforce most often described as โ€œthe skilled trades,โ€ will become the most essential component of our economy, our independence, and our collective future. Well, the future is here. Obviously, I didnโ€™t know that the race to dominate artificial intelligence would be the thing that finally galvanized the folks at the grown-up table. When I founded mikeroweWORKS in 2008, I figured it would be a new commitment to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure that would necessitate a collective push to reinvigorate the trades. That need is still pressing, but I never imagined the most urgent cry for more welders and electricians would be ushered in by the need for more data centers. Back then, I didnโ€™t even know what a data center was. But today, here we are. Data centers are headline news, because they are โ€“ as Jensen Huang says - AI factories. And if we want to remain competitive with China, we need to build thousands of them. Now. And presently, we simply donโ€™t have the workforce to do it. Iโ€™ll be discussing all of this next Tuesday in Pittsburgh, at the Energy and Innovation Summit, which is turning out to be a pretty high-profile event. looks like Iโ€™ll be joining a panel of elected officials, including the President, and dozens of well-known CEOโ€™s to discuss Pennsylvaniaโ€™s role in the energy renascence. A lot of money is being invested in Pennsylvania, (a LOT), and my message to those writing the checks will be no different than itโ€™s been since we launched mikeroweWORKS: "Set some of that money aside to make a more persuasive case for the work itself. The skilled trades need better PR, and they need it on a national level. The country needs to see thousands of examples - real world examples - of men and women who have prospered as a result of learning a skill that's in demand." I first made this point to President Obama in an open letter to The White House in 2009, shortly after he promised 3 million โ€œshovel-readyโ€ jobs in his Highway Infrastructure Act. I was rooting for the President back then, and offered to use Dirty Jobs and mikeroweWORKS as vehicles to help promote his initiative. I did so because I was skeptical that people would line up to take those jobs simply because they were "created." โ€œFilling three million shovel-ready jobs,โ€ I wrote, โ€œwill be a lot easier if people feel enthused about the prospect of picking up a shovel. Investment alone, wonโ€™t create that kind of enthusiasm.โ€ The White House did not respond to my offer. Understandably, most presidents do not seek the advice of marginally famous cable television hosts best known for crawling through sewers. But itโ€™s worth remembering that the unemployment rate back then was over 10%. Millions of people were newly unemployed, and I think the former President assumed that creating three million shovel-ready jobs would translate to three million people going back to work. But thatโ€™s not what happened. Because back then, even with record high unemployment, there were 2.3 million open jobs, most of which did not require a four-year degree. Nobody wanted to talk about that. Today, that number is more like 7.6 million. Nobody wants to talk about it now, either. This is why I'm going to Pittsburgh. Just as I was rooting for President Obama in 2009, Iโ€™m rooting for President Trump today. I hope he succeeds in reinvigorating our industrial base and reshoring our manufacturing capabilities, and I want to offer my support. But if he does succeed, weโ€™re talking about millions new jobs in manufacturing alone. And currently, there are over 400,000 jobs in that sector that are currently open, begging the obvious question... If we canโ€™t fill the openings we have, how will we fill the oneโ€™s weโ€™re about to create? Thatโ€™s the question Iโ€™ll pose in Pittsburgh. Iโ€™ll let you know if anyone has an answer. Mike PS. Not to put too fine a point on it, but this change is truly upon us, and I've had a front row seat. Over the last six months, mikeroweWORKS been flooded with inquiries to collaborate on various recruitment initiatives and multiple industries. I mean, flooded. Not a week goes by that I don't hear from an industry leader who has come to the realization that theyโ€™ve gone as far as they can go without more skilled labor. Panic, is not too strong a word. The Maritime Industrial Base for instance, is currently tasked with delivering three nuclear powered submarines to the Navy every year for the next decade, and looking to hire 140,000 tradespeople. 140,000!!! โ€œDo you know where they are?โ€ they asked me. โ€œWeโ€™ve looked everywhere.โ€ โ€œYes,โ€ I said. โ€œI know where they are. Theyโ€™re in the 8th grade.โ€ Iโ€™ve had similar calls with the automotive industry, who needs 80,000 technicians and collision repair workers. Every single home service company is hiring โ€“ from foundation repair to roofing. The energy industry is looking for hundreds of thousands of skilled workers, and so too is the construction industry. A few weeks ago, at something called The Aspen Ideas Festival, I heard Larry Fink, the CEO of Blackrock, say weโ€™re short 500,000 electricians. A few months before that, at an Energy Conference in Newport, I heard Governor Rick Perry describe the race to build data centers and catch up to China with all things AI as nothing short of a โ€œmodern-day Manhattan Project.โ€ I think he's right. Part of the problem is an aging demographic. For every five skilled workers who retire, two replace them. Thatโ€™s why we need to engage with eighth graders today. Maybe even before that. We have to make a persuasive case for these jobs to the next generation, and just as importantly, to their parents. That wonโ€™t solve the immediate problem, but this is marathon, not a sprint, and these jobs need to be magnified and amplified at an early age. The more immediate problem is the labor force participation rate. As we speak, millions of able-bodied Americans - for all sorts of reasons - are not working and not looking for work. According to economist Nick Eberstadt, that number is close to 7 million able-bodied men. Iโ€™m not sure what to do about that, but itโ€™s a colossal problem that needs to be addressed. On the positive side, our last round of work ethic scholarships generated unparalleled interest. This year, mikeroweWORKSwill award $5 million to help train the next generation of skilled workers. That's ten times the number of qualified applicants we got this time a year ago. The needle is moving, and I believe we can move it a lot further, with a little help from the companies most incentivized to see the trades reinvigorated. Should be a lively conversation in The Keystone Stateโ€ฆ
