Every day I write about the importance of players creating mental framework for their game in order to compete in their High Performance Mindset. And I get asked all the time, by both players and coaches “What do these frameworks look like? What’s actually in them?” Below is a clip from my conversation with Glenn Crooks of SiriusFM. And in this clip, I’m detailing a couple of mental techniques I might use with players to help them establish their mental playbook. During the clip I talk briefly about the work I did around 18 years ago with the West Ham striker Carlton Cole. Carlton very generously wanted me to write about the work we did together in my first book Soccer Tough (a book that Gareth Bale kindly said changed his life). Jaylen Brown says he used the NBA Players Association instead of hiring an agent for the NBA Draft because they're paid to help players “When I entered the draft, I didn't have an agent. I'm probably the highest picked selected ever that didn't enter with an agent. When I was evaluating, I went through the whole process and sat with a bunch of people, and what they was offering I ain't really need. It was kind of already slotted, so I leaned on the union a lot more” “A lot of the agents came and was like, ‘Yeah, we'll move you to L.A. We'll get you a trainer, put some money in your pocket,’ and I was like, ‘For what? Do I gotta give the money back?’ They was like, ‘Nah, but standard agent fee is 4%.’ I'm starting to do the math, and a house, car, and all that, whatever he was offering, is a lot less than what 4% would have been” “Long story short, the math wasn't mathing for me. I ended up being the third pick. I think because I came in like that, a lot of people, I think it was the agents, they tried to slander my name a little bit, put it in the media that he's too this, he's too that. Ended up backfiring. It all worked out in the end” “With the union, we pay dues. All the players in the NBA pay dues. We all pay like $10,000 out of our salary that goes to hiring lawyers, hiring staff, CEO, everything that you need to lead a company that works for us. So all of that is our resources that we all pay for, that we agree to. Once I learned that, I just started using it” “I'm talking about you can get private investigations done. They give referrals for financial advisors. All type of stuff. Foundation wise, health insurance, whatever you need. They have a liaison that's paid to make sure that you get it done. So I put it on their desk like, ‘I need you to get this done.’ And they do because that's their job”

Then I'll perform with you properly. Let me tell you, I had already tried out with countless "Cheng Yichen"s. 🐺: (panic mode) No, no, no! Look at him... he remembered it like this! But what I actually said to him at the time was... "Be honest with me.., do you like this character or not? Do you want to act in this show or not?" 🐱: Was I being that playing hard to get? You were the one wearing little Prada, after all !! (🐱 Slayed, 🐺 bro speechless) 🐺: I told him... he just mentioned that stuff about "Cheng Yichen," right? I told him, this is what I said "I've already tried out with many different Cheng Yichen's. If you want to play this role, then I'll perform with you properly." That's how I said it, right? 🎤: Mm, he's explaining it to you right now. So, everyone, which version do you think is real? 🐱: Right? (Good question) 🗣️: Handsome! Handsome! 🐺: Because during that audition snippet.. At least for me... of every audition scene, the one I was looking forward to the most was taking off the glasses. Looking for... that heart-fluttering moment. (Bro knows what he wants) 🎤: So, did your heart flutter? (Nation wants to know !!) 🐺: I just felt that Lu Feng found his Cheng Yichen. (Bro playing hard to get) 🎤: Then what did 🐺 find? Have you also found the person who makes your heart flutter? (I love this girl) 🐺: yeah 🎤: I also want to know, is your heart fluttering right now? Short Post: #SEBI report on trading losses in India Why is everyone trying to educate traders when 10% of them still make money? Consider this: 14 lac apply for Civil services exam in India for 800 seats, success rate of 0.05%. We see lacs of students wasting precious years in their 20s doing nothing but - prepare for #IAS . Why does the Nation celebrate such youth who’re chasing govt. jobs. Success rate for such jobs is 0.5% at best. What a waste of productive years. Who educates them? However, when it comes to the youth who is trading in F&O in stocks, the success rate is 10%. This is a good enough probability. If the trader can learn better skills, the success could improve to 30% plus. Why does the nation look at them with contempt ? In a nation with limited avenues, these young ones are chasing every opportunity they get. And unlike others, this one doesn’t need degrees. Who’s the bigger gambler here? Who needs more regulation - those “aspiring” for Sarkari jobs OR the self-employed youth who trades on the side with their savings? Let’s try to look at the market traders with some respect. They just need a fair playing field. They don’t need throttling regulation which usually kills the small guy. Many interpret #SEBI report to indicate that these traders are ignorant and they need “education”. The truth may be entirely the opposite. A trader is fine losing 1 lac annually as it still allows him to dream of a bigger pay day when stars collude in his favour. On the other hand, Rs 1 lac when invested grows too slow for his dreams. He knows the trade-offs. Let’s stop assuming that these traders are ignorant. Finally, the action on #JaneStreetGroup was easy to predict. Most will clap this as a masterstroke. But the problem in India is a shallow, one sided cash market driven by flows & the most frothy F&O market globally, largely due to poor design. You still can’t effectively short sell in India while the stocks rise to astronomical levels. Jane street could have lost big time had there been enough cash buyers or the options market was better designed. Or if short selling was permitted with full efficiency. The solution was to encourage many such bigger foreign players to create a balance and depth of trades on both sides. Also let the domestic funds play with more freedom. But that’s a solution for free markets. In a market where good regulation means more regulation, a further tightening is the only expected outcome. And that’s what we got. The value of traders in Bank Nifty options to cash market was 400:1. This is too much skew that needed regulatory design fix, within the free market principles. SEBI has done the opposite – ban the foreign player. The market now is less free & more skewed. All the basic flaws still persist. A baby mother herself, barely six months old, with eyes clearly indicating illness, trying to care for 4 tiny two-week-old kittens. Her head sticking out of a makeshift shelter, eyes festering and a pleading look for help. She showed no fear, perhaps too unwell to run, or too weak. Cats running everywhere. Some terribly thin. Some appeared sick. Many with goopy, infected eyes. And a couple appear possibly pregnant. There are obvious signs that someone, at some point, had tried to help… Old makeshift shelters. Empty food dishes long dried up by the sun. But now they’re left alone, sick, hungry and a couple appear possibly pregnant. Priya hurried to get food and water, and they ate and drank with wild desperate hunger and thirst. This is not just a handful of cats. This is an unmanaged colony of approximately 30 fur babies living beside a dollar store, in an empty lot thick with brambles. Unsafe from road traffic, a busy parking lot, predators who roam the area. Trapped in the cruel cycle of kittens having kittens. It’s not a “lovely spot out in the woods”. We have managed many colonies over the years, and coming upon this tragedy never, ever! gets easy. And it never comes at a time when it’s financially or spatially feasible to help them. Because in rescue, perfect timing hardly ever exists. And wasting time and your breath harping about the neglect and cold hearted actions of humans…is well, just that. You just do…because turning your back would only be more of what has already been done to them! And they deserve Help. Food. Vet care. Relief. Love. Home. A Safe Soft place to land. So starting now and over this summer, with your help, we are taking this colony on as a full Rescue and TNR project. The Forgotten Field Project will focus on: • Regularly feeding every cat • Rescuing the adoptable ones/finding homes • Vet care/Treating all the sick and injured ones first! • TNR’ing the feral cats. Hopefully relocating them perhaps into a barn cat program, as releasing them back to this location is not the ideal place for them to be. And/or hopefully, finding homes that are willing to house and work with the feral ones. Some are just more “feral” than others and can be rehabilitated. Honestly, when the fear is handled, so is the “feral” in so many cases. They need a chance to discover what love is! • And most importantly… fixing all of them to STOP this heartbreaking vicious cycle of suffering and reproduction. This will not happen overnight. It’s a huge undertaking.🦾 It will take food, vetting, medication, spay/neuter appointments, recovery space, patience, and an enormous amount of community support. But we cannot turn our backs now that we’ve seen them, we must do. ❣️The six abandoned 4 wk old kittens are already safe with us and, thanks to your help, have their first vet visits on Wednesday, 5/20. Safe and loved, their lives are changed forever. Next up… 🚨 Immediate priority is to get the Momma with the goopy eyes and her 4 little kittens out. Though it appears it might be just infected eyes, it’s imperative that we get her out now, to get vet care. She’s nursing 4 babies, and she needs proper care, nutrition and a proper place to nurse and raise her babies. A mosquito laden, picker weed field, filled with fleas and ticks, in the soon to be sweltering Georgia heat is not that place! Hopefully, $200-$300 might prove to be sufficient for her vet bill, but there will be food to consider. And as the kittens grow, they will need their vetting as well. WAIT… PALWORLD ALSO HAS A DATING SIM COMING SOON?! (i kept going down the rabbit hole and this one sounds crazy but its real) Pal♡world! More Than Just Pals is a dating simulator that started as an April Fools joke in 2024. Pocketpair dropped a ridiculous trailer for a Palworld dating sim where you attend Palpagos Private Academy, build relationships with Pals and human characters, and depending on your choices, things can go from cute school romance to something much darker. A year later they came back with an actual Steam page, another trailer, new characters, and confirmed the game was really being developed. Then in 2026 they doubled down again with another special video and an expanded cast. (basically they kept the joke going long enough that eventually the joke became a real product, coming soon™️ lol) The actual game is a single player romance visual novel with choices and different relationship paths. You have characters like Katress, Lovander, Zoe, Chillet, Quivern, Saya, Tarantriss and Splatterina, each written around completely different dating sim archetypes. Lovander treats romance like hunting, Katress gets jealous, Splatterina is basically the obsessive yandere character, and Saya is the flirty school nurse. Pocketpair is also very deliberately mixing all of that with horror. The official Steam page straight up warns that the game contains horror elements, and even asks whether you’ll remain friends, fall in love, or dismantle and eat them. 😳 And before anyone thinks this is a “gooner” game, Pocketpair has already clarified that the real game is not supposed to be an explicit NSFW game. The original April Fools marketing joked about an adult version, but their publishing head later clarified that they’re not actually going that far. (what I’m more interested in is who this game is actually for lol) Palfarm makes sense if Pocketpair wants to reach the cozy gaming, Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley crowd. More Than Just Pals goes in almost the complete opposite direction. Now they’re targeting visual novel fans, dating sim players, anime audiences, romance fans, horror fans, and the part of internet culture that was already making Lovander memes five minutes after Palworld released. (and judging by the comments i’ve been reading, pocketpair absolutely knows who they’re dealing with. half the reaction is “why does this exist” and the other half has apparently had this thing wishlisted since the steam page went live) This is the part I keep coming back to. You don’t necessarily need every Palworld player to want every Palworld product. You need different Palworld products that give different types of people their own entry point into the IP. And interestingly, Pocketpair itself says these spinoffs aren’t some calculated attempt to build a giant “media empire.” Bucky has said projects like Palfarm and the dating sim came largely because their huge community kept asking for different ways to interact with the characters. More Than Just Pals is also one of the projects Pocketpair is actually working on internally, unlike some of the licensed Palworld projects being handled by outside companies. (that’s also the strategy without them even calling it a strategy. listen to the community, find the weird little subcultures already forming around the ip, then give each of them something they actually want) I don’t think More Than Just Pals needs to become some massive game for this experiment to work. If a person who would never spend 100 hours grinding materials in Palworld suddenly cares about Katress, Lovander or Tarantriss because they played a visual novel, Pocketpair just expanded the audience for those characters without changing the original game at all. That’s what makes this interesting to me. Palfarm is testing how far Palworld can stretch across genres. More Than Just Pals might be testing how far it can stretch across demographics. Facts about FNCS disqualification! Epic Games Store Fortnite Fortnite Competitive need to reconsider their decision to disqualify the trio palochka , wed1 and relа1$z. I’ll get straight to the point. This post was created to eliminate misinformation in the Fortnite community and reveal the full truth about what happened on 12/02/2025. It also aims to appeal the unfair decision to disqualify the trio Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz from their well-earned qualification for the FNCS Grand Finals. And, of course, to prevent such situations in the future—because this could happen to absolutely anyone. First of all, it’s important to clarify that no one was disqualified for using cheats or any other software. The disqualification happened for a completely unclear reason, but to understand the context, we need to go back to May 2023. Rela1zz and his teammates — @kontikfnx, @enrgyyyy, and ammbrat — were banned for bypassing the "REGION LOCK". However, and this is a crucial point, the "REGION LOCK" RULES were only introduced nearly six months after they had already been banned and then UNBANNED.( It’s important to clarify that the ban wasn’t because of bypassing the "REGION LOCK," as I’ve already said—at the time, there were no rules against bypassing it, and those rules only came about six months later. The ban actually came from a MASS REPORT that was created by katoo (proof in the video, that is attached to this post). Epic Games showed serious negligence by allowing such a MASS REPORT to happen, as their system isn’t perfect, and there was no thorough investigation on their part. Fortunately, they realized the mistake and the ban was issued by the auto-ban system. After a brief review that lasted about seven days, all of them were unbanned—except for Rela1zz, who was unable to verify that he was the owner of his account. As a result, he had to use his alternative account, which is not prohibited by Fortnite’s rules. In the end, this alternative account became his main one, and he used it to compete in all tournaments from April 2023 to February 2025, including last FNCS Qualifiers. The fact that the account was initially banned was a mistake of Epic Games. Because their system issued an auto-ban due to the MASS REPORT. This ban was entirely unjustified. (Epic Games can 100% confirm that, they just need to do a quick investigation.) With this context in mind, it’s clear that trio — Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz — had nothing on their way to play FNCS Qualifiers. As a result of the FNCS Group 3 Qualifiers, this trio placed top 8, which guarantees them a spot in the FNCS GRAND FINALS. However, there was 1 problem MrSavage, Mongraal and Panzer placed top 11, while qualifying for the FNCS FINALS required at least top 10. Immediately after, MrSavage began accusing the trio of Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz of using cheats, which is an absolute lie. As a result, the players faced unjustified insults from mrSavage fan's. Using his connections within Epic Games and beyond, MrSavage began pushing the narrative that Rela1zz had broken the rules in the past and was now illegally playing tournaments on a second account. He conveniently left out the fact that Epic Games had unbanned Rela1zz’s alternative account, which allowed him to continue playing in tournaments. As a result of mrSavage’s actions, the trio Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz were disqualified from the FNCS Grand Finals, and Rela1zz was banned for something that happened in 2023—even though Epic Games had already lifted his ban and allowed him to compete. So, knowing all this, why is it that after one of the most high-profile trios in Fortnite failed to qualify for the FNCS Grand Finals, the trio of Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz ended up getting disqualified? Why now, almost 2 DAMN YEARS LATER? Why is it only after MrSavage started accusing this trio of cheating, after all the noise and dispute, that some old Twitter post from Rela1zz surfaced? A post that isn’t even a valid argument for banning and disqualifying the entire trio. It’s incredibly convenient when MrSavage is a media giant with strong connections. You can get rid of anyone in the leaderboards who’s an absolute NONAME compared to you. And that’s exactly what happened with the trio of Palochka , Wed1 and Rela1zz. They put their life's on this, but they got unreasonably disqualified. Guys, don’t let this happen in our game. Don’t let corruption rise above justice and common sense. This post is meant to show the truth about what’s going on and to ensure that something like this never happens again. If we leave everything as it is, where’s the guarantee that this won’t happen again? This post isn’t about trying to offend anyone, we just want to see honesty and fairness.
