During the ongoing City Boy Movement engagement in Maiduguri, Borno State, we launched the North East Youth Employment Initiative, a programme aimed at creating meaningful employment opportunities and empowering young people across the region. The initiative is supported by Shettima Kashim, son of the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima. This is more than politics, it is about creating opportunities and giving the young people the platform to build a more prosperous future.

Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua faced backlash during the National Job Recruitment Program event at Rift Valley National Polytechnic in Nakuru County after he was shouted down by frustrated youths who claimed they were misled into believing the program offered free opportunities to work abroad. The attendees, drawn by promises of free employment in countries such as Australia, Qatar and Germany expressed outrage upon learning they would be required to pay for travel-related costs, including transport, medical examinations and other facilitation fees.

When Françoise Niyigena was awarded by Imbuto Foundation Foundation in 2012 after ranking second nationwide, it became a turning point for her entire family. Years later, she still speaks with gratitude about that moment and the opportunities it opened for her. Her story is one of many that show the impact of the work championed by First Lady, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame. Through Imbuto Foundation, countless young people, especially girls, have been encouraged to dream bigger, work harder, and believe in their potential. In a country that continues to invest in its youth, empowering girls is not simply about education or awards; it is about giving them the confidence to see themselves as leaders, innovators, and agents of change. Thank you, First Lady of Rwanda, for believing in Rwanda's young people and for creating opportunities that continue to transform lives. The success of many young women today is a reflection of seeds that were planted years ago through your vision and commitment.

I strongly urge the Punjab Government CMOPb to ensure suitable employment opportunities for the 2600 ITI-qualified apprentices who have successfully completed their apprenticeship training in spirit of National Apprenticeship act . These young men and women invested time in acquiring skills and gaining hands-on experience with the legitimate expectation that their training would translate into meaningful career opportunities. what incentive remains for our youth to pursue apprenticeship programmes The concerns of these apprentices must be addressed through dialogue, sensitivity, and constructive engagement—not force. As a commitment to supporting skilled youth, Sun Foundation India will extend assistance in facilitating job opportunities for these candidates in private sector Punjab's youth are not asking for charity; they are asking for a fair opportunity. Let us stand with them

Empowering Every Daughter, Securing Every Future! Distributed a cheque worth ₹2 crore under the 'Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana' and 'NPS Vatsalya' to empower 1000 girls financially as part of the 'Empowering Her Future' initiative by the SPRJ Kanyashala Trust in Mumbai, today. A nation can truly progress only when its daughters are educated, empowered and given equal opportunities. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' initiative has strengthened the national commitment towards the education, protection and empowerment of the girl child. Building on this vision, the 'Empowering Her Future' initiative has enrolled 1000 eligible girls under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and NPS Vatsalya Scheme. This initiative includes a ₹20,000 contribution to each eligible account, with the same contribution continuing every year for the next 10 years, creating a strong financial foundation for their education and future aspirations. India's civilisation has always believed that society grows stronger when every individual is given an opportunity to progress.
